Look What the Pack Dragged In

Rate this book
A pack won’t solve all your problems--but kittens can.

Maeve loves her job at the cat rescue, but sometimes she feels like something is missing.

Being a misunderstood, anxious Omega without a pack isn’t easy. Logan, the new delicious-smelling veterinarian at the animal clinic next door, only complicates matters.

So does her crush on Ivan, the sweet vet tech, and Fang, the bad-boy guitar teacher.

Then, an impromptu road trip to rescue a mother cat and her kittens turns spicy when Maeve ends up snowed in with all three Alphas—and there’s only one bed to share.

Just when she thinks she’s finally found the pack of her dreams, a health emergency threatens to ruin everything and forces Maeve to confront her demons.

Will Maeve be able to overcome her fears and realize that she does deserve a pack after all, or will she limit herself to only the comfort of purrs and biscuits from her kittens?

The build up and tension to Piper and her men becoming a pack was great. They were all so sweet on each other. Shy, and nervous about messing it up but fairly open about their feelings. Over the top levels of cheese but I liked it.

The heavier aspects lost me. Piper deals with crippling levels of anxiety, she is constantly plagued by thoughts of worst case scenarios. It really bothered me how dismissive her friends and brother were of her struggles. They worried about her but were often condescending and patronizing. And when she finds her pack, who support her, her brother makes her question if she is ready, or if they will leave her because of how much she is to deal with. It genuinely broke my heart and pissed me off. I wanted a moment where her men stood up for her in front of her friends and brother and told them to knock it off, but we don't get that and it bothered me.

This is the second omegaverse in a row I've read that has used a sudden heat to bridge the relationship gap. Stop it!! It's lazy. It can bring the characters closer together but using it for the heavy lifting is lazy.

Overall, solid fluff but totally whiffed Piper's mental health journey.

I liked Pack Scratch Fever more 🥲 As much as I liked Maeve's sunshine, Logan's shyness, Fang's confidence and Ivan's assertiveness, I found all their characters pretty inconsistent throughout. ☹️ Their chemistry wasn't very strong and it felt like 4 different individuals being together.

Avery also really pissed me off. 😤 And I liked him in Pack Scratch Fever! Why did his character get ruined! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Another magnificent book📚 by LILIANA CARLISLE🔞

Spice level 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (out of 5 🌶️) This is an deliciously spicy 🥵book📕.📌Ohhhhh👀 the down right filthy🥵dirty talk‼️holy moly. WOW.😮And the rough and spicy scenes. I think I am in love 🥰. I gave it a 5 rating on dirty talk alone. Because I love dirty talk and a man that is aggressive and knows what he wants and takes charge.

Another magnificent book📚 by LILIANA CARLISLE🔞
This is a 💛M/FMM BOOK 📖 🔞
Book consists of 3 uniquely different ALPHAS 😍
LILIANA CARLISLE is ONE of my favorite omegaverse reverse harem author ✍️

🥰 I loved this book. I did not put this book down unless I needed coffee or to use the restroom. I devoured this book. These are the type of books that I enjoy most. They have the ability to just suck you in and you can’t put it down.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This book is a masterpiece that got stuck at 99% loading. It’s fantastic, it’s polished, and I’m definitely recommending it to everyone I know—but that final 1% of 'wow factor' is playing hide-and-seek. It’s like a high-five where the hands don't quite make that satisfying pop sound. Still a great time, still worth the sleep deprivation, but I’m keeping my ‘All-Time Favorites’ shelf gated off for just a little longer." This whole series so far has been wonderful

lovely premise

This book had such a good and lovely premise and at times this really was the perfect read. However the way other characters deal with and talk about the fmc and what she calls the “worries” really didn’t sit right with me. Whilst you’d never inherently think there was anything wrong with it for me I didn’t like it. I don’t feel like these are her best friends or family with their best interest at heart. Also the fact this doesn’t have any group scenes (and I’m sorry two being there for a bonding with light touching but that’s it the entire book doesn’t count) everything was done one on one really and I just dislike that when a book is branded as a reverse harem.

RECOMMENDED!!

