High Octane Action!! Fast paced!! Obsessive love!! Dark family ties!! Loads of trauma turned into weapons!! Scorching hot chemistry and some kink for good measure!! MCs who will bleed and die for each other and the ones they love!! Clashing agendas of powerful organisations facing resistance. Plot twists you definitely don’t see coming, a young child caught in the cross hairs with secrets piled on! Building an atypical but massively loving family amidst the rubble!
If this sounds like something you want to read, read this book asap, maybe read the series it’s fire!!

I wouldn't call this a fun read, because of the content in this, but it did have some funny lines here and there. Diego and Jasper were two people that just worked together, I really liked them 😊 And Jasper with a Katana did something to me, especially in one... particular scene 🥵

4.5 stars - As with the previous stories, this story continues where the previous on left off, which you absolutely have to read to understand this world. AT this point, Diego and Jasper are laying low with Eight recovering from the crazy rescue mission. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for things to catch up sending them on the run once again.
As things unfold, we learn quite a bit more about how Jasper and Eight are connected and why Jasper’s father is now after them. Diego gets his family involved, a mafia-type family that specializes in smuggling. There is a lot to this storyline as well as to why Diego walked away from them and how he now needs them to fight for them. Before they can really convince them to help, danger closes in giving them little choice.
Through all of this, we have Diego and Jasper accepting their relationship and commitment to each other, if they can get through what lies ahead, of course.
Along the way, Lorenzo is back in the picture, not in much better shape than when we left him in the last book. Rafael and also Luka and Vincent are involved here although what we think are rescue missions turn out to be the opposite with different factions at play from different directions. It sound a bit confusing and convoluted, but it is all laid out fairly easy to follow. And, having read the previous books, it is easy to understand what is happening and who all the players are.
Speaking of players, the mysterious Judge Rhadamanthys is once again involved. Although he seemed to be on the side of our guys, as much as he could be, the water gets a bit muddier here at times.
This story contains a lot of violence and action with suspense and mystery added in. Underneath that all, we have the relationships. Even though this one picks up pretty quickly (more so than the previous books that ramped up as the story went along), it also gets more exciting and nail-biting as it plays out. There are still a number of loose ends, although we get to see our guys in this story get to a place where they decide their part in the fight is over and they want to focus on themselves and making a family/home for Eight (Mila). Judge Rhadamanthys and now Nevada have decided to keep up the fight and I’m already excited to read more about them.

Yeah, this series really does just keep getting better. I am absolutely obsessed with every single character Eveland has managed to craft for these books, but out of the three we've gotten so far? Deathless was the best. I loved the relationships that really blossomed in this. We're a year out after the end of Godless and it doesn't seem like nothing much has changed since then. Diego and Jasper are still sniffing around each other but unwilling to do more than make eyes.
The romance in this felt fast but the pace worked well for the characters. They've been with each other as . . . friends(?) for a few years and the relationship was clear even if Jasper and Diego were incapable of having an honest conversation at the start of this. I really loved how Diego and Eight worked together. The relationship was so tentative and soft. Every character was so vibrant and well written. Even the side characters of Diego's family gave impact.
The plot in this moved fast. There didn't seem to be a lot of down time between Jasper and Diego having to kill someone or rescue someone else. In between the battles, they spent a lot of their meager free time being filthy. The smut scenes are fairly well written in my opinion. They were surprisingly tame, compared to previous installments in the series. The suspense stayed ratcheted up and the climax to the story had me particularly nervous for the family dynamics between Jasper, Diego, and Eight.
I loved this. I love this series. It's exactly what I'm looking for when I want a dark queer romance. The prose is flowery without feeling like I'm being talked down to. The descriptions of people and things are thorough and a touch poetic. Just the best series for violence, tension, and men that are more monster than human at times.

This is a Dark Romance that follows a secret society of assassins (Think John Wick world) so check the TWs before heading in! This is also Book 3 in The Ferrymen Series and it ABSOLUTELY needs to be read in order! The books end on a HEA with the duo but the plot is a HFN

I loved Jasper and Diego the minute they popped up in book 1 so I was very excited to get to their book! We pick up sorta right where we left off from book 2 the guys are hiding out from dirt bag Zeus and they have Eight with them the little girl they rescued from the end of book 2. We get her origin story as well as what put Jasper on the run for all this time. After their safety is put in jeopardy the guys go back to Diego's family for sanctuary and even that is challenged. Through all the fights Eight get captured and taken to Zeus and now the guys have to go directly to the place they have been avoiding to get her back, because leaving her just isn't an option.
There is so much going on in this one so to avoid spoilers that's the bare bones info for ya 🤣 I loved the banter between Jasper and Diego and then all the throw backs to each of their grandmother's through the story I laughed out loud in some spots. The underlying heart of the story that sometimes family is what you make it, and not always determined by blood just warmed my heart there was a spot I noticed right away when they referenced Eight as "our girl" instead of just Eight and I did a chest clutch 🥹
We have one final book in this series and I can't wait to see how this is going to end!

