This follows the twin’s story which is what was missing from book 1- of course couldn’t miss what was going on there and yes, yes there’s a reason she left the wedding. It was a strained love story, and could it happen with daughter of a capo and an enforcer? Can it work and would it be allowed? Love mafia and did not disappoint! Of course there’s a missing resolution, that will be in next book but doesn’t leave with a horrible or cliffhanger as main storyline was resolved. Can’t wait for next!

This man did things to me! His silent obsession that he’s had for her for YEARS and one act of kindness? That shit gets me every time! He’s a player who gives up his ways completely after on single kiss? That’s the kind of obsession and devotion I want from an MMC!
This poor man spent his life thinking he wasn’t enough for anyone to stick around 😭
And she spent her life thinking no one would ever care! I’m so happy these two found each other! 🥹
It’s times like these that I’m thankful that I‘ll rarely DNF a series, because this one was a masterpiece, unlike book 1!
Their love story was so much more believable and packed full of angst and longing, even if they spent less time together than the couple in book 1.
I actually loved both MCs, and Cian was such a huge softy! Seeing the way he felt about her throughout the book made me want to cry 😭😭
And unlike Finn in book 1, Cian was willing and ready to go against her father, no matter the cost! Now that’s a man!
There still needs to be heavy editing in this book, but overall, I was able to look past it because the story was so good!

A ver qué digo... en este libro no vas a encontrar mucha mafia, alguna escena suelta, pero suelta de verdad. Tampoco romance, sólo hay lujuria, en cualquier momento. Ni una gran trama, sólo da vueltas y vueltas sobre la misma historia. Y para mí, ni siquiera queda cerrada. Pero no me preocupa, no sé si algún día lo leeré.

El primer libro me gustó, no fue una obra de arte, pero es mucho más emocionante que este y genera más historia, tiene más cosas, este?? este se sintió tan aburrido en muchas partes, me tuve que obligar a terminarlo, y cuando los protagonistas se dijeron te amo por primera vez me quedé??? pero de que amor me hablan chicos, cuando se enamoraron que no ví, no me di cuenta ???? de que me hablan???? siento que a muchos le gustó fue por lo spacy
Comenzando porque Harper en el primer libro no me cayó bien, me dió la impresión que era una chica egoísta y que solo vela por sus propios intereses, le dió la espalda a su hermana como todos los demás, y si claro ella se fue de la mafia, pero mamita hay tantas maneras de comunicarse con tu hermana gemela, lo peor es que la razón por la que Riley abandona a la familia es horrenda, vamos la violaron y todo, y me dices que su hermana gemela ni una perra llamada en esos 3 años?? ni un abrazo?? ni un apoyo, nada, aparece 3 años después a invitarla a su boda con el chico que siempre la a gustado a Riley, yo dije pero que desgraciada, luego se da a la fuga y le deja todo ese lío prendió a Riley, no sé puede ser más hija de puta, en este libro ella cuenta un poco la historia desde su punto de vista, y si, ella también sufrió a manos de su padre, pero hermana, no justifica nada, Riley no dudo nunca en ayudarla o arriesgar la vida por ella (vamos ella estaba peleando por salvar a su hermana mientras que la Harper cogiendo con Cian 🤡) Harper no, ella velaba por sus intereses siempre, en todo ese tiempo que estubo desaparecida no se pregunto que podían obligar a su hermana a reemplazarla o algo, ella se fue y no pensó en más nadie, y claro lo entiendo, ella quería su libertad y todo eso, esa parte la entiendo, pero mamita, al menos llama a tu hermana y pregúntale si ella está bien, al menos eso, eso me deja con una tremenda incongruencia en estos dos libros, en el primero libro Riley cuenta que ella hablo con Harper y que pues hablaron y ella le contó porque se tenía que ir y que su hermana le había dicho que próximamente regresaría, que le diera chance, que solo estaba pensando y aclarando las cosas en su mente, cómo es posible que en esa