Scandalous

Rate this book
I’m an NFL player, and single dad. She’s my son’s free-spirited nanny… entirely too attractive for her own good.

But she’s just caught me mid-shower, and I have absolutely no desire for her to walk out.

What I needed was simple—a nanny who’s responsible, organised, and knows how to stay out of my way. But instead, I got Flo McKenna, a long-legged, sharp-tongued, matcha-loving firecracker, who finds far too much entertainment in wriggling her way under my skin.

She’s too vivacious for me. Too untamed. Too young. And way too damn tempting.

She’s only here for the summer until we can find a permanent replacement. But with each passing day, I can feel my hard outer shell cracking, because not only does she distract me from the chaos created by the media and lights up my son’s world, but I’m pretty sure I hate the idea of letting her go.

I don’t fall in love. I’m not built for it, but when it comes to Flo McKenna, I’m playing a losing game.

#Review: *Scandalous* - Lottie Moore - ARC [18+]
4.7/5✨
3/5🌶️

Flo didn't plan on becoming a nanny to a grumpy footballer's child. When Flo tried to return a toy to Evan's kid, she ended up playing the role of the nanny for several hours. Nothing has prepared them for this to become something more permanent, neither for those unspoken feelings that ignited inside their hearts. It supposed to be something temporary but what happens when the bound between those three was stronger than they imagined?

I was hooked by this story even from the start! It was so much fun and I really liked the combination of all those fun things and the emotional side of it. It was suuuper sweet to see those moments between Flo and little Leo, which always brought a smile to my face😊. They were incredibly cute and I enjoyed so, so much that the story was focused on their interaction. Of course that there were also included some pretty steamy scenes between our nanny and our football player.🤭 And they couldn't keep their hands for themselves at all!! It was so funny to see Evan squirming, trying his best to ignore the attraction he felt for the beautiful Flo.

This was definitely a super fun read, giggling almost all the time! I adored these characters and their super cute story.

Thank you so, so much Lottie and team for accepting me for this e-ARC!🥰 I was super elated when I finally saw that approval email!!🫠

4.5⭐ I was lucky enough to get sent a review ARC of the second book in The Missarali Storks Series after loving the first book "Dangerous" at the start of the year! I was obsessed with the characters Scandalous follows throughout the whole of the first book so when I heard they were getting their own book I knew I was just going to LOVE it. Single dad/nanny? Cute toddler? YES please.
Mr Evan "Does this look professional right now?" West!!! I'm obsessed. The yearning this man went through in his head was delightful. I'm a sucker for a broody grumpy MMC who is soft for the ones he loves aka baby Leo and Flo. His love language is most definitely acts of service - the laundry detergent, the matcha, the CABIN😭 oh this man is so sweet and I'm so glad he found his family after a rocky start❤️
Flo is my perfect FMC - her attitude, sarcasm, wittiness! I loved it all. She is very much an independent woman who never asks for help which I relate to and she would fight to the bat for the ones she loves (park scene with Leo and Evan🥹). My favourite quote in the book describes Flo's character traits which resonate with myself and I highlighted and reread it multiple times - "Wild-hearted. Untamed. Fierce and uncontainable. But there's a softer side to all of that, where she's compassionate and gentle. Full of empathy." 🩷
What beautiful characters Lottie has created with this masterpiece!
The tropes in this book were top notch - taking care of her illness (diabetes), kiss in the rain, helping her through anxiety, Mr "TALKS HER THROUGH IT" (my personal fave thing about Evan West🌶️🤩), found family, work place romance, age gap, forced proximity (live in nanny). I can't fault this book at all. Such a fun and cute read, it had me kicking my feet!🥰 I can't wait for Poppy and Bennett's book next🫶🏻

Looking for…
👶 Single dad x Nanny
💕 Enemies to Lovers
🔥 Slow Burn
☀️ Grumpy x Sunshine
🏠 Forced proximity
🏈 Sports romance

Then you have absolutely found the book for you with Lottie Moore’s upcoming book
Scandalous.

Evan and Flo’s story was such an enjoyable read.
The sass, the yearning and the connection.
Everything about their dynamic was incredible.
Not only did I get to watch their relationship mature, but seeing how that growth intertwined with little Leo in the mix created such a beautiful, tender balance.

Evan West… the man you are.
I loved watching his walls slowly lower for Flo and seeing him trust her wholeheartedly with his son. I always relish reading about a character’s personal journey outside the relationship forming, and Evan’s character gave me just that.

