When Pete Winters, a college dropout scarred by generational poverty and trauma, receives an invitation to a horror-themed reality show competition with a massive grand prize, the offer seems too good to be true. Participants have been invited by The Cascade, a world-renown mountain resort destination, to its sister the infamous Murderkill Manor. The derelict mansion boasts a sordid history of scandal, murder, and occult activity. Whether it is from desperation or curiosity, one hundred and forty-one down on their luck participants choose to enter the Halloween Night of Horrors.
Only one shall emerge alive.
Pete and his friends soon learn the horrors are all too real, from the savagery of their hosts to the “attractions” boasted by the operation, appalling nightmares from the darkest corner of the imagination. While the participants try to survive each of the uniquely themed horror events, subterfuge is at hand. Someone looks to destroy The Cascade from the inside, all while it hosts the rich and famous for its annual viewing party, complete with lavish accompaniments and prop bets on slaughter. As Pete and his friends near the end of the night, the entire operation threatens to unravel, the mystery at the center of the manor is exposed, and its demonic attractions are set to escape into the world.
Everyone must struggle to survive, but at what cost?