llamada Riley no le dijera a Harper que la estaban obligando a suplantarla? yo pensé que se lo había dicho, eso da a entender el libro, porque Riley siempre está esperando que ella regrese a ocupar su lugar como esposa de Finn, pero ahora en este libro resulta que Harper no sabía nada de eso, ella se fue y no supo más nada de eso, ella creía que su hermana estaba bien en su casa, tranquila y todo, y no entiendo como no lo supo, si cuando ella se llaman ya Riley estaba haciéndose pasar por Harper, pero bueno, en este libro la Harper era inocente de todo eso, pobrecita ella, al final si que le pide disculpas a su hermana por ser una pésima persona con ella, y aunque entiendo que ambas pasaron cosas debió al padre que tienen, empatizo mucho más con Riley que con Harper y este libro pensé que me iba hacer cambiar de opinión y pues no, entiendo todo, pero aún así mi empatía está más con Riley, pero quitando esas cosas, Harper tampoco fue que me dejara súper wow, que protagonista tan wow, de lo mejor, nada que ver, si tiene sus cosas, pero no profundizaron mucho en ella, no fue como con Riley que me enteré de las cosas que le gustaba, que hacía y todo eso, con Harper no fue tan así, me hubiera asustado saber más de ella, súper pequeños detalles que me hicieron entender algunas cosas, solo sabía que quería escapar y ser libre, más nada, hubiera sido genial explorar más de las personalidad de ella, que hablara más de lo que le hizo vivir su padre, y esas cosas
Ahora con Cian si me esperaba bastante porque en el primer libro dió vibras de chico súper posesivo y todo eso, todo malote y blabla, pero en este libro me súper quedo a deber, la verdad es que muy pocas cosas me impresionaron de él, no ví esa obsesión loca, lo otro que no ví es lo súper increíble y letal que es, Sisi, el chico tiene lo suyo, pero a veces caía en unas trampas que yo las veía venir a distancia y él que está entrenado para eso no, ver cómo Harper se le escapaba cada vez era súper chistoso, es como que man una chica que no sabe ni de defensa personal te patea el culo una y otra vez, te manipula a su antojo y todo, se le escapaba a cada rato y él ni cuenta se daba, cuando se le escapó en el motel me dió mucha risa, porque ella salió de la habitación, se fue del motel y hizo todo eso y Cian súper bien dormido, es que man, dónde está ese súper instinto de mafioso, no que fuiste entrenado para todo eso? si yo siento cuando alguien abre la puerta de mi cuarto mientras duermo no va sentir él que Harper ha abandonado sus brazos y la habitación y eso que tiene muchos enemigos, y esto recordando que ellos mientras estaban allí corrían peligro, man como mafioso se muere de hambre el Cian, mucho ruido la verdad, bien dicen que perro que ladra no muerde
La historia en si es aburrida, en tema de mafia deja mucho que desear, en el primero ya lo había notado, pero estaba mucho más emocionante para mí que este, había menos incongruencias, es que como son una de las mafias más poderosas y siempre mandan a los mismo 3 pelagatos a recatar a la gente, secuestran a Harper y manda al mismo grupo de amigos como si no hubieran más gente, estamos hablando de una mafia grande y poderosa con recursos, manden más gente por Dios, siempre les viven pateando el culo, en el primero libro fue lo mismo cuando se llevaron a Finn mandaron como a 10 personas nada más a recatar al heredero de la mafia por Dios, de allí solo salieron los protagonistas de estos libros y uno más y por el puro poder del guión, hermano por Dios, métele producción a tu mafia, está bien mamerta, y si sigo hablando solo de lo malo que es la mafia aquí no termino hoy, vamos con la historia de amor inexistente de los protagonistas