Jasper and Diego’s dynamic feels established long before the story begins, which makes their shift into something more land with extra weight. There’s a push between them built on avoidance, loyalty, and everything they’re not saying, and once that finally starts to crack, it’s hard to look away. The pacing of their relationship works because of that shared history, it never feels rushed, just inevitable.
Diego’s ties to his family add another layer, grounding the story in something deeply personal, while Jasper’s connection to the Pantheon brings constant pressure and danger. That contrast between chosen loyalty and inherited conflict runs through the entire book and gives their relationship real stakes.
The plot moves quickly, with very little breathing room, but it suits the tone. There’s always something happening from shifting alliances, threats closing in and it keeps the tension high without losing focus on the characters.

Well, just like any L. Eveland series I never wanted this to end. When I finish a book and I look up, I have to re-orient myself back to the real world. And this world of The Ferryman and The Pantheon just is a complete universe. I remember when I was first reading about it in Ruthless I walked through the headquarters following L. Eveland's descriptions like it was a dream.
This Romani and Russian worlds had my mouth hanging open. The folklore, the tales passed down, the language, the cooking, the weapons just blossomed under the author's research.
Always through all the books the strength of the teachings whether it was Prometheous for Luka, Dionysus for Rafael or Zeus for Jasper is brutal, emotionless and never ending. Thank goodness for Vincent, Lorenzo and Diego to stop the spirals into complete madness.
Surprisingly in Deathless there were personal things for me, irl.

Deathless by L. Eveland is absolute chaos in the best way—fast-paced, high-stakes, and completely addictive.
This book has everything. Action, danger, obsessive love, dark family ties, trauma, plot twists you won’t see coming… and characters who would literally burn the world down for each other. If that’s your vibe, read this immediately (but definitely read the series in order).
Jasper and Diego had me hooked from the start. Diego is all heart—he gives everything for Jasper, no hesitation. And Jasper… he’s complicated, quiet, and shaped by a brutal past, which makes him harder to fully understand at times, but no less compelling.
The stakes in this one felt even higher, especially with Eight. The way they start to see her as theirs? That got me. The found family element really hit, especially in the middle of all the chaos and danger.
There’s a lot going on, but it never slows down. It kept me on edge the whole time. I did miss a bit of the lighter banter from earlier books, but it makes sense given how heavy Jasper’s story is here.
Overall, this was intense, emotional, and packed with action. A wild ride with a hard-fought HEA and just enough left open to make me desperate for the next book.

Both men harbor quite a bit of guilt.
Deathless is a really good read, with teachings from the story of Koschei the Deathless from Slavic folklore. Now I have started going down my own rabbit hole of Russian folklore.
The banter and quick wit from the previous books are missing in this one. Jasper does not speak much, preferring to observe from the sidelines. I felt like I didn't know Jasper as well as the other characters.

4 ⭐️ Deathless is book 3 in the ferrymen series which follows the story of Jasper and Diego. Two very stubborn men who harbor secrets, pain, guilt and so many emotions. These two had me at the edge of my seat for most of the story. Diego absolutely won my heart over , that man was top tier willing to give up absolutely everything for Jasper.
This one was full of just as much action as the previous ones but we don’t get the funny banter between the couple that we see in the first two books which I for sure missed .
We get to see a lot more character development for Diego than Jasper since Jasper was more of a silent observer. I did love the touch him and die vibes Jasper gave off , so it made up for it a bit . The intensity of their love for eachother was for sure a roller coaster, but their connection was outmatched.
This was a great read and absolutely sets up the perfect pick up spot for book 4 and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here

This entry into the Ferrymen series hit me in a way I wasn’t expecting. I cried more than I thought I would as Diego and Jasper’s story went on, but I also laughed and smiled. The chemistry between them was apparent from their very first appearance. And their banter was amazing.
The relationship between Diego, Jasper, and Eight was definitely my favorite part. The way they cared for her and how she clung to them had me smiling. It was beautiful watching them grow together.
Deathless was action, fight scenes, blood, and violence. But at its core, this was a story about family, both blood and found. About how the family you find can be just as, or even stronger, than the one you share blood with.
After the events of this book, I’m both eager and scared for the next one.

I want to preface this by saying I have loved and enjoyed every book in this series so far! Unfortunately, I didn't love Diego and Jasper's story as much as I was hoping to. I didn't sense much of a deep connection between them and the story didn't flow as smoothly for me as the other books in this series did. There is still a lot to like in this book though, the characters themselves were great, I liked being able to see past characters make appearances and I loved how this author continued the overarching plotline in an exciting way. It makes you want more and wonder about what's going to happen next, and I love that!
I thought it was so great that Eight became Mila and inherited a found family after being rescued. All of these characters have gone through so much and it was really beautiful seeing them get their own happy ending. I cannot wait to see what's in store next!

