All my life, my dad and I lived as outcasts in Starlight City. We dodged the council’s oppressive laws. But when a sudden accident takes his life, I’m left alone, undocumented, and ultimately screwed.
With my heat coming and no drugs to help me through it, desperation drives me into the hands of the Unholy Trinity. Dante, Knight, and Reaper are three deadly alphas ruling the city’s criminal underworld, and they offer me temporary protection—but only if I follow their
1. Sing in their club
2. Obey them without question
And, most importantly…
3. Don’t sleep with any of them, no matter what our primal urges say.
Easier said than done.
They might call me Angel, but these dark gods are determined to corrupt me.
And now, with an old enemy and the council after me, I don’t have much of a choice.
To save myself, I’m going to have to let myself fall.
Fallen Omega is a contemporary omegaverse standalone with dark themes and multiple love interests.
This is a Dark Omegaverse, so make sure to check the TW before reading. Also not that we are not Dark Romance readers so for us this was dark😳, but may actually be on the lighter side of dark for seasoned Dark Romance readers.
We listened to the audiobook and highly suggest this format. The narrators (Jessica Threet, JD Tanner, and Dameon Knight) did an excellent job with their characters. Jessica Threet plays Lizette really well the FMC who is an Omega outcast or so we think.
Lizette, also knows as Angel by her Alpha’s, thought she was outcasted being raised by her outcast father who may have hidden a few secrets about his past and her upbringing.
Lizette finds herself starting her heat and needing blockers and suppressant, but being the seedier part of town gets her caught up with the cops and being matched to an Alpha being sent to her by the council, which shouldn’t have even been a thing since she was never registered.
The three alphas, Dante, Reaper, and Knight are voiced by JD Tanner and Dameon Knight. One of them gives Ghostface vibes ( whoever voices Knight) it was the highlight of the story. These three alphas form the Unholy Trinity which is a gang that runs the seedy underworld.
There is a ver compelling story here. Lizette is avoiding the council summons and somehow finds herself at the center of the Unhly Trinity. Marked by Knight she waits out the bite mark by working at their club. Her presents though has created a disturbance with them and the council and the Unholt Trinity goes on a quest to figure out why Lizette is important.
There is some fighting with deaths occurring and it’s kind of bloody. There is of course lots of 🍆, but also felt dubious to us which may be part of the dark romance theme.
There is a twist and a reveal at the end that did make this even more interesting. In this reveal Dante, who was the most resistant Alpha to Lizette finally comes around.
As far as the Alphas go Dante is the most aggressive and at first I hated him and never wanted him to touch the Omega. Knight is the most gentle and surprisingly Repear is also somewhat gentle. There seems to be more consent with Knight than of course Dante.
If you’re into OV and wanted a Dark Romance this would be great for you.
If you’re like us and new to dark romance this was actually not that aggressive. There was one part at the beginning where w though Lizette was going to experience intercourse violence, but she’s saved by Knight. That was the only time we felt like maybe this story wasn’t for us.
One last thing. I know I said we hated Dante and by the end of the story we still felt like his character should’ve grown and learned more. Had some sort of development and he sort of does especially in the epilogue, but he’s still not a likable characters. I think this is great writing because he stays somewhat morally gray, if that’s what it could be called. Like, his heart opens a little, but like he’s still unable to relinquish control.
We thought that was worth kiting because most OV’s and why choose stories end with HEA in a fluffy sort of way and this was no way fluffy at all.
