the dad went to pursue his friend and left his family behind.. even paid for his friend's debt while the family is struggling wtf he doesn't deserve to get accepted back😐
I couldn't read because of homework and this is all I was thinking about. I have three more volumes to go and I am going to be done this series! It's crazy at how fast these books go by, manga is awesome. You get attached to a bunch of characters and all of a sudden you are finished everything and you need to move on. I don't know how to recover from this series after I finish, it's just so good!
How far do you want me to suppress myself so that you'll be satisfied?
This series is about a girl named Misaki who is the school president of Seika High. She secretly works as a maid in a cafe. It was a secret until Usui, one of the most popular guys from her school found out. Ever since he found out about this secret, he hasn't left Misaki's side. Misaki is left confused with her feelings. Both of these two go through crazy events and learn to accept others.
I loved how we see more of Suzuna, Misaki's little sister. It's interesting because we see who she might end up with and I ship it so much! I am so happy for her and I love how Misaki accepts it right from the start. Yukimaru is hilarious, I am happy for Sakura. Kuuga isn't as bad as I though he was. Usui is awesome as always, he is so funny, I love his character so much. (Too bad he isn't real) Misaki is so strong, she inspires me so much, there are so many things that I could relate to when it comes to her character.
I loved seeing the character development, it continues to amaze me. So much has happened and the two characters who were confused, understand themselves. When Misaki talks about how she felt about guys before she met Usui, I remember how much her character grew. It's simply amazing to see the characters move from one spot to another. Although they haven't reached self-actualization, they are one step closer every day.
Usui and Misaki's relationship is so cute! I love them both and they are both my heros. Usui is still mysterious, but he is willing to answer questions if Misaki asks so I am super happy about that. Their communication is awesome, I was so scared of what will happen next since it is different now. But Usui and Misaki make anything work out. I love how different they both are, they play games and both of them are so competitive, I just love it!
I highly recommend this to those who haven't read any manga and want to read something entertaining. If you have watched the anime and want more of the characters, definitely read this! If you already read manga and want something else to read, I highly recommend this! I'll fit in some more reading after I finish my homework!
Not at all what I was expecting for this volume considering the build up in the last one XD It seems to have gone in a slightly different direction...
Still, in this one we got to learn a bit more about Misaki and her family, and have some more of her sister in it! (And I'm really hoping that Suzuna's crush pans out because they would be cute together ;D)
Chapter notes below for reference: (spoiler heavy)
It starts with Usui being uncooperative with his “new friends.” So they decide to go to the Maid Café since they know that is the place he cares about. They try and trip Misaki up, but instead end up playing a heated game of Karuta and losing to Misa and Usui.
Then, on Usui’s 18th birthday, his new school holds a huge event for him. Misa went to surprise him and happened to see his “friends” taking him away, so she followed and then sneaked into the event posing as a butler with Vice President Maki’s help. He leaves early to go spend the evening with Misa, and she is surprised he left, and that he knew she was there the whole time. She gives him a photo album for his birthday, and he says he will treasure it forever.
Suzuna is still bringing Hinata treats, and it seems more and more like she likes him. Then two more people show up trying to befriend Usui, and the guy starts chasing Suzuna around. Everyone thinks he’s a pervert, but really, he just wants to do her makeup. He gives her a makeover, and of course, she hopes Hinata likes it.
The maid café has a new cook who is older and seems a little weird. When Misa meets him, he is wearing a mask because it is a special event, but Suzuna and Hinata show up that day, and once Suzuna tastes his cooking, she starts to figure it out. He’s their dad. Misa isn’t having any of it, but the café wants to keep him, and hopefully help a reconciliation. We find out their mom lied to them, he wasn’t a deadbeat, he left to help a friend, and the debt was his friend's also. Misa relents a little at the end, saying he can work at the cafe part-time, but she and her family still won’t let him in the house by the end.

Usui, misaki, misaki's little sister, shintani, misaki's mother n the rest of misaki's employee including her manager meet misaki's father.Misaki's mother told her daughter's including shintani about the truth behind their father's absent n everything that happened. While usui with misaki's father, misaki's father told usui about everything too. Usui make misaki feel calm again n be happy. Misaki meet usui's classmate too, the most I love is toma dude who wears a bandana on his head n his headphones too. I'm pretty disappointed on usui for not stopping the pervert dude seriously n save misaki instead. Still I love shintani character n grew on me a bit. Usui birthday 27 April day with misaki - picture book.3 idiots, the delinquent n yukimura Kun - pretty funny story.

While I'm sad about Usui transferring, I'm loving the angst. And we're finally diving into Misaki's past, as well! Her dad is a surprisingly complex character and I can't wait to see where his story goes. Also! Suzuna X Hinata for the win!
But the relationship content is getting so much more heartwarming and I'm at awe at the author's ability to progress it so organically and make every moment worth it. Also, has anyone noticed that Misaki always wears the heart necklace when she goes out with Usui?? I am heart eyes.
P.S. Aratake is a grade-A clown, bless him.

A lot of happening here but it's not really interesting. Start from Usui's grand birthday. Geez. How I wish there will be more of their lovey-dovey scene here... But.. I got none. Smh.
Then, I really didn't expect about the come back of Misaki's father. Don't have that much empathy for him.
Anyway, I usually skip the extra story... I don't know.. it just don't catch my attention...

the miyabioka whatever students are so so annoying I want to punch them all in the face. if shintani and Suzana get together im crashing out and giving up on this series. also, how is Suzana in HIGH SCHOOL ???? I thought she was much younger than Misaki, like at least 4 years?? justice for Suzana, give her more page time [AND LESS OF THE MIYA BIGA SUCKA PEOPLE]
I love the ooey gooey stuff after a couple gets together but for some reason my tolerance is tapering the older I get DHSHSJS but anyways the fluff was actually very enjoyable and we got a glimpse into Misaki’s past a little and I got to see yukimura and he’s such a cute BBY SHSGWH 🥺