En este libro no vas a encontrar nada en plan romántico o amor, no vas a encontrar como se enamoran los protagonistas, porque todo es lujuria, sexo, todo es algo carnal, algo físico, eso sí lo exploran mucho aquí, la autora solo sabe escribir eso, y al que le guste solo leer libros donde el sexo sea tema importante y principal está bien, pero a veces aburre leer en cada página sobre eso, es como que la historia pierde sentido, todo lo que importa deja de importar para que los protagonistas tengan sexo, dejando lo más importante a segundo plano, que es el tema de mafia, de estrategias, de romance, de la química sentimental de los personajes, no puedes dejar lo sentimental de lado, es importante también meterlo, porque si un buen sexo enamora, no lo niego, pero debe haber algo más que solo eso, debe existir conversaciones entre ellos de los que les gusta, de lo que no, de cosas importantes, es importante cultivar ese vínculo también para que uno conecte emocionalmente con la pareja, pero la autora no lo hace, en el primer libro fue lo mismo, pero al menos hubo un poco más de interés, pero aquí? en este es que no hay nada, todo lo que estos dos hacían era coger, cada interacción que tenia Cian y Harper termina en quererse coger o cogiendo, o en sus mentes diciendo lo rico que estaban, lo mucho que se querían hacer, y vuelve a pasar lo mismo aquí que en el primero, en conversaciones que tienen los protagonistas que es algo importante la autora interrumpe esa comunicación con sexo, entonces es los protagonistas teniendo sexo mientras hablan de eso importante pero que al final termina dejando de ser importante porque pasa a segundo plano y es tocado muy equis, porque ella uso todo para que solo nos enfocarnos en ellos dos cogiendo, porque claro esa es la única manera de que ellos dos se enamoren, cogiendo, obvio es la única herramienta, y luego ponen escenas de sexo en situaciones que nada que ver, me estás diciendo que a Harper la secuestran, le inyectan una droga desconocida, le quitan parte de su costilla, la cosen, la maltratan, y luego de todo eso no ha pasado ni dos días de eso lo primero que quiere hacer al ver a Cian es coger??? en serio??? yo en esa parte quedé tiesa, vamos que el buen spacy gusta, pero así? un momento tan vulnerable y tan feo la autora lo uso para que ellos cogieran en vez de hablar de ellos, o hablar de lo mal que se sintieron ambos al pensar que no se volverían a ver, es que un abrazo no bastaba, no, era coger y con una costilla jodida, ya te digo yo que esto es de no creerse, y así todo el rato, así también paso cuando Harper se le escapo a Cian él en vez de decirle sus 3 cosas, o regresar ya con ella pues no, decide que debe castigarla, y como la va castigar? claro con su gran polla 💀 absurdo, ya te digo yo, y así es todo, al final la obsesión que decía tener Cian por Harper no fue nada del otro mundo, de brutal no tiene nada, Cian cómo obsesionado es de lo más aburrido que he leído, yo pensé que por el título iba a ser una cosa fuerte, pero no, que si, que él pensaba en ella, en ellos cogiendo específicamente, pero más nada, cómo él mismo le dijo a ella, solo una noche te pido, él iba permitir que ella se casará con su amigo, y cuando se dan ese beso desde allí es que ya no deja de pensar en ella, toda su obsesión se resume a eso, ya no podía vivir sin ella por el beso que se dieron, dejando de coger con las demás mujer que siempre cogia y ya, yo pensé que este hombre iba hasta a saber el color favorito de esta muchacha, iba a conocer hasta sus secretos más íntimos, pero pues no, porque de paso él mismo ni la conocía, había caído en el mismo engaño que todos los demás por eso mismo, porque nunca se llegaron a conocer bien ni nada, y eso no cambia cuando comienzan a interactuar más, así que este chico como obsesionado no da la talla, ya te digo yo que cuando me obsesiono por algo me se todo, asi que todo ese tema de la obsesión super meh, y así sucesivamente, es que no hay mucho que decir que eso, ellos nunca tuvieron nada así súper wow, solo sexo, Harper nunca le presto atención a Cian pero basto 3 cogidas para ella súper enamorarse de él, increíble, que todo se resuma a eso, ya después de esas cogidas ambos estaban diciéndose que se amaban, ya se querían casar y tener hijos, vamos lo típico
