Emma has always had her eyes on Conrad Blunt. The enigmatic and out-of-reach steamy older brother of her best friend and Emma finds herself playing a role she never would have imagined in her wildest dreams.

Visiting Denver, and recently broken up with his ex, Conrad asks his secretary to organize an escort to accompany him to a charity ball…but, unbeknownst to him, his over-protective sister Violet is dead-set against the idea. There’s no way she’ll let her brother date an escort…so she sets him up with her friend instead but Conrad doesn’t remember the gorgeous and transformed woman from the girl he once knew.

What Conrad sees in Emma is potential—an underlying strength coupled with the desire to surrender to his command. And Emma finds Conrad impossible to resist…

But Emma has sworn to Violet that she won’t touch Conrad—that the escort role is just that—a role. But now she’s in way over her head. The question is, will she be able to find her way out…and does she even want to?

This book was entertaining for all the wrong reasons.

I was laughing out loud at the “dirty talk” and the descriptions of Emma’s genitals. She did nothing but “quiver” throughout the entire thing.

“Quelling another full body quiver”

“a volcanic rush that turned her quivery thighs to jelly”

“her full lips quivering”

“already quivering in secret corners”

By secret corner, do you mean your vagina, Emma?

Her character was basically a constant flip flop. She was there to play the role of an escort, and couldn't let Conrad know that she (apparently) has been fatasizing about him for years.

“Emma had accepted to take on [this mission] with the understanding that none of this was real. As such she could never let Conrad guess her true feelings for him, no matter how tempting it was to give into reckless desire.”

Thats a bit hard to do when she always has to deal with her body doing things like

“As every nut and bolt in her pussy tightened with joyous acknowledgement of this object of her fantasies.”

and

“Quell a sudden sense of dripping from her hidden folds”

and

“her nipples twinging”

and thinking about

“riding his cock till her brain matter ignited”

The story, what story? There is more story in the blurb than there is in the entire 37 pages of this. I had no idea it was set in Denver until I read the blurb (after reading the story). There is also no explaination that they had ever met before, like is hinted in the blurb. Good storytelling there.

The sexy talk and sex descriptions, when it wasn't causing me to laugh so hard the people on the train thought I was bonkers, it actually made me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit.

“Amazing. You must be dripping cream, baby. All for me.”

and

“Emma’s vaginal muscles contracted ceaselessly around Conrad’s rampaging dick.

I would be running away so fast if someone's dick was rampaging anywhere around my person.

The editing. So much has been missed. Weird words, missing words, wrong words, sentences that don’t make sense. This needed a beta reader or a better copyeditor.

What really sealed this as a bad read for me was when she said Conrad was
“so freaking sexy she could lick his face.”

LICKING FACES IS NOT OK. I REPEAT. NOT OK.

I do have to give props to the author though, although the sex was not sexy, it was SAFE.

This was free on amazon, but the time I put into reading this, I can’t get back.

I will not be reading further installments of this series.

1.5 Stars, it gets an extra half star for the unintentional entertainment factor.

Excellent quick read, finished the first book in an hour. Only thing I don't like is they call it a series when it's really one book split into four parts. The ending of part four really pisses me off!!!! It's like the just set up a scene and BAM end the book. EEERR!

This is a novella about Emma and Conrad. Conrad's sister talks Emma into being his date for an event he needs to attend. Conrad doesn't know that Emma is his sister's friend and believe her to his paid escort. When he see her he wants her. Emma has always wanted him, but knew that he was off limits because he is the brother of her bff. This is Emma's opportunity to get close to her crush without her bff having an issue with it. This love story is cute and the characters are great. The sex is awesome. You may need to use the bathroom after reading on of those sex scenes. I feel like the ending was rushed. This is a HEA. I will be getting another one of Lucia Jordan's books. Good reads.

perfect!!!

I absolutely love that Emma follows her heart even though if she feels wrong while doing it. Sometimes doing something seen as "wrong" can have an amazing ending and this book is just one of the ways it can happen. Lucia is an amazing writer and I can't wait to read more of her writing.

BDSM and short

Interesting read if you like these types of stories. It's definitely a short story and can be read in an afternoon. Skips ahead at times but gives you the details necessary to not feel you missed much.

Lucia Jordan hits it out of the series park with another eye opening page turner that doesn't disappoint. I am a fan and will always be with works like this.

Not enough detail

Good story but abruptly goes from A to K to U and then Z. Lots of missed opportunity for storyline and great sex.

