One moment ruined everything. One child changed it all. One Christmas could bring it back together.
She thought she knew what love looked like—until it shattered at a Grambling State football game. Keira was ready to plan forever with her high school sweetheart—until she saw him with someone else. Humiliated and heartbroken, she made a split-second choice she couldn't take back.
One hazy night. A stranger with a familiar face. And a baby that would become her entire world.
Years later, her daughter falls dangerously ill, and one hospital test flips Keira’s world upside down. The man she tried to forget is Zara’s real father. And now, just days before Christmas, Keira must find him, face the past, and speak a truth that could destroy everything—or finally make them whole.
The Missing Pieces is an unforgettable Christian romance about heartbreak, redemption, and the kind of love that never lets go—even when life tries to tear it apart. Set in Louisiana during Christmas, The Missing Pieces is a deeply moving Christian romance about first love, broken trust, motherhood, and the unexpected grace of second chances.

This was a nice, inspirational book that I did enjoy reading however it did fall short in my opinion in some areas. The book had a lot of inconsistencies like at first Tristan stated Keira was gone when he woke up then it changed to them having an awkward moment where he gave her his number. Tristan was making cookies with Bailey and made reference to having a young baby even them having a baby monitor at the beginning of the book but then the only child talked about was referred to as Elise’s youngest daughter Mia at the end. Zara gave Tristan a card at 87% saying she had a daddy, another mommy, and a little sister then at 95% she stated she has two sisters. The whole timeline was so unrealistic because Keira went to Tristan and Elise’s house days before Christmas and realistically, there’s no way for Zara to have surgery and be released from the hospital so soon. Good story concept but not well written execution in my opinion. There are other inconsistencies but those are the main ones that grated my nerves.
Keira found herself broken hearted in more ways than one. She was determined to not let her brokenness affect her but then the test came years later. She used all the skills she had to get the help she needed from the person she had disregarded out of shame. With God’s grace her family was doubled in unbelievable ways. God had surely used what had seemed could destroy to wield a stronger peace to pass all understanding.
Kiera needed redemption and she found it She needed to forgive herself and get pass the shame Oftentimes God will allow the unforeseen to happen in our lives to bring us to the place where healing resides and grace and mercy Keira was shown a level of grace and mercy that most people never receive Danyelle as always brings us relatable characters and life lessons God never leaves us alone Great job Danyelle I appreciate all your books and the lessons within
I rarely read Christian novels. However there was something about this one that pushed me to read. I am so glad I did. This was about mistakes made in the past. The burdens carried because of mistakes and the resolution to shine the light and allowing you to live the life God had for you.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was refreshing to read a Christian book that was relatable, not filled with messy drama and not corny. I can’t wait to read the next one. I also can’t wait to recommend it to a friend.
Amazing read! How one mother tried to forget the painful hurts she encountered but later forced to reckon with the truth. The truth was freeing for all parties. The integrity of the characters was heartwarming and filled with compassion, empathy, respect, and love. Not a single swear word-just a good clean story that tugs on your heartstrings.
