Ewing is a basketball legend known as one of the greatest centers of all time and for leading the New York Knicks during the 1990s. Ewing spent over 17 years in the NBA, but he played the majority of his career (over 15 years) with the New York Knicks. Throughout his NBA career, he achieved an impressive list of achievements including being named an eleven-time NBA All-Star. Ewing also led the Knicks to two NBA Finals appearances in 1994 and 1999. He was a part of the Dream Team along with Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson, and helped Team USA win two gold medals in the Olympics.
Ewing spent his final years in the NBA playing with the Seattle SuperSonics and the Orlando Magic before retiring in 2002. But his basketball career did not end there. He coached for several years and worked as an assistant coach from 2002 to 2017 for the Washington Wizards, the Houston Rockets, the Orlando Magic, and the Charlotte Hornets. And from 2017 to 2023, he was also the head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas Men's Basketball Team.