NOTE: The anxiety centered scenes are intense, but always quickly resolved/reassured/realistically handled - minus maybe two chapters. This is an anxiety friendly book, but maybe have a coping mechanism ready just to be safe lol.
————————————
TLDR: Five stars and maybe a three on my personal spice scale. Maeve and her pack have a heartwarming and relatable story with awesome human and feline background characters. I loved this book and I definitely recommend!
————————————
This whole interconnected series has been so heartwarming, and Maeve’s story is no different. I enjoyed the fact that she built her MFMM pack, though I love the other books with previously established packs too lol. The men’s personalities and values definitely complement not only each other, but Maeve as well. Each character in this series, both MCs and background characters all provide relief and support. This includes the previous two packs, Mari’s matchmaking, Dr. Jolie and Ramona’s support, the alphas (obviously), Charity’s help, and the cats providing kitten therapy.

Not going to lie, I cried both happy and sad tears throughout the book and the dehydration is absolutely worth it. The epilogues have all had me in my feels, showing each cat’s perspective of their families really tied up each story in a memorable way. Without a doubt I’d read books entirely about them with their perspectives, they would be ADORABLE.

I connected to Maeve in SO many ways - with anxiety, punishing myself, using avoidance/self isolation/detachment in order to process, etc. and multiple times her thought process hit HARD. But reading through her journey to her HEA helped me acknowledge some things that I had previously buried internally and definitely need to work on.

Since I'm already here...

Maeve's story was adorable. I loved her friendship with Ivan—they were so painfully, obviously head over heels for each other while somehow managing not to say anything. Logan's awkward shyness was ridiculously endearing, and I am forever a sucker for a guitarist in a leather jacket.
So yes, Fang had my attention from the start.

(Though... I can't lie. I actually like his real name better. I mean, come on... who doesn't love an Adrian? 😻)

Like the rest of the Luna County Omega series, Look What the Pack Dragged In is cozy, low-stakes omegaverse. It's the perfect palate cleanser between heavier books—or for those days when you just want a romance that won't leave you emotionally incapacitated. 😄

Maeve has been a super fun character throughout this series, so I went into her book ridiculously excited… and while I still enjoyed it, this one just didn’t hit the same way for me.

The cozy cat rescue vibes? Adorable. The kittens? Tiny scene-stealing fluff goblins. The snowed-in road trip setup with three Alphas and one bed had all the ingredients for chaos and spice, and there were definitely moments that made me smile.

But Maeve herself fell a little flat for me in her own story, which honestly surprised me after loving her so much in the previous books. I really wanted to connect more deeply with her journey, especially with the anxiety and self-worth themes, but something just kept me at arm’s length emotionally.

That said, the romance was still sweet, the pack dynamics were fun, and the emotional moments surrounding found family and healing were handled well. Logan, Ivan, and Fang each brought something different to the story, and I loved the balance between soft comfort and steamy tension.

Even though this wasn’t my favorite installment in the series, it was still an enjoyable read, and I’m absolutely invested enough to keep going. Plus… any book featuring kittens delivering emotional support biscuits automatically earns bonus points.

Look What the Pack Dragged In is a charming omegaverse read! The challenge our heroine faces is anxiety attacks that are particularly centered around the cats she loves. They spiral so much she wonders if she’ll ever find a pack that will understand her. What she doesn’t realize is that she needs to take a good hard look at the boys next door….

One of the things I loved about this book is that it’s about forming a pack, not an omega integrating into an already existing pack. That’s a style you don’t find as often in omegaverse romance, and it was refreshing. I also liked that Maeve was aware of her own overdramatization of what might befall the cats she loves and yet struggles with adjusting that. That made her reactions more palatable than annoying.

Her pack members were perfect balances for her, and I loved that one of them struggled with anxiety and how folks perceived him as well. (Though I have to admit, I wondered why anyone would keep using the nickname Fang. It struck me as a teenaged action that most adults would have moved away from.)

Overall, this is a charmer of an omegaverse read. Carlisle has created an endearing romance in Look What the Pack Dragged In.