But it’s not just Evan, it’s Flo too.
She learns what truly makes her happy and where she wants to go in life, and she’s now building that future alongside Evan and Leo.

I feel Leo needs a little moment.
When I tell you he’s the sweetest boy ever and my heart is currently breaking for him even though I know it’s fictional😭 This is what Lottie’s writing does to me, it brings the world to life so vividly that you feel like you know these characters and were genuinely apart of their story.

Now a quick warning…
this was definitely a slow burn 🔥😩
But when I tell you, it’s SO worth it!!!

All it took was one look at the tropes for this book and I was sold!! Scandalous was such a great read, I devoured it in a day and a half! Evan West, tight end for the Missarali Storks and grump extraordinaire, is fully convinced that he will never find a reliable nanny for his son Leo … until he reluctantly agrees to hire Flo McKenna, the brightest ray of sunshine and sass who’s determined to find her purpose in life.

Flo is such a relatable character and so easy to fall in love with - a girl’s girl through and through with a big heart and so much love for the people around her. Watching her learn that it’s okay to be vulnerable and accept help from the people around her when she needs it (namely, a hot broody single dad 👀) was so heartwarming. And when it comes to our MMC, seeing Evan’s walls start to crumble and let someone in - even slowly - is really special. I love when a grump starts to soften up. 🥹 And of course, little Leo steals the show with the sweetest personality!

This was my first Lottie Moore read and DEFINITELY not my last! The banter was hilarious, the spice was 🥵🥵🥵, and the found family vibes were immaculate. I highly recommend this book!! 🏈

Lottie - thank you so much for this ARC!!! 🥰

This is the cutest single dad x nanny romance ever!! I don’t think I’ve highlighted so many quotes in a book before, the way every single chapter had something cute or funny or romantic to highlight is amazing. This is definitely an amazing light read for people like need light hearted books after finishing a heavier novel.

Evan is a grumpy football player who needs a nanny for his 3 year old son but is very picky about who he wants to hire. In coming Flo, the energetic go getter who has never nannied before but has an immediate connection to Leo. With all their witty banter you knew it wouldn’t take long for the yearning to show up. I love how much Flo can push Evans buttons and yet Evan finds it more attractive than anything!

And a little shout out to Donkey, because Leo’s love for that stuffed toy is beyond my imagination. I love how it’s never dropped, while most would forget about mentioning Donkey again Lottie Moore makes sure that we never forget the love between a kid and his favourite stuffy🥹

And let me just say… I will never look at a bench the same🥵! The spicy scenes were amazingly told, Lottie Moore does a great job describing without it sounding too cringy.

I can’t wait to see what she will bring to the table with Bennett and Poppy!!

Wow I absolutely adored this book!! I think I felt every emotion known to man throughout it. I teared up, laughed, felt angry, I had so many goosebump moments and I simply didn’t want it to end!!

Lottie’s writing is stunning, I loved this little world she’s built with her words!

I adored her relationship with Leo and how protective she was of not just him but his wonderful dad too. I think Single Dad is my favourite trope and this has just finalised that. I loved their friends and the found family kind of vibe that you get with football romances. (It feels wrong calling it football because football for me is what the Americans call soccer)

“She was hired to make things easier for Leo and me, and somehow, she's making things a whole lot harder.”

I love a single dad and nanny trope, even better when it’s a sports romance 😍 I really enjoyed this book!

Evan is a single dad and NFL player, he would do anything for his son. He needs a nanny for Leo, he keeps firing each one though. Flo is given the task of returning Leo’s stuffed animal, a misunderstanding leading to her watching after Leo. Flo and Leo quickly have a bond, which then turns to Evan asking for her help. With an attraction both of them can’t deny, can they keep things professional?

I can’t help but love a grumpy single dad, it gets me every time. Evan was such a good dad, doing everything he could to protect little Leo. Flo was the sunshine both Evan and Leo needed, she fit in so seamlessly. The relationship between Flo and Leo was so sweet, Flo made sure Leo felt cared for and loved. Flo also brought out the softer side of Evan, making him realize it was okay to let someone in. These three were just so cute together 🥹 I can’t wait for book three!

A big thank you to Lottie Moore for the ARC 💚

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Addictive!

I knew I was going to love Evan when he appeared in Dangerous and Evan didn't disappoint 🥰

Scandalous by Lottie Moore is an irresistible blend of passion, tension, and beautifully crafted drama. From the very first chapter, Moore pulls you into a world where secrets simmer beneath the surface and every character feels vividly alive. The chemistry between the leads is electric with equal parts tender and explosive and the chemistry kept me turning pages late into the night.

