Taut suspense and tantalizing twists and turns got and kept me on the edge of my chair, as my pulse raced and I read feverishly. Rogue and Keira story is action-packed, intense, emotional and totally consuming.

Keira, known as Onyx, is part of a sanctioned division of highly skilled women trained to appear unassuming—an ability that makes them especially dangerous. During her final mission, however, Keira refuses to carry it out. She realizes that her boss is no longer honorable and that the mission has been manipulated to serve his personal agenda. Unwilling to remain a pawn, she goes on the run.
Rourke, code name Rogue, is assigned to track down Onyx. His superior also warns him that the situation seems suspicious, instructing him not to eliminate his targets but to uncover the truth first. When Rogue discovers that Onyx is actually a woman fleeing from the real threat, he chooses to help her instead. Together, Keira and Rogue form an alliance to take down Onyx and free the women who have been exploited by the organization.
As they work together, their partnership gradually develops into a physical and romantic relationship. Given how much they rely on each other, this progression feels inevitable.
The story itself is fairly predictable, but still an enjoyable read. The suspense is present without being overwhelming, and the pacing keeps things moving quickly. The romance, while central, feels somewhat underdeveloped—though that’s not surprising given the fast pace of the plot. Overall, it’s a solid, easy read for when you want something quick and engaging.

From the first page to the last, the readers will be kept on the edge of their seats as this latest Stealth Operation Specialist, Rourke/Rogue Logan, not only meets his match but will also have to be one step of the very bad guys that want to kill Kiera, an Onyx operative.
While the original assignment was to find and eliminate an assassin , it now becomes an assist to keep her alive and fight back the evil men hiding behind the power of the government.

Once again Elle has written a story that drags you in from the very first page and the action never stops until you turn the last page

This is Rourke (Rogue) and Onyx’s (Keira) journey, and their chemistry is off the charts. Both characters are written as incredibly strong, independent individuals who, despite the circumstances, find a way to make a formidable team.
The plot grabs you from the very first page and doesn't let up. It kicks off with a massive hook: Rogue is actually hired to eliminate Onyx, but once he meets her, he realizes she’s completely innocent. From that moment on, it's a non-stop race for survival.
They are forced to go on the run while being hunted by multiple hitmen, all while trying to uncover the evidence needed to clear her name and take down the people who set her up. If you love a "protector" trope mixed with high-stakes action and a fast-paced plot, you need to read this.
Highly recommended for any fan of romantic suspense!

Wow, what a fantastic read!! Once again Elle James has knocked it out of the park!!
I do love this new spin off series of Brotherhood Protectors. Rogue and Keira are the perfect match for each other. Their bond and chemistry are insane, in the best way.
Rogue is a true alpha male, he brings a calmness with him that you can’t help but allow into your soul and take a deep, cleansing breath.
Keira is a woman with a backbone of steel. She is absolutely amazing. Her strength and determination are awe inspiring.
But because of what she has had to endure during her younger years she needs the stability and calmness that Rogue brings. He has her back at any cost. I’m not surprised she fell hook, line and sinker for the man, heck I was too!!
Watching them work together so seamlessly was beautiful. They are the perfect partners in every aspect of their lives.
The action was exhilarating and kept me on the edge of my seat. The love and respect gar my heart a good workout too.

Rogue by Elle James is an absolute thrill ride from start to finish! Set in the exciting Brotherhood Protectors world, this story grabs you from the very first page and doesn’t let go. The plot is fast-paced, action-packed, and full of heart-pounding twists that keep you turning the pages late into the night.

When Keira decides not to go through with an assignment, she turns into the hunted instead of being the hunter and Rourke aka Rogue, is sent to bring her in. All is not black and white when he finds her, more questions as to who she is and why she is wanted and the more he finds out, the more protective he becomes as the two evade assassins coming for them. Keira doesn’t trust but Rogue breaks down her walls and with him by her side, she may have a chance in bringing down an organization that goes against everything she stands for.
A fast paced read that will have you flipping the pages and cheering these two from start to finish. I loved Keira and everything she has overcome to become a strong woman and how easily Rogue stands by her side through it all. Story flowed with great descriptions and I couldn’t put it down.

Action Packed!
I really enjoyed Kiera and Rogue’s story. Lots of action. There were just a couple of tiny details that, while not really having an impact on the story, still bugged me just a little. The first was the Kindle description of the book. It said Rogue was chasing a serial killer. Never once was Kiera referred to as a serial killer. Again, didn’t impact the actual story, but I prefer a description to match the story I’m about to read. The other detail was Kiera’s hair. Again, no impact, but inconsistencies bug me. There was an early, detailed scene of her bleaching and cutting her hair, then it seemed to be dark and long again a few days later without explanation. I realize these are incredibly minor, but still a bit annoying.

I loved this book. The setting for this book is in Texas, including the Texas hill country and other places. This is Rourke/Rogue and Onyx/Keira’s story. They have great chemistry and are both, strong, independent people and make a great team. This book starts with action, and it keeps up until the end. Rogue was hired to eliminate Onyx but, when he meets her, he realizes that she is innocent. They have to run because several people were hired to kill her and, at the same time, they’re trying to find evidence against the people that set her up. I received an ARC for an honest review and I loved it. There’s lots of action, suspense, mystery, angst, and romance. I recommend this book!

Sometimes trusting your instincts are better than blindly following orders. In Rogue (Stealth Operations Specialists Bk2) by Elle James, our hero does just this. He is tasked with hunting an assassin named Onyx and killing her. But when things just don’t feel right, our hero “Rogue” decides to pursue the truth and work with Onyx to find the real villains. A rollercoaster adventure, complete with governmental intrigue and a budding romance, combine in a slightly predictable but fun-filled story. I enjoyed reading it and had no problem leaving a review.

Rouge will pull you into the suspense and danger. This second book is so good, I enjoyed both Rourke, our operations specialist, and Onyx, a shadow assassin and Rourke's target, fight to complete the mission and find their place together. The fact that the Stealth Operations Specialist series is connected to Hank Patterson and the Brotherhood Protectors means you get to have appearances from some members you are familiar with. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

This book hits close to home with a lot of current events that are still ongoing. This action packed story with a happy ending covers a lot of ground. From military to trafficking to slaves and wrong accusations. This one women and man team fight the bag guys trying to stay alive. A 100% page turner.

I am the lone person out here. The book seemed to drag. After Jade joined Keira and Rogue, I skipped to the last 2 chapters. It appeared that I did not miss anything. Cutting out at least 50 pages would have helped.
I did not see the chemistry between Keira and Rogue. To me, it just wasn't there.

They are both now on a hit list and forced to go on the run.
Action packed all the way through you won't be able to put this book down.

Rogue covers an event that could very well be taken from today’s headlines and Elle James does a fantastic job of bringing the details of these events front and center.

When your job is to take out the threat, you find out that it’s not what it seems. When you find the one that you are looking for, it turns out that she is the one that’s hunted. Can you keep her safe from those wanting her dead? Can you guard your heart at the same time. I recommend this book.

I absolutely loved the story. Rogue is a serious hunter hunting prey that is said to be an assassin that must be taken out. Who is Keira/Onyx, the assassin? A twisted suspense story and a must read. I read an arc of this book and this is my review.