Y no me hagan hablar de como Cian mata a una cucaracha con la mano, que perro puto asco, y lo más chistoso es que la Harper dice, si es capaz de hacer eso porque yo senti miedo de la cucaracha que no le haría a una persona que quiera hacerme daño, ay amiga por favor, chica que dices JAJAJAJAJAJAJA ya te digo yo que si veo a un chico que me gusta matando a un bicho de eso con la mano no dejo que me toque, que si, que se la lavo, pero igual, que perro asco, luego de eso tienen sexo por Dios 💀toda esa escena es tan random JAJAJA, ay no, la verdad pudiera seguir criticando este libro hasta mañana, pero ya me aburrí de recordar todo, los protagonistas no me dieron nada súper wow, es un libro más de mafia con protagonista cogiendo como conejos o hablando de como se quieren coger, o de lo rico que tienen la polla y el coño, no hay más cosas que eso, con una mafia muy regular, con temas importantes que lo dejan en segundo plano, las dos estrellas es de por ser buena onda, y por esa parte del libro que si me gustó y fue. entretenida, y el misterio del topo no debe ser tan wow, yo sospecho que es el papá de Riley y Harper, todo apunta a eso, la verdad solo por saber eso me leería el siguiente libro, pero creo que no quiero, no sé, quiero es solo saber si ese es el infiltrado o no, porque si este libro fue así de meh, el que sigue será igual, la autora tiene muy marcado su estilo, pero lo voy a meditar con la almohada, esa información si me interesa y me interesa que si resulta ser él lo maten, porque me cae gordo, entonces solo por eso lo leería, me tocará saltarme todo lo spacy en el siguiente libro porque joder es que todo gira en torno a eso, y si yo quisiera solo leer de eso me fuera a leer a una autora que al menos si escriba un spacy bueno y que deje a uno con calor, no un spacy como este tan fastidioso y que solo está allí para ser relleno

En este libro no vas a encontrar nada en plan romántico o amor, no vas a encontrar como se enamoran los protagonistas, porque todo es lujuria, sexo, todo es algo carnal, algo físico, eso sí lo exploran mucho aquí, la autora solo sabe escribir eso, y al que le guste solo leer libros donde el sexo sea tema importante y principal está bien, pero a veces aburre leer en cada página sobre eso, es como que la historia pierde sentido, todo lo que importa deja de importar para que los protagonistas tengan sexo, dejando lo más importante a segundo plano, que es el tema de mafia, de estrategias, de romance, de la química sentimental de los personajes, no puedes dejar lo sentimental de lado, es importante también meterlo, porque si un buen sexo enamora, no lo niego, pero debe haber algo más que solo eso, debe existir conversaciones entre ellos de los que les gusta, de lo que no, de cosas importantes, es importante cultivar ese vínculo también para que uno conecte emocionalmente con la pareja, pero la autora no lo hace, en el primer libro fue lo mismo, pero al menos hubo un poco más de interés, pero aquí? en este es que no hay nada, todo lo que estos dos hacían era coger, cada interacción que tenia Cian y Harper termina en quererse coger o cogiendo, o en sus mentes diciendo lo rico que estaban, lo mucho que se querían hacer, y vuelve a pasar lo mismo aquí que en el primero, en conversaciones que tienen los protagonistas que es algo importante la autora interrumpe esa comunicación con sexo, entonces es los protagonistas teniendo sexo mientras hablan de eso importante pero que al final termina dejando de ser importante porque pasa a segundo plano y es tocado muy equis, porque ella uso todo para que solo nos enfocarnos en ellos dos cogiendo, porque claro esa es la única manera de que ellos dos se enamoren, cogiendo, obvio es la única herramienta, y luego ponen escenas de sexo en situaciones que nada que ver, me estás diciendo que a Harper la secuestran, le inyectan una droga desconocida, le quitan parte de su costilla, la cosen, la maltratan, y luego de todo eso no ha pasado ni dos días de eso lo primero que quiere hacer al ver a Cian es coger??? en serio??? yo en esa parte quedé tiesa, vamos que el buen spacy gusta, pero así? un momento tan vulnerable y tan feo la autora lo uso para que ellos cogieran en vez de hablar de ellos, o hablar de lo mal que se sintieron ambos al pensar que no se volverían a ver, es que un abrazo no bastaba, no, era coger y con una costilla jodida, ya te digo yo que