Moore’s writing strikes the perfect balance between emotional depth and sheer entertainment. Each scene is so immersive that it feels like you’re right there in the middle of the scandal, heart racing, desperate to know what happens next. By the end, I was wishing for just one more chapter.

If you love romance with a sharp edge, compelling characters, and a plot that keeps you hooked, Scandalous is an absolute must-read. Lottie Moore delivers a story that’s sexy, smart, and impossible to put down.

I am a sucker for Single dad x Nanny books, so I knew this was right up my alley and boy did it not disappoint!! The three of them were so incredibly cute together, I am unwell. Not only did we get the absolute cutest little family ever, but both Flo and Evan had great character development. They were both a little lost in their own way, but throughout the book we saw Flo finding herself and Evan slowly opening up and that was just absolutely beautiful and so special. Oh and the way Flo helped him see that he was an incredible father... bye I'm gonna cry. The way that their character growth helped create their little family was so incredibly endearing... Leo is quite literally the sweetest boy ever and I can just cry that he ever doubted himself. That boy deserves the world and I love how Evan and Flo give him that.
I cannot wait for book 3 (currently foaming at the mouth!!!)

Thank you so much to Lottie for this ARC! This single dad sports romance was right up my alley and gave me exactly what I was looking for.

🏈 Evan is a single dad finishing up his last year of football, while juggling nanny after nanny for his little boy, Leo. Enter Flo, a free-spirited younger woman searching for a job. Evan hires her reluctantly, but Leo is instantly smitten…and it doesn’t take long for Evan to fall right along with him. The only catch? Flo is leaving at the end of summer, which makes their time together all the more bittersweet.

💭 Single dad + sports romance? Yes please, my absolute favorite combo. I loved the dual POV and how Leo was such a heartwarming part of the story. While I wished the backstories went a little deeper, this book still delivered exactly what I needed: a cozy evening with a spicy romance. I’ll definitely be picking up the first book in the series - and I’m already curious about book three!

This book was perfecttt💗I was grinning, giggling, and kicking my feet the entire time because of Evan and Flo🤭

Evan was a grumpy NFL player and a single dad to the sweetest kid ever, Leo. He didn’t trust people easily and found comfort in routines. Until Flo walked into his life. Flo made Evan laugh again, helped him find happiness, and most importantly, reminded him that he was more than just a father.

Meanwhile Flo was wild and free spirited. Even though she had her own worries and struggles, she was always ready for new adventures. Flo and Evan balanced each other perfectly. If soulmates exist, they were definitely soulmates❤️‍🩹🥹

This was a slowww burn, and ohhh, I loved every second of it🫠❤️The tension between Flo and Evan, them wanting each other so badly while constantly telling themselves it was a bad idea…I ate up every second of it🤌🏼

Honestly, there wasn’t a single thing in this book that bothered me. This was pure single dad x nanny romance perfection😌❤️

I really loved this book! This is my first book by Lottie and a great impression into her writing. I couldn’t put the book down, it had me hooked from the first few pages.

The main characters, Flo and Evan, had such great chemistry and it didn’t see forced. The supporting characters were also written in well and were just awkwardly written into scenes/scenarios. The spicy scenes flowed with the plot, it was definitely a slow burn but so worth it!

I’m really impressed with Lottie’s writing! The story flowed, dialogue was great and so was the pace of the story.

I definitely need to go and read the first book in the Missarali Storks series! This books should be added to your TBR!

UGHHH LOTTIEEE…GIRLLL…I NEED MORE OF FLO & EVAN & LEO 😩 ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK AND I DID’NT WANT IT TO END!!!! if you are a fan of a grumpy single dad football player who does everything in his power to not fall for his kids nanny but ultimately fails, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK

evan has fired every last nanny and did not want to hire another one but absolutely had to, then enters flo. and the way she becomes leo’s nanny was crazy. but she was the perfect person to watch leo, the way he attached to her and the way they connected was a freaking adorable!!! there was sooo much tension between flo & evan and when the tension finally snapped…wooo hot dang the heat between the was oh so good. also when evan decided to give into his true feelings for flo, that man was all swoonnn 😍

loving this series and i can’t wait for this series to continue. thank you so much lottie for this arc, so excited for what you have for us next 🫶🏽

I always like a single dad x nanny romance, and I really like the fresh take on this trope in Scandalous. I love the way Flo becomes a nanny in an unexpected and accidental way. The way she and Evan clash at first and their attempt to resist their undeniable physical attraction glued me to the page. Leo is the sweetest boy, and his instant and strong connection with Flo is the cutest thing ever. I also love that Flo and Evan are the embodiment of a broody x sunshine couple. The way she brightens him and makes him feel alive, playful, and spontaneous is priceless. The way he turns into a softie just for her and desires nothing more than to take care of her is precious. And, finally, the steamy moments between them are delicious!