Deathless, The Ferrymen Book Three, by L. Eveland, is the third installment in the Ferryman series. This is the story of Jasper and Diego, friends and insecure lovers. The story flows seamlessly from the second book, but it’s not necessary to have read the previous story to enjoy this one. Lots of running and fighting as they find the courage to claim each other and the soldier-child they rescued from a man who wants her back at all costs. The HEA is worth the wait. Looking forward to book four. I also purchased this book. DISCLAIMER: I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Deathless is the third book in The Ferrymen series. This could be read as a standalone but in my opinion this series is best read in order, so why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story of Jasper and Diego. I couldn't put this book down once I started it. This was a rollercoaster ride of emotion, action, and secrets. Watching these guys figure things out was so good. The steam and possessiveness was wonderful. This book and series are so good and I can't wait for the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads.

Jasper and Diego are perfect for each other. They needed each other in their lives. Diego kept Jasper and Eight safe. And they had to fight a lot of bad people. But for them the most important person was nine year old Eight. When things go wrong and they’re on the run they can no longer fight their feelings. And it just goes to show they’re better together. I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend!

This series just grabs you and doesn't let go! In book 3 we continue with the non-stop action we meet characters Diego, Jasper and a child eight, and get lots of Russian folk lore.
That alone should make you want to keep reading! I dont want to spoil anything what I can say is this book picks up right after book 2, and we will get some background info on some of our favorite Characters. That's something I love in stories getting the why behind people or situations and it was done well here.
Spice i would say 3/5 , action 5/5 good addition to the series.

I was totally pulled into the plot, right from the start. Jasper and Diego are a combustible pair, and I enjoyed their story and the family they fashioned out of the rumble of their past. Jasper is maybe the hardest character to know so far, but I enjoyed seeing him fight his demons for Eight and Diego. This was excellent, I think my favorite series from this author.

I have been wanting to read about Jasper and Diego since the moment they were introduced. I am definitely not disappointed. Their relationship was interesting to read. This book was more full of action as they tried to make their way to safety. I absolutely adored Eight and the progress she made with Jasper and Diego. I loved the epilogue. It fits them and I am glad to see them get there after going through what they went through. I can't wait to read the next one, sad it's the final one.

Part three of an ongoing series, concentrating on Jasper and Diego and the child Eight. There is a lot more intrigue and violence, fitting well with the previous books. Diego's family was particularly interesting, being a smuggling Romani group. He had the clear parental love, which Jasper and Eight missed out on, making their growing family even more complicated. A very well-earned HEA for this little family, and a promise for an excellent series finale to come in the next book.

Throughout this series Jasper and Diego have been there to help the ferrymen in their time of need. Not a lot was known except Jasper had a past with Zeus and Diego walked away from his Romani heritage to be with Jasper and Eight was living with them.
Having read the previous book, I knew that whatever was going to happen, it was not going to be easy especially when Jasper's past catches up with him.
There is action from the start and some heart stopping moments when danger comes knocking. I loved learning more about Diego's Romani heritage and finding out the reason why Jasper walked away. I loved Jasper's scenes with his katana and wow that man has skills.
That moment Jasper and Diego accepted their attraction and they would tear down the world for each other. I was there for every word.
With Judge Rhadamanthys making an appearance, I am eagerly waiting for his story

Why, just why..... did I have to finish this book.
Love this series soooo much, love the writing.
Jasper and Diego are non stop, another saviour experience for assassins, with sheet melting scenes.
On one had the Pantheon do make some sense on another they are corrupt as anything and our boys are stuck in the middle

This is the story of Jasper raised by Zeus and Diego a Romani. The third book in The Ferryman series, it is the first one I read and definitely going to read the first two. Jasper and Diego are friends and lovers, the story is really fast paced and intense. Yes this may be a love story, but there is brutal warfare, danger and tends to be heartbreaking even with a happy ending.

Jasper and Diego are on the run with Jasper's daughter Eight from Zeus's son Achilles. In this third Ferryman book it's all about taking down Zeus with the aid of other Pantheon men and Diego's resistance fighters who happen to smuggle people and things. It has a lot of steam and/or blood as Jasper and Diego work out their relationship, rescue Eight and are in battle after battle.

Jasper and Diego had amazing chemistry.
The way they fought to stay together despite everything and everyone trying to keep them apart was great.
The addition of Eight was wonderful and I loved how hard they fought to kerp her safe.

really liked it
I really liked this book. 4.5 stars for rating, 3 for spice. After meeting Jasper and Diego in prior books, it was nice to see their story and connection. It’s definitely a rough ride for everyone. Looking forward to the next book!

Decent
This was like a 300 page action scene with some spice scattered in there. It was a bit overwhelming to me. I was glad to see the girl and liked how she was I huge part of this book.