Nailed Complete series (review at Amazon and Goodreads)

A Cinderella like story with hot suggestions of steamy encounters and actual sex and BDSM scenes. The sex, BDSM and conversations were engrossing. I especially appreciated how the author showed a married, committed and loving couple shared their love through the BDSM scenes. I would have liked more details regarding the lead characters development regarding their budding feelings for each other and regarding their thoughts about the secondary characters especially the H's sister who lead them to find each other and his ex a character who could have been written with more dimension for her vicious and pettiness. Overall a good read.

As it's Valentines day I though I would try to get in the spirit by reading something a little fruity.

It's always been my mission to read as many kinds of books as possible so it was time for me to read another erotica book. I'm not going to beat about the bush with this one. Just a short, flash of a review.

So how was it for me?

It's another example of those marketing ploys that pisses some people off, where an author writes a book and divides it into 3 or 4 books and you are hoodwinked into buying 3 or 4 books instead of one. As usual the first one is free and then the publishers are hoping to get the reader hooked so that they will purchase the others.

I won't. This was fun, sexy and and probably written by a guy. Lucia Jordan, really?

I wish it were possible to give a book less than one star. This was AWFUL. It was 10000% cringe worthy. What I had hoped would be a quick and fun read was excruciating. The way this author depicts the 'steamy sex' scenes makes me think a child with zero sexual experience could have done better - in fact, I probably have read smut by a 13 year old that was better than this. I hate to be so negative, I usually try to find something good about each book I read, but there's nothing. The characters are 2D, the dialogue is boring, the descriptive detail is horrible. This entire book was just... sad. Please spare yourself the pain of reading this.

The only thing that Ms. Jordan nailed was annoying the crap out of me! The fact that these two characters call their "connection" love baffles me. At least in similar books the characters have some sort of emotional connection besides just sex. But with the way this book fast-tracked through everything, there was no chance at a connection and the author did a shit job of making the characters even a tiny bit likable.

Another thing, I wish authors would quit calling a 50 page story a book....4 separate books that are a combined 200 pages, are not books...call them what they are, short stories or novellas.

Thank fuck it was a quick read or I'd be pissed I wasted my time on this junk.

I have to be honest and sometimes honesty is brutal. This might be the worst book I've ever read. I usually try to find something positive but this had horrible grammar, missing words, incorrect word usage. I get, that with self publishing everybody is now a writer. So I will say this. If you don't have an editor or at least proof reader don't publish a book. Take a step back and read up on creative writing.

This was more a half finished story then a novel. First off, it seemed as though there was no editing done - there were a lot of really obvious errors. In addition, it was as though the author got bored with her own story - she would just skip time and provide very little transition context. This happened several times. The story had no real climax, it felt as though it started trying to build towards something and then just fizzled out.

I liked the book. It gave off a Fifty Shades of Grey vibe but with its own twist. I love the escort approach but the little mentions of the sister confuse me. I do wish it was longer. I thought that the book was a sample and I was waiting to see what happened next. It definitely grabbed my attention and I would recommend it to my friends.

HOT!!!

I received this ARC to give my honest opinion. My honest opinion of this book is that I truly enjoyed learning about Conrad and Emma's relationship. I really wish there was one more book to this series but overall I really enjoyed it. Lucia you are pure GENIUS when it comes to writing BDSM romance and I cannot wait to read more of your books.

Just a little to neat and tidy

Enjoyable from start to finish. I would have liked seeing a little more conniving from Sam, I always enjoy a good "bad bitch". I enjoyed the complete series. I hope sometime in the future, we get an update on Emma and Conrad, and find out more about his friend's club.

WARNING: Series that is disjointed

Although I enjoyed the story, there were times it became boring. The beginning or book one seemed more interesting than the entire story. It could be because each book makes it a series therefore the flow is off because it wasn't written as a stand alone book with chapters. Nonetheless, I will read another book by this author.

This book is just enough to piss you off! Can't believe I spent $2.99.. Ending sucked! 144 pages .... REALLY!! Ridiculous. If you want spoilers I'll give them to you... Just ask. But just so you know... The "4" chapters she calls a series doesn't lead to an in depth conversation. UGH

Hmmm...I wish she wouldn't have lied, I mean I've read the plot and she lied till Book 4. And that's no fun. But anyway, I guess the reason for this to make them develop a deeper connection. But I am not reading anymore.