As soon as I got the notification about a new Liliana Carlisle omegaverse ARC, I dropped everything and read the ARC in one sitting. She writes some of my favorite omegaverse books!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love Maeve as the FMC. She is easily misunderstood and her emotions can sometimes become too much.

The three MMCs, Logan, Ivan, and Fang were delicious. I adored how much they respected Maeve and took care of her. All of them being amazing cat and animals lovers was a bonus.

Liliana had me giggling, blushing, and crying through the book. Loved it all! Can't wait for the next one!

Could it get any sweeter?

This series has spoken to me from the beginning being a fellow animal lover, but Maeve’s story hits home so much!
Maeve who is a brave worrier that is really misunderstood. She has so much heart and sometimes finds it hard to get past down days. I feel everyone can relate to Maeve on some level.
Now her Alphas…omg are they perfect! Also who wouldn’t want to hook up with a musician named Fang? Yes please!
Ivan, Logan and Fang could not have been written better for Maeve. They were supportive, kind, overcoming their own hangups and boy were they ALL IN to their omega.
Classic misunderstandings , meddling friends, cats and of course so much spice! I found myself cheering for Maeve’s “go for it” attitude throughout this book. Easy read for a weekend. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed the vulnerability of this book. Maeve is a sensitive soul who sometimes gets overwhelmed with her worries. She doesn't think this is okay, but as we meet her pack throughout the book, she starts to realize that they have some similar troubles and they are there for her to support her. Although this is of course after her brother mistakenly made her doubt every decision she made about her pack. Ivan, the vet tech next door has been crushing on her since day 1. And now his buddy Logan is the new vet in the clinic and he sees that Logan instantly has a thing for Maeve. And then there's Fang, who is Maeve's professor in guitar class. Her men are shy, vulnerable, and understanding.

4.5/5⭐️

Maeve’s story was so worth the wait!! If you love sappy, emotional, and fluffy (mixed with some angst from some characters’ previous trauma of course) romances that also happen to be pretty pet centered, this is absolutely the book for you! As a cat mom and someone who loves their pet extremely dearly, I’ve loved this series. I relate to Maeve so much with her pet anxiety, and feeling things extremely deeply, even if it isn’t to her level. It’s so wonderful to read about characters like Maeve (and her pack of course) who love animals more than themselves sometimes, but with the support of their own found families, they learn to love and care for themselves more. And of course the epilogue was a special treat that had me tearing up BIG time in the best way possible!!

This is the first book of the series that I've read and I was hooked, beginning to end. I loved Maeve's journey to happiness, and the concept of actually deserving love. She's got past trauma and gets her emotional fixes at the cat shelter. If you're a pet parent, you'll fully get her devotion, care and worry for the wee felines. I certainly could well relate ;) That she's crushing on Ivan, the vet tech, Logan the vet, and Fang the guitar teacher is obvious as they go on a cat rescue mission. The forced proximity/one bed situation helped beautifully to move things along for this group ;P If you love supportive, shy and caring men, you'll quickly fall for her guys, as well. I loved it and can't wait to dive into the rest of the series :D

Sweet, sensitive Maeve struggles with feeling too much. She and Ivan are best friends. They are both attracted to each other, but they are afraid to do anything about it. Logan goes to work with Ivan, but when he meets Maeve, he is so surprised by her that he acts like a jerk. As a way to help with her overwhelming feelings, Maeve’s brother suggests she take a music class. She gets another surprise when her omega decides she likes her professor, too. On a short road trip with all her alphas to pick up some foster cats, things go awry, and they all end up snowed in together at a cabin as Maeve’s heat hits the early. Spicy with sweet and caring alphas. Loved it!!!

Back to the Cat Rescue!

Maeve is a worrier, always with the “what ifs”. She is the number one lifelong cat lover. She is falling for Ivan the alpha vet tech at the next door Veterinary clinic. He is the best alpha I have ever read about. He is wise beyond his years. Avery, Maeve brother, signs her up for guitar lessons thinking it might help her confidence. Little did he know Fang, the professor is a scent match to his little sister. This girl will have a lot of loving if she could stop worrying. This is a great cat omegaverse like the first two, The Pack’s Pajamas and Pack Scratch Fever! I can’t wait for the next book “The Cat’s Meow”. These are sweet omegaverse books.

