Sweetwater’s hottest new pitcher Hunter Reddick doesn’t lose. But he’s never met me. And I won’t even let him in the game.

Sweetwater Mavericks players are good for one thing—tips. I’ve been serving the latest crop of minor league ballers to hit my town every spring and summer for the past four years, and while I dream about life away from Sweetwater, I know that I’m tied to my hometown as long as my father needs me. As fun as one-night stands and summer flings are, they never lead anywhere good. Real love doesn’t exist—my mother taught me that.

But then I’m tempted by him.

Hunter Reddick is the talk of the league. He never backs down from a challenge. Bottom of the ninth, two outs, winning run on third? He’s throwing a fast ball for the win. But when Hunter and his new teammates come into my bar, he makes his move on me, not expecting to get benched.

Just as he decides to give up, my carefully guarded walls start to break down. Maybe a summer fling isn’t such a bad idea after all. Except Hunter wants more than a summer. He wants falls, and winters, and something real. And he’s set his sights on me. The one girl who can’t give him that.

Then he throws me a curveball.

I can't remember the last time that I was this excited for a brand new sports romance series, but after reading the first book in The Boys of Sweetwater Springs, I am already hooked and so anxious for more. And with a total of six books, there is a lot more yet to come!

Easy Tiger is Hunter and Renleigh's story. Hunter Rennick is a number one draft pick playing baseball in Sweetwater until he gets called up. When he lays eyes on Renleigh Blackwood, he's immediately smitten, but he may be wasting his time. Renleigh is all too familiar with baseball players and she doesn't do relationships at all, especially with someone who pitches a ball for a living.

I'm not a big sports fan, but I absolutely love sports romance. I feel like there are not enough baseball stories, so this is a nice change from the piles of hockey and football romances that I typically read. This story also has the small town feel that I love as well as the perfect mix of sports, romance and family drama.

Hunter is my favorite kind of hero, totally falling for his girl and ready to prove himself no matter what it takes. Renleigh's stubborn determination to protect her heart was breaking mine, but I couldn't really fault her for it. These two had me laughing, tearing up, and swooning so hard. I loved them, but I have a feeling that I may love the next couple in this series even more. I can't wait!

⚾ Easy Tiger is the first book in The Boys of Sweetwater series, and I'm hooked! ⚾

Ginger Scott's characters burrow their way into your heart, and you can't help but cheer for them, hoping that despite the odds, they'll find a way to make it together.

Renleigh is back in Sweetwater to care for her father after his second stroke. Having front row seats to her parents' marriage and subsequent divorce, she's not looking for a relationship, especially one with a baseball player who's making a temporary stop in Sweetwater on his way to the majors.

Hunter is Dallas' number one draft pick, a pitcher with all-star potential. He plans to continue making a name for himself and get called up to the big leagues before the season's over. When he notices Ren waitressing at the local bar, he's immediately drawn to her and will do anything to get to know her better, including accepting a bet from his teammates. Unfortunately for him, she turns him down for a date but offers to leave with him, so he wins the bet. Hunter's a relationship guy, and he wants Ren to give him a chance. There's just something about her that calls him, and he won't give up without a fight.

Fear holds Ren in its fist, keeping her from someone who could love her as she deserves. Will she continue to allow it to hold her back, or finally take a chance and pursue what makes her happy with no regrets?

Easy Tiger seamlessly intertwines baseball with angsty romance, making it a home run in my book.

I'm so excited to see where this series goes, and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Brooks' story.

Favorite Quotes and Lines:

He proved then that he doesn’t back down from a challenge, and despite every attempt I’ve made to cut him loose, he keeps showing up. For me.

“You are not a pair of socks, Renleigh Blackwood. You are my non- negotiable.”

“I’m young, Renleigh, but I’m not naïve. I know what special feels like. And what we have is special. It deserves more time.”

Ginger Scott has done it again, she has given us a spectacular new sports romance/series and I am excited for more.

