Loved the ideas and the concept, with a fabulously intense beginning. However, I felt this could have been fleshed out a bit more to build additional suspense, and perhaps more mystery around the lore of the Butcher. A longer book might turn this novella into a really fun and fresh novel or series. Just a thought!