Tropes: omegaverse, cat lovers, love from first sight, super cozy & sweet and super spicy

I’ve had a rough reading year so far and i feel like this book has healed me. It was so easy and sweet written that i couldn’t have stopped and have been reading it for the last 2 days and have finished it with tears on my eyes.

As a fellow cat lover with 2 cats i have not expected to see the love of FMC and her pack to the cats and their total dedication to them. It was really wholesome, super cozy and really sweet.

At the same time i’m truly surprised how spicy this book was too! The overall pack feeling was there too!

I’m glad to find this author and will be reading her other books too.

- A heartwarming omegaverse why choose (MFMM) that sees Maeve, a cat lover and rescuer, find her HEA after emerging from the shadows of her panic/anxiety.
- Maeve's alphas are very different but lovable in their own way. We have a sunshine veterinary tech, an introverted veterinarian and a bad boy musician.
- Tropes:
🐈‍⬛ Scent matches
🐈‍⬛ Surprise heat
🐈‍⬛ Snowed in with only one bed
🐈‍⬛ Age gap
🐈‍⬛ Mental health rep
- The epilogue from 🐱 Bean's POV is the cutest and sweetest thing ever.
- Maeve is literally living my dream with her alpha purr parties, kitten therapy and sushi binges.

- Some may be disappointed by the lack of group scenes.

Another Amazing Pack Story!

This was an absolutely amazing story and I couldn’t put it down. It was so well written and getting to see Maeve finally get her pack with her alphas was awesome. Fang Logan and Ivan make the perfect trio of Alpha‘s. They all complement her so well and each pick up a part of her. Logan is an awesome veterinarian. While Ivan is his assistant. And fang is a music teacher at the college. I really look forward to reading more about these different people in their packs and the cat rescue.

This is the third book in the series, and it did not disappoint. It is a perfect Cozy read!!!
Lilliana Carlisle writes the most cozy wholesome omegavers books I have ever read. It has an amazing MFC and MMC. I love that the MC have a different mental problems and they help each other to be better, not cure the mental problems.
I also love to see how it is going with the previous MFC.

Oh my my, I immediately knew our girl was in for it with Ivan but then when Logan popped up so very quickly I was all in and then Fang was introduced and I was as giddy as they get. So very happy she was able to find her way to tame her anxiety with many delicious men!

I love how these books revolve around the rescue and the work they do. I can't get enough of this group and love all their interactions.

Maeve's story is everything I had hoped it would be. I wanted to know so much more about her after the last book and I really enjoyed her story. Her guys were fantastic. Fang was my favorite and I loved how supportive Ivan was in building her pack. He had me laughing constantly with his meddling. Her mental health representation was fantastic. We are our own worst enemy sometimes. Truly a great read!

A bit juvenile, but would have been ok except for the knotting problem: sex face to face culminating in a knot, and when he eases them to their sides after, he's spooning her from behind. Huh? Has this author ever HAD sex in other than basic missionary? (There's an acrobatic sex technique I have seen illustrated, where the woman is on top and, while skewered, rotates slowly around in stages, but that wasn't happening here.)

Maeve's Story
This was such a sweet and fun read!
The plot was refreshing. There was minimal drama, emotional moments, humor, spicy scenes, and love.

Maeve was sweet and sensitive, but so easy to love. She also had 3 adoring alphas in Ivan, Logan, and Fang. I loved how different they were. I also loved how the pack formed because of Maeve.
The epilogue was perfect!

This was cute! This is one of my favorite Omegaverse series…and I don’t really even like cats😹 I loved the initial ad l friendship of her and Ivan and loved how supportive he was with her building her pack. Logan was adorable. I didn’t feel super connected with Fang but he was likable enough. I was hoping they’d bring another omega into this world so there would be another book!

good overall!

I love how her struggles are presented and not judged by her men. Though the story kinda gets taken over by the cats, though they are a lovely and intricate part of the story. There are a few grammatical errors and words missing or misplaced but it doesn’t take away from the story when reading. Great storyline and very excellent men!!

Overall 3.5 ⭐️