Hunter and Renleigh have a story that hooked me in. He is smitten, she is not interested in relationships, and she knows all about baseball players. She makes him do the work, and he is ready for it.

Easy Tiger is a small town, sports romance, and baseball is Ginger Scott’s specialty. Her knowledge of the sport, her fantastic characters and her spin on the window of their lives. I fell for these characters and wanted them to find their way to each other.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

A great start to a new series which is already packed with interesting characters who I want to get to know better! Kicking off with Renleigh and Hunter we have two delightful main characters. Renleigh, who has put off completing her studies to take care of her lovely dad, is strong minded, loyal, fun and definitely someone who can be won over easily! Hunter, though cocky, or as he prefers to say, confident, has an inate sweetness to him as well as humour and ambition. I k ow very little about baseball, but I love all sports set stories, so despite my ignorance, I thoroughly enjoyed the setting.
Hunter's determination to drown out Renleigh's reservations is so much fun, and I loved their journey to their HEA. The book has great pace and heart. 💖💖💖💖

Ginger Scott and Baseball??? Yes, please! I loved everything about this book. It was short and sweet! Hunter is so cute and I just loved all of the flirting with Renleigh. I can’t wait for the rest of the series. Baseball romances will always have my heart, especially when they are written by Ginger!

I read an advanced copy and this is my honest opinion.

Easy Tiger is the wonderful beginning to The Boys of Sweetwater Springs. Ginger Scott allows her continued love of baseball to shine in this romance between the new hotshot pitcher in town and the barmaid who seemingly wants nothing to do with him. But Hunter Reddick is nothing but persistent, as he is determined for Renleigh Blackwood to see him as not just another cocky ballplayer, but perhaps the man who can help her realize her dreams.

These two have chemistry right away, as a bet from fellow Triple-A players encourages Hunter to try and snag a date with the feisty Renleigh, only for him to be left at the curb and Renleigh almost $200 richer. But that doesn't deter Hunter and I loved how he is careful and courteous with his persistence that Renleigh give him a chance.

I must say that I almost surprised how quickly Renleigh relents, but knowing what she had given up 2 years prior to come back home from college to help take care of her father, I was secretly thrilled she decided to go camping with Hunter and his buddies. That Renleigh threw caution to the wind as her continued battles with her mostly absent mother constantly make her upset, was a huge step and I was darn proud she decided to do something for herself for a change. And the 'talented' Hunter proved just how proficient he was both on and off the field, making 'do' with a one-person tent and sleeping bag and allowing Renleigh to feel something other than obligation for a change.

Hunter is a keeper of the highest order. Although he has to learn on his first outing on the mound to always listen to his catcher, his relationship with Roddy and his other teammates is something to be admired. Not to mention how patient he is with Renleigh, hoping she'll come around completely as their whirlwind romance gives each of them a few bumps that threaten to derail what they have started to build together. In fact, I loved that Hunter fell first and knew what he found with Renleigh was definitely worth waiting for.

This book is an easy read with Ginger Scott's prose always a pleasure to devour. There are several secondary characters who offer up both plenty of angst and levity when needed, including Dale, Lindsey and Roddy. With Roddy, in particular, always there to make sure his pitcher did what was expected and to call him out when necessary, making him a true highlight to the storyline. BUT, although this is clearly Hunter's book, we get to see Renleigh emerge as the young woman she was always destined to be. Apparently, she just needed the love and support of a man who shouldn't have rocked her world the way he did, but thankfully, Hunter did it anyway. The fact that he saw her, continues to see her like no one else can, is pure swoon, plain and simple.

With Brooks next up in this new series, I can't wait to see how his new nanny changes his world for the better and how he is bound to fall head over heels with yet another Blackwood sister. Should be quite the ride and I'll be here for every crazy minute. In addition, I wouldn't mind more of the backstory btw Roddy and Daisy since they seem to have had their own drama play out for more years than they probably want to admit.

