I really loved the character development of Melanie in this story and watching her growth was beautiful!! Lanie and Scott’s relationship had my full attention and if you know me, you know I love a good high school romance so seeing the “Ice Queen” fall for the new guy was reallyy refreshing and sweet! And just when they start finding their footing everything goes sideways. I'll admit there were moments where I was internally yelling at Melanie to please make better choices. If only Lanie had stood up to her parents a little earlier maybe things would've been different.

Still despite all that, I really enjoyed this book! Emotional and frustrating at times but overall a very satisfying read!

Omg these two stole my heart instantly!! Melanie and Scott are put through it while just trying to be happy together when they are younger. But with the family Melanie grew up in… you can’t just marry whoever you want. Well after everything blows up and Melanie’s parents over step WAYYY too much Melanie and Scott are left heartbroken. Thankfully life had a way of bringing these two back together. The amount of love these two have was just too strong. This one got me emotional at many points for both characters but thankfully I was HUGE smiling by the end. I highly recommend this one! It’s my favorite of the series so far!

So I’ve listened to this audiobook and it’s taken me a little while to review as I’ve been thinking about it! The story is set in 2 timelines, school era where Melanie and Scott first meet… being honest I found this part hard at times, both have challenging up bringings in completely contrasting ways and I found it especially hard as I know it is reality for some 💔
The present day I absolutely loved, emotional at times, again due to their back story but it all came good and Scott, what a book boyfriend he is 😍
I loved the nod to the art world as a designer myself and totally would do what Melanie does #ifykyk
Superbly written by @annpenny.author and narrated brilliantly by @willajaymesnarrator and @seanmastersaudio Highly recommend not only this book but the whole stand alone series 📚

Ok, so this follows Melanie (which just quickly I didn’t think I could ever like from book one however learning about her story I did a complete backflip- YKIYK)
