My Infernal Deal is part of a bigger universe – just a little taste of what this setting is and what strange creatures you can find there.
We are in hell.
So the main character is already gone and you don't need to worry about him and his fate - he can't be deader than he is, right? Hell isn't so different from life same bosses, bills to pay and so on. But our hero has a dream, even in the afterlife!
The problem the only way he can achieve said dream is by selling his soul to a powerful Monarch and becoming one of his servants. Is it really a good idea? Nope. It will be worth it? Probably not. Will he be able to avoid falling for his new master? Also no.
MID is a M/M monster romance with horror, humor, BDSM, domineering monsters and artists
4.25⭐ for this little trip to Hell and back! Noel has died (bummer) and landed in hell. Not too much is different from life on Earth, really. There's still jobs and bills and roommates that bail when your dream isn't quite dreaming the way you'd hoped. Noel is all about out of ideas when he discovers an app that pairs demons with Monarchs in a binding contract. Noel wants to be a vassal to fund his dream of being a photographer and Vaez is just the Monarch to see the potential in that. From one sassy brat to another, Noel was such a fun guy. I loved his sass and his defiance and ultimately his release. It was perfect. Vaez is the perfect Devil Daddy to tame him and their pairing was really great. I'm super excited to see where this goes!
Wow! This story is epic. Such a twist on life in Hell. Noel’s journey through tough decisions and figuring out himself is so raw and beautiful. A beautifully written and easy to follow tale. And the cliffhanger!?! What?!? I cannot wait to see where this goes!
My Infernal Deal is an introduction to the world of Hell. Noel is a daily new devil trying to make ends meet by doing what he loves- which doesn’t pay the bills. In his desperation, he wants to make a deal with a (more horrifying and powerful) devil. Vaez is just the devil, or Monarch, to make that happen. We get a short glimpse of what Noel’s life would be like selling his soul to be the Monarch’s vessel.
My Infernal Deal is a cute, quick and easy read with a hint of spice. I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and Noels internal monologue mixed with Vaez seeming to guess what he’s saying to himself. It does feel like it ends on a cliffhanger- as in the story must go on so we can learn more! I would love to see more from these characters and to build on the glimpses we get into their lives. There were a few plot points (like why is Viv so angry?!) that made me want more. I can’t wait to see what more the author has in store.
This was such a great little read. I enjoyed the different story line from most of what is out there. There wasn't a ton of spice, but I was good with that.
It was a really interesting take on demons and hell! I would absolutely hate if the afterlife was the same as the living.
The writing and story were good! It definitely ended too quickly, I would have liked to see more of the couple and how they progressed in their relationship with one another.
My Infernal Deal takes place in Hell, with our main character, Noel. Hell is not much different from uptop, with rent, businesses, roommates, and paycheques not always covering the bills.
Despite being dead, Noel still has a dream; however, he is left with his only option to chase it, in which he sells his soul to a powerful Monarch to become his servant. We meet the Monarch and get a small glimpse into the life that awaits Noel once he signs the contract; however, the story ends very quickly.
Just as we start getting into details, the story feels like it ends on the climax of the plot, and I wish we could have seen more about what awaits Noel. There is a bit of detail lacking throughout the story, and some descriptions could have been expanded on. I did enjoy the premise of the story, and I look forward to what the author has in store for this series.
Thank you to the author for this free ARC. All opinions are my own!
4.5 stars! I wasn't so sure about it when I started reading, but I ended up really enjoying this! It could use some slightly better editing for wrong tenses of words but overall, an enjoyable slightly smutty read.
