Emily Brancaster has built a life that looks perfect from the outside.
A successful London beauty business. Big plans. A future mapped out exactly as she wants it.
So when her husband’s family call for help with their failing pig farm in Yorkshire, Emily is certain she can turn things around.
She’s wrong.
Arriving with glossy confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly discovers that the locals have no intention of listening—and no interest in change. To them, she’s an outsider with no understanding of their way of life.
But Emily didn’t get where she is by backing down.
As tensions rise and the village pushes back, she must decide whether to retreat to the life she knows—or fight for a future no one else believes in.
Because sometimes, proving everyone wrong starts with proving yourself right.
A funny, uplifting story about resilience, community and finding where you truly belong.
There’s something about an Izzy Bromley book that just makes me smile. Outstanding narration by Imogen Church who is fast becoming my favourite narrator. Bloody excellent 👌
I absolutely loved this book. So many grand ideas in one person's head. She is refreshingly optimistic, being able to make sour personalities turn into nicer, kinder folk. Highly recommend and would love a sequel.
A city girl with a very successful beauty salon, gets called away to the country side to her husband's relatives. Their farm is struggling and the uncle broke his leg. Then they begin to plan a "Glamp Site" to rescue the farm.
I loved al the previous books of Izzy Bromley, I loved her feel good stories. It always feels like a big hug after I finished her books.
The Glamp site was enjoyable and you know exactly how everything is going to pan out. It just did not punch the same as her other books. I did not really like the MFC, she was a bit much for me, but she does go through growth as a character. Cute story, in a cute little village, with some funny and stubborn characters.
Light hearted but very human characters that make a real impact on the storyline. Em is a real busybody and I could see bits of me in her look at life and I am sure she will resonate with many readers
I don’t think I have ever read a more irritating MC IN MY LIFETIME!! Awful, disrespectful, holier-than-thou piece of work. I found an awful attitude quote within the first few pages!! Not worth reading for me.
A fun and light-hearted read, set in beautiful Yorkshire, although a pig farm is not generally the sweetest smelling of settings! There is a race against time to save the farm and its inhabitants from going under, with more than a few bumps in the road along the way. Lot's of fun
