Martin was an ordinary man, living an ordinary and unexciting life. Some might say it was boring. They might even say he was boring. And he was, and Martin was very happy with that. Or he had been ,up until the day everything changed; the morning that Martin woke up to find a strange, beautiful woman in his bed and no idea how she got there. Or at least, he thought she was a woman. It turns out she wasn't a woman at all, and even more intriguing - Martin was the very opposite of boring. Suddenly, he was the most important man in the world.
Because Martin had just found out that he had a Divine destiny. He had been chosen by God to spread the word that God's child was coming back down from Heaven, to walk amongst Mankind once again.
Martin's one job is to tell people about the Second Coming. All he has to do is spread the word. How hard can that be, in this modern, digital age - especially when you have an angel by your side?
Martin reluctantly embraces his destiny, but needs a few favours from his angel to help things along. Soon, he's performing miracles and healing people whilst desperately trying to convince himself that he can go back to his normal life once this is all over. Events soon overtake him and Martin learns just how difficult it is to keep a message about love and hope alive amidst the madness of this modern age of social media. With the world seemingly determine to reject his message and the Second Coming itself, will Martin succeed in his mission to prepare the way for the new Messiah?