esto es de no creerse, y así todo el rato, así también paso cuando Harper se le escapo a Cian él en vez de decirle sus 3 cosas, o regresar ya con ella pues no, decide que debe castigarla, y como la va castigar? claro con su gran polla 💀 absurdo, ya te digo yo, y así es todo, al final la obsesión que decía tener Cian por Harper no fue nada del otro mundo, de brutal no tiene nada, Cian cómo obsesionado es de lo más aburrido que he leído, yo pensé que por el título iba a ser una cosa fuerte, pero no, que si, que él pensaba en ella, en ellos cogiendo específicamente, pero más nada, cómo él mismo le dijo a ella, solo una noche te pido, él iba permitir que ella se casará con su amigo, y cuando se dan ese beso desde allí es que ya no deja de pensar en ella, toda su obsesión se resume a eso, ya no podía vivir sin ella por el beso que se dieron, dejando de coger con las demás mujer que siempre cogia y ya, yo pensé que este hombre iba hasta a saber el color favorito de esta muchacha, iba a conocer hasta sus secretos más íntimos, pero pues no, porque de paso él mismo ni la conocía, había caído en el mismo engaño que todos los demás por eso mismo, porque nunca se llegaron a conocer bien ni nada, y eso no cambia cuando comienzan a interactuar más, así que este chico como obsesionado no da la talla, ya te digo yo que cuando me obsesiono por algo me se todo, asi que todo ese tema de la obsesión super meh, y así sucesivamente, es que no hay mucho que decir que eso, ellos nunca tuvieron nada así súper wow, solo sexo, Harper nunca le presto atención a Cian pero basto 3 cogidas para ella súper enamorarse de él, increíble, que todo se resuma a eso, ya después de esas cogidas ambos estaban diciéndose que se amaban, ya se querían casar y tener hijos, vamos lo típico
Y no me hagan hablar de como Cian mata a una cucaracha con la mano, que perro puto asco, y lo más chistoso es que la Harper dice, si es capaz de hacer eso porque yo senti miedo de la cucaracha que no le haría a una persona que quiera hacerme daño, ay amiga por favor, chica que dices JAJAJAJAJAJAJA ya te digo yo que si veo a un chico que me gusta matando a un bicho de eso con la mano no dejo que me toque, que si, que se la lavo, pero igual, que perro asco, luego de eso tienen sexo por Dios 💀toda esa escena es tan random JAJAJA, ay no, la verdad pudiera seguir criticando este libro hasta mañana, pero ya me aburrí de recordar todo, los protagonistas no me dieron nada súper wow, es un libro más de mafia con protagonista cogiendo como conejos o hablando de como se quieren coger, o de lo rico que tienen la polla y el coño, no hay más cosas que eso, con una mafia muy regular, con temas importantes que lo dejan en segundo plano, las dos estrellas es de por ser buena onda, y por esa parte del libro que si me gustó y fue. entretenida, y el misterio del topo no debe ser tan wow, yo sospecho que es el papá de Riley y Harper, todo apunta a eso, la verdad solo por saber eso me leería el siguiente libro, pero creo que no quiero, no sé, quiero es solo saber si ese es el infiltrado o no, porque si este libro fue así de meh, el que sigue será igual, la autora tiene muy marcado su estilo, pero lo voy a meditar con la almohada, esa información si me interesa y me interesa que si resulta ser él lo maten, porque me cae gordo, entonces solo por eso lo leería, me tocará saltarme todo lo spacy en el siguiente libro porque joder es que todo gira en torno a eso, y si yo quisiera solo leer de eso me fuera a leer a una autora que al menos si escriba un spacy bueno y que deje a uno con calor, no un spacy como este tan fastidioso y que solo está allí para ser relleno

Mmc's initial treatment towards Fmc was appalling and she doesn't fight back and answers those stupid double standard questions of Mmc. Girl, but why do you have to answer his crazy ass questions? He himself is a Manwhore and asking how many D she had in Hawaii? Did you ever put this ..that in your blah blah. His misery after her departure doesn't justify mistreating his women (Fmc) besides they were not a thing that time. It's quite sickening to read those double standard things.

