It didn't help that ze attacked another alien right in front of them, even if that other alien was trying to kill the humans. No matter how much Drilora tried to help the humans, they would never see zer as anything else.
Cecilia was a normal human, but everyone underestimates her, which put her as out of the normal as Drilora was. It was practically a superpower, one that she couldn't control. But with the alien living so close, working as a superhero around the city, Cecilia's father felt it was best for the alien to handle such things. Maybe it could teach her how to use that power. Maybe Cecilia could become a superhero, too. At the very least, he could finally be rid of the girl.
