Sea Tied

Rate this book
Gwendolyn and Tiberius’s fates were left precariously unknown, and the hope to unite the realms and stave off death rested in their hands.

Following the events of ‘Moonborn’, a new ruler has taken the throne, but Thaddeus Krybalt has not so easily relinquished his army of death. It lingers still in the deep world, throughout Westmorrow, and in many of their own souls.

The Foretelling has been rewritten, clinging to its promise that one must die.

With the stakes so high, Mira finds the Hydra’s branding to be a mercy for the rest of them, and embarks on a treacherous journey to the Sea of Monterra in the hope of satisfying death’s debt with her own life.

Complicated by love and meddling in the Foretelling, giving up her human form may not be as simple as she originally believed, and Faolan will do whatever he must to save her life.

Introducing more beasts and further lore, alongside an unlikely new companion, ‘Sea Tied’ welcomes you back to Westmorrow with even more twists, gruesome fights, and seductive love.
And in the midst of it all, can this love alone prevail over death?
Or is fate truly stronger than free will?

I was a beta for this book.

Sea Tied is the second book in The Westmorrow Saga, and it’s now my favorite.

It follows the same set of characters (Gwendolyn, Tiberius, Faolan, and Mira) right where Moonborn left off. As they navigate new roles and past traumas, their relationships are put to the ultimate test.

Sea Tied pulls you in from the very first sentence, and it doesn’t slow down at all! There is so much mystery and anticipation in every chapter, and it is very hard not to binge read in one sitting. The characters go through so many emotional moments especially right from the start, and I had to keep a box of tissues nearby since I couldn’t guess where the story would end.

This novel had me gritting my teeth and cheering and crying and laughing, but what really took my breath away was when my jaw hit the floor with the plot twist(s). No matter how many times I attempted to guess where the story would go, it went in a completely unexpected direction.

My favorite moment in Sea Tied was the most vivid, exquisitely written, yet deeply emotional scene at the Sea of Monterra. The way that moment was described was hauntingly beautiful, and it stayed with me … and probably always will.

Sarah Moore really knows how to create deeply meaningful moments as well as a bewitching story enriched with curses, fantasy creatures, and (of course) lycanthropy. The novels in The Westmorrow Saga truly get better and better as the story progresses.

I have one word to describe Sea Tied: unforgettable.

I’m highly anticipating the next novel in this series.

I received this book as a beta copy and am providing a review as a result.

Where do I even begin? Sea Tied still has me reeling days after finishing. While Moonborn (the first instalment of the series) left with a cliff hanger, this entire book was a giant catastrophic dynamic that was beautifully written, unique, and provided incredible character development on so many angles.

We continue to follow Gwendolyn on her adventures as a new lyncathrope and how the dynamics of her life have changed now that Tiberius is king. Gwen's first shift, her relationship with fellow characters, and the trials she face continue to provide a unique experience that leave your jaw hanging and your eyes wanting more.

I loved this book. I immediately messaged Sarah after finishing to express my shock and adoration! The foreshadowing is subtle but impactful, the symbolism is perfectly done, and watching characters do a complete shift into more assertive, empathetic beings just provided the chef's kiss. Each character is so individual from.the next and watching Faolin, Mira, Niamh, Gwen, and Tiberius develop sent me on an absolute trip. The best part was watching how their dynamics changed with each other on every hardship they faced, some moments incredibly touching and others absolutely shocking.

While this book is third person and multi-perspective, Sarah does a fantastic job of integrating the story through each character's eyes. The dialogues were different feom character to character, with Gwen and Tiberius' viewpoints developing a strong edge after being catalysed into difficult new roles.

There is no gentle introduction into Sea Tied, the pace is fast and dynamic and there is little time to slow down and pace yourself. This story is packed with wicked adventure, emotional turmoil, and will leave you sitting and wondering how you can enjoy being whipped through this distinctive story. If you love romantasy and stunning writing, you absolutely need to read this book.

I beta'd this. and it was A MAZ ING ...

WHERE do I even start ?? it is emotional, you get drawn in so quickly. Just like moonborn you are drawn in right from the first page !

Sarah does an amazing job of not just character building and giving you characters you can relate/attach yourself too, but she also does incredible world building. Everything is descripted amazingly! You really get the feeling that you're there, and one of the characters. It does an incredible service when books are like this, as me personally as a reader I love being able to visualise a scene in my head.

The story flows amazingly from book 1 (moonborn) and the amount of lore is incredible. The relationships of the main characters Faeolin, Gwendolyn, Mira & Tiberus - although all entwined in their own family/found family ties, carry their own individual pains, sorrows and challenge, and Sarah depicts it perfectly across the pages of the book - intriguingly entwined all issues together in a way to they are not fighting them alone!

Overall, the story, writing, imaginary & Flow of the book is a magical blend of found family, complications, magic, myth, lore, love, strength and pain.

if you love fantasy, you will love not just this book. But the whole series ❤️

This was an Arc read.
SEA TIED is an emotional, character-driven fantasy that pulls you in from the first page. The worldbuilding is rich and atmospheric, with curses, sea magic, and ancient lore woven seamlessly into the story. Every setting, from the storm-torn coasts to the eerie depths of the sea feels alive.
The characters are the true heart of this book. Faolan, Mira, Gwendolyn, and Tiberius each bring their own pain, strength, and depth to the page. Their relationships are complicated, heartfelt, and beautifully written, making it impossible not to root for them. The way their individual stories intertwine creates a powerful emotional journey.
Overall, SEA TIED delivers a gripping blend of myth, magic, and raw human emotion. The world is vivid, the cast is unforgettable, and the story stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page. Sarah Moore once again shows us that she knows how to bring a story to life. If you love a great fantasy story with in depth lore and unforgettable characters, this book is for you

Sarah Moore has done it again with Sea Tied. Ahh! Where do I even start? The writing is incredible as always. I love how her writing jumps to each character to know their thoughts and actions. The world is captivating. The forests, the castle, and the dark sea. The emotions! I felt them all: sadness, love, hope, heartbreak, laughter, and shock! The plot twists were incredible. Definitely did not see them coming. I loved Faolan and Tiberius’ back and forth (hate/kinda tolerate/love) relationship. ‘I need a seamstress.’ lol And I love Tiberius and Gwendolyn. And Mira and Faolan. And sweet Niamh. Her story brought me to tears most of all. I cried multiple times. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series.

The Prophecy lingers like destiny itself, watching every step taken within the castle and claiming its price in the most unexpected moments.

Gwen begins to understand that love can be far greater than anything she ever imagined—especially when her father shows that true devotion requires choices that reach beyond the small world she once believed they shared.

She realizes, then, that love is not something one can select or arrange in order of preference. It cannot be forced, shaped, or controlled. And those who fail to grasp this eventually face, in subtle or painful ways, the echoes of what they once imposed on others—whether born from pride, fear, or the illusion that the consequences would never reach them.