Okay, so, I'm not going to lie here: I devoured the first and second book so freaking quickly. Maybe had a 24-hour break in between them. The first book was about Finn and Riley. I loved them so freaking much and glad that they found love. This book is about Riley's twin and her love interest: Harper and Cian.
In the first book, we sort of got some information that Riley and Harper's dad was honestly the worst person imaginable. The way he treated his own daughters and used them for the mafia hurt my heart. One was outcasted and the other was the apple of his eyes (or so we thought). We do get a bit more information about how these two grew up and, again, it hurts my heart that they both deal with panic attacks.
Anyways, Cian and Finn (the lover boys) are finally getting to know some of this information throughout their books. Sure, that definitely changes things because their boss just happens to be the same dang guy. On top of that, we find out that there's a mole in the family. I definitely think it's the girl's dad. So, I will be surprised if it isn't in the end.
I have the next book already downloaded to my kindle so now I just need to find some time to read it.

I took a bit long but jeeeeezzzz I feel like I was getting a headache every chapter😭
Both MMC and FMC had the emotional range of a door and I could not stand it. He was just completely obsessive and every word had me wanting to punch him and the FMC was so back and forth. One second she is stating how he is bad and he’s using her and she doesn’t like him but then making out with him right after she says that and that happens throughout the book.

it turned out to be a okay read. I like the book, Character and story but I didn’t love it.
I like the angst between cian and harper. but other than that idk the story wasn’t it. there wasn't much to the story.
the story was only about how one night they kissed they were supposed to go home together but she ran away from all that bcoz she wanted to have a fresh start in her life under her own terms . cian was sent on assignment to get her back and he gets her back and she got kidnapped they found her back and they both live happily ever after that was the whole story.
I wanted some emotional connection but the focus was on more physical connection. it was pure lust . there was very less conversations between them . and when they both said I love you to each other as a Reader I didn’t feel any connection. sure they have chemistry but it was pure lust. she ran away from him 2-3 times bcoz he is a manwhore but suddenly due to that first kiss he is just hook on harper and he don't want anyone else other than her. some things in the book was annoying.
It was okay read. it might me your favourite sure as hell it is not my fav though. but give it a try .
I liked the first book in the series more . 1st book set high expectations and my expectations didn’t reach so probably that's why I didn't like it that much.

I was bored stiff through the whole damn thing. I'm so over them repeating the same old crap: run away, then hook up, repeat, then have a fight, then hook up again. I didn't actually like the story, but I forced myself to finish it.
She know the criminals are after her, yet she keeps running off, goes into the bathroom by herself, and gets kidnapped? Seriously, how dumb is that? The first book was way better, TBH.
354 pages of pure boredom and straight-up stupidity.

But somewhere along the way, the thrill dipped for a bit—it started feeling like they were just looking for excuses for more BangBang.
They kept trying to show their love for each other, yet neither truly believed they were worthy of being loved in return. They clung to the idea of each other as the "man-whore" or "woman-whore," and it took forever for them to accept that they deserved love—from each other, no less. So naturally, there was a lot of push and pull.
I’m starting to think it’s Renee’s signature move to give us an action-packed cinematic climax, followed by raw and emotional confessions. No complaints here!
I’m still not over Finn and Riley from Shattered Hearts. Every time they were mentioned, I felt this rush of excitement! And Riley, working with the enforcers and totally holding her own—what a badass moment. I need more of that!
