A dagger. A spear. A warrior's rage. Vengeance wears golden braids.
For three months, Brynja Nyberg has dreamed of one thing: her blade finding the throat of the man who murdered her mother. Now he's circling the Isle of Mull like a predator, and she'll finally have her chance—if it doesn't kill her first.
Hagen Grant, son of the legendary Connor Grant, knows the weight of living up to a hero's name. But when mercenaries attack them on Tiree and cut down his father in battle, Hagen discovers a darker legacy: the burning need for retribution. When he meets Brynja—fierce, broken, beautiful— he never expected the fierce Norsewoman to challenge everything he believed about justice and revenge or to fall in love with her.
When their enemies unite and launch a final assault on Duart Castle, Brynja and Hagen fight side by side, both seeking the blood they've craved. But in the aftermath of battle, they must face a harder truth: revenge may satisfy for a moment, but it's love that must sustain a lifetime.
Can two vengeful hearts choose healing over hatred?

The Wrath of a Scottish Blade Keira Montclair ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Brynja Nyberg has always dreamed of one of her blades finding the throat of the man who murdered her mother. She is out for vengeance and there's no two ways around it. Now since the man she wants is constantly circling the Isle of Mull as a predator would, she just may finally get her chance, if it goes her way and doesn't end up killing her.
Hagen Grant is the son of the legendary Connor Grant, and knows the weight of living up to a hero's name. But when Mercenaries attack them on Tiree and take down Connor Grant in battle, Hagen discovers that he too has a darker burning need for retribution. When Hagen meets Brynja he sees exactly what she is fierce, broken, and so very beautiful, but he never expected the Norsewoman to challenge everything he thought he believed about justice and revenge. Nor did he expect to fall in love with her.
When their enemies unite and launch a final assault on Duart Castle, Brynja and Hagen must learn to trust each other and fight side by side, both seeking the blood they crave. But after the battle when things calm down they must figure out what it is they truly want. Will they just go on seeking revenge for every slight? Or will they choose a love that will last a lifetime and beyond.
Kiera Montclair is on fire. I have read so many books by this wonderful author and they seem to constantly get better and better. Hagen was the perfect gentleman who knew what he wanted and Brynja was the perfect mate for Hagen. She's obviously been hurt in life, but she was still able to overcome that and accept Hagen's love for what it was. I really enjoyed the way Brynja was so taken with the women of the clan. She was so in awe of some of them and that showed a lot for her character. All in all this was a fabulous book and trust me when I say it's well worth the read because you will not be disappointed.
The Wrath of a Scottish Blade by Keira Montclair The Clans of Mull Series Book Six Hagen Grant fears he’s not enough. He is tall and has the look of his grandsire and sire, but his sword arm isn’t as strong. When he saw Brynja for the first time, he knew she’d be the woman for him. She didn’t seem to feel the same way…yet. His mother is Norse, and like him, Brynja is half Norse and half Scottish. Brynja Nyberg has revenge on her heart. It’s what rules her life. Killing the man who killed her mother and her aunt. Now all she has is her cousin, Hildi. And she doesn’t need some heavy-handed man ordering her about. And yet, when Hagen is near, she feels more. This is the last book in this series. I loved meeting everyone on Mull and so many of the Grants from past books. This story is full of surprises, and as always, I find it sad to be leaving them, but I look forward to the next group of Grants and Ramsays. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Hagen is the eldest son of Connor Grant and grandson to the great Alexander Grant. How can he ever measure up with those men in his lineage. Brynja is half Norse half Scottish. She is consumed with vengeance for the death of her mother and aunt and can’t focus on anything else until she kills the men responsible. That is until she meets Hagen. Instant attraction between the two. But Brynja must allow Hagen to help her, something that she is not used to. The tsk is dangerous for more than just the two of them. I loved how the story unfolded and I especially loved all the familiar faces from the Grant and Ramsay family as the story developed. Strong family bonds, bad ass men with heart and compassion, and strong women are always a winner in Keira’s stories.
Oh my goodness this was bittersweet because the series is ending for this generation. This is one of the top series I've read on this whole family from the beginning with Alexander Grant until now. It's a series that will make you forget the errands you need to run.
Story has so much suspense especially the scene with Connor near the end! This series and ones before have a touch of mystic to them, which I personally love.
Interesting main and secondary characters written with a lot of depth. Besides the suspense I've mentioned, it's filled with joy, love, heartwarming scenes, sadness, loss and romance.
The ending is beyond spectacular! I could vividly see the scenes unfolding. You get a feeling for all the characters from the beginning to the end which left me with a warm fuzzy feeling! Like saying goodbye to your favorite people.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, clean with only kisses, romantic, magical and a great set up for the next generation. The author asked a question at the end about a character and I have to say, nope that was a surprise to me!
I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. I received an ARC and all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)
Dynamic Finish of An Epic Series: I can't come up with the correct words to give this story it's due justice. Anytime a story can bring the reader thrilling engaging characters, cataclysmic fear, gut-wrenching battles, child kidnapping, a heartfelt loving romance story all wrapped up all in a few pages in one book is worth more than the 5 stars I am allowed to give it Oh, I can't forget Lia the little Fae angel fairy and the spirits that ended the story and had me shedding tears. Special mention to the author for bravely addressing the hidden crime of child trafficking that even happened during the Middle Ages I highly recommend this wonderful series.
Exciting, enchanting and nostalgic finale in the Clans of Mull series!
In this final book in this series, we get to know handsome Hagen Grant, son of Conner Grant, grandson of the great Alexander Grant, and Brynja Nyberg, daughter of a Norse mother and a Scottish father who deserted she and her mother, and didn't want her because she was female. Hagen is working hard to live up to his father and grandfather's reputations as great sworsdsmen and feels lacking and will never be as good. Brynja is a strong fighter in her own right and full of anger and vengeance as her mother and aunt were raped and murdered. The same men who killed her mother and aunt are back with evil intentions, a plot against the Grants and Brynja.
Along the way, Hagen and Brynja fall in love after a rocky start and the struggles that ensue for both are shocking and challenging. The way the author ended this book and hence the series is enchanting, mystical and, as a fan of this author's whole multiple series of books from the beginning, is epic! And also wets the appetite for the next series to come, and I will be waiting for it with great anticipation. I can honestly highly recommend this book and series!

I have really enjoyed the Clans of Mull series!! It was filled with hot Highlanders and the women they love, greed and atrocious deeds, evil men and the good fighters will best them.