This book was so cute a such a great addition to the series! I will love a single dad romance every single time! It was so beautiful seeing flo and evan open up to each other. Evan is known to be a grump and he is focused on being the best father he can be for his son Leo. Flo is such a bright and happy character who is just trying to find where she belongs. The slowburn and tension was done perfectly. But seen Flo’s relationship with Leo grow was amazing. They were all meant to find each other and seeing them become a family was so heartwarming!

Also seeing the other characters and the found family is so sweet. I’m so excited for the next book in the series and to see how Bennett and poppy’s story unfolds!

I am extremely thankful to Lottie Moore for gifting me this ARC read, the story, characters and writing is perfection.

This is the single dad x nappy, grumpy x sunshine that everyone needs in their life. Did I mention said single dad is an NFL player.. you can thank Lottie Moore for that perfection.

I need to find me a grumpy Evan West..

Single dad Evan West will do anything for his little boy Leo, even if that includes firing every nappy after 1 day.. until Flo mistakingly comes along and changes his opinions and way of life.

The relationship growth between Evan and Flo (and little Leo) is full of banter, yearning and a lot of challenges.

I couldn’t get enough of this book and I am sooo excited for book 3 already (they might end up being my favourite couple)

Evan and Flo I loved. You could feel their chemistry from the beginning even thought they was slight enemies to lovers , the attraction clear . both characters you can easily relate to. One being a single parent, who just wants the best for his son and the other who’s mid 20s, who hasn’t figured out her life and feels like she’s behind!! ( I definitely related to both)

Flo, Evan and Leo made the cutest family from the get go. Love seeing them both find themselves and also break down their walls and finally let each other in. The yearning, the sass and their whole dynamic made me fall in love with them and this book.

This book had me in fits of laughter on literally every other page, I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline so much!

Evan is definitely my new book boyfriend, he’s the biggest grump ever with the sweetest heart and he had me weak at the knees, Flo is one very lucky woman 😏

Aside from all the fun and laughter there were some serious plot points that that involved mental heath and illnesses that I thought were touched upon so amazingly. I even teared up a few times due to the sensitivity of the characters. Especially little Leo, he’s the sweetest kid ever!

I honestly cannot wait to read more in the Missarali Storks series! If you’re a sucker for a great sports romance then you definitely should add this to your TBR.

4.5 ⭐️ | I always eat up a single dad x nanny romance and with Scandalous it was no difference. I really enjoyed it from start to finish.

Flo and Evan had such a good dynamic and little Leo made everything even better. I loved how Flo’s bright personality pushed Evan’s buttons at first, but eventually his walls started to break down and they brought out the absolute best in each other. Both their character development was beautifully portrayed and the way they cared about little Leo so deeply was absolutely adorable. They are perfect as a family. Lottie’s writing Is beautiful and the slow burn was 100% worth the wait.

Classic rich guy X Nanny trope and I eat it up EVERY TIME.
Loved the way this story progressed and the background of the two main characters. It wasn’t just a simple love straight away and the tension built nicely throughout. No real third act breakup and no miscommunication which was so refreshing! I hate when they just don’t communicate and there was none of that!
And the spice was spicing 😮‍💨🌶️

📕BOOK REVIEW📕

This is book 2 in the series, and it can be read as a standalone.

I read this book in about half a day 🤣 once I started, I was hooked. Evan and Flo were honestly so blooming perfect, I’m still not over them. Evan is a single dad, a NFL player, who literally trusts no one with his son Leo. That is, until Flo signs up the job after quitting her role in celebrity PR. Flo is everything Evan doesn’t want; she’s gorgeous, great with Leo, funny and tempting.

Evan was the ultimate Mr Grumps, and I needed that 🤣🤣 his character worked so well against the literal ray of sunshine. His love for Leo will make you swoon. Gah. You honestly cannot blame him for not wanting anyone to get too close, but I loved watching him slowly accept Flo into their lives. This was a slow burn, and I was teased from the get go. But it’s worth the wait. I blooming loved the tension.

Flo was honestly just so cute and I wish she were my friend in real life 😍 because she’s just so caring, considerate, funny and I loved her relationship with Leo ☺️

I’m ready for book 3 now 🤣
