The Alpha's Captive: A Shifter Romance

Rate this book
Carla

Three weeks in a monster's basement, and now my wolf is screaming one impossible word at the man who brings me food.

Mate.

Billy Lennox is the son of the bear holding me captive. He has no idea what we are to each other. And I'll do anything to keep it that way.

Because if his father discovers my secret, senses how my body is about to betray me, he won't just ruin my life.

He'll destroy Billy too.

Billy

Something about the wolf in my father's basement gets under my skin. She's fierce, defiant and hiding something behind those green eyes.

I've looked the other way my whole life. Done things I'm not proud of, but watching my father break her isn't something I can stomach.

Getting her out means betraying everything I've ever known, but after one night trapped alone together, I know I'll burn it all down just to make sure she's safe.

This novella is part of the Shifters of Grey Ridge paranormal romance series and tells the story of bear shifter Billy and how he helps Carla, a wolf shifter from the Grey Ridge pack who get taken while trying to find her wayward sister, to escape from his father's lair.

If you loved the rest of the Grey Ridge series, you'll love this steamy one bed, forced proximity, fated mates romance!

Billy and Carla

The only negative for me was it has felt so long since Carla had been blamed and taken I couldn't remember what had been going on back then. I've read the other Lennox bear shifter books plus the alpha games books.

But these two were so cute. she didn't want to tell him they were mates because bears don't mate for life. He was trying to give her space because she had been kidnapped. They were taking things slowly. Well trying to take things slowly.

I loved having Cooper and Rex, Marcus and Ethan there at the end. Even Sean.

How a novella packs in so much and yet doesn't feel rushed I will never know, because Reece is a freaking writing genius.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and the ending was absolute perfection.

I loved this one!

I’ve lived every second of this one.. not main characters.. but people that deserved a HEA and I’m so glad Reece wrote this little one for the fans. Just a lovely little read.. think Billy might be one of my favourites 🥰

I was going to give this 2 stars but that wouldn’t be fair. It was just ok. It was a short little story. Not much plot.
Insta love because fated mates. I had read the grey ridge series and this is interconnected.

Nice short story about 2 unfinished characters from a previous book. So pleased they had a happy ending.

2.5 stars. So shallow - the story, the connection between the MCs, the action - all of it. There's absolutely no tension.

You will never find me bashing a Reece barden book…ever. I know they’re all similar but it’s my comfort I love them all.