When looking for a first-class sports romance experience like no other, grab Easy Tiger. It's bound to warm your heart and make you sigh and smile often. I know I did and happily give this newest Ginger Scott book a huge 4 stars!

Easy Tiger by Ginger Scott is book one in her new The Boys of Sweetwater Springs series. An enemies to lovers, small town, baseball romance between Hunter Reddick and Renleigh Blackwood. A sweet story about the rookie pitcher and the local barmaid. He falls first and faces the challenge of winning her heart and proving to her not all players are the same. It is also about what people will do for those they love.

Two years ago Renleigh was at college and near to graduating when she had to give her dreams up and return home to look after her father. She’s a daddy’s girl and will do anything for him. She loves her sister Lindsey, and her nephews but has conflict with her mother and trust issues. She watches every year a new group of ballers arriving in town to play, full of ego and bravado. She refuses to date or fall for one because they are just passing through her small town and she knows how often these relationships don’t work out.

Hunter is a rookie pitcher and the number one draft pick by the Texas Rangers. He has arrived to play for The Sweetwater Mavericks in the minor league for the summer. After training the team go for drinks at Earl’s Big Easy where Renleigh immediately catches his eye. Roddy, the catcher, says she’s not for him and warns him off her. Hunter is confident he can ask her out but his teammates have a bet that he won’t take her home. She pretends she doesn’t recognise him and plays along. The evening doesn't end as he hoped but he is not put off and is determined to win her over.

Ren thinks he’s cocky, but sees he has a sweet side and is a gentleman. He’s a temptation she’s determined to resist. She is stubborn but he is persistent and never gives up on pursuing her because everything has changed for him since he met her. He fights for a relationship with her and their banter is very amusing. There are some funny incidents as they get to know each other and he tries to break down her walls. She challenges him and doesn’t let him get away with anything. He understands her anxieties over relationships and I loved how he works hard to prove he is serious and wants something more with her.

He is fully invested and knows what they have is special but needs her to feel the same. She knows falling in love with him will be hard and scary. When his dreams come true, will she do something for herself for a change. Will she take a risk and follow not only her dreams but also the man who has worked his way into her heart. Is she strong enough to withstand his baseball schedule and how will the game affect them. There is some family drama and a little angst as secrets are revealed. It was lovely how he wants her to be happy and fulfil her dreams even if it effects their relationship, he just wants to be with her in any way he can.

This is a six book series so we are introduced to a good selection of secondary characters and the author teases us with snippets of information about some of them. I really liked Roddy as he helps and supports Hunter. He obviously has history with Daisy who owns Earl’s and has a messy relationship with his son Jake. I felt sorry for his teammate Brooks who gets a big surprise but it looks like Hunter has come up with a good solution for him. I loved the twist in the epilogue, so romantic and they get the HEA with another bet.

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

From football to baseball, Ginger Scott has started her new series, The Boys of Sweetwater Springs. Easy Tiger is a fun, romantic read that ties together love, loyalty, teamwork, and trust both on and off the baseball diamond. As our MMC finds his footing in a new town and a new team, he wants to prove he is the best. While our FMC doesn’t date the players who may just be passing through. As they open up to each other, they find so much more than attraction. They are impossible to not root for!

Hunter loves baseball and he is good at it. He is young and cocky, but on a team with players who know the importance of working together, they keep him humble and focused. After one of their games they end up at the local bar where Hunter notices a bartender who he can’t take his eyes off of. Knowing how good looking he is, he takes a bet with his teammates that he can get her attention and even though he does, overall fails miserably. Yet, he doesn’t let one setback keep him from continuing to pursue her. There is something about her that he can’t stop thinking about and he is going to find out.

Renleigh gave up a lot when she came home to take care of her father. Working at a bar that has baseball players coming in and leaving just as quickly, she usually doesn’t give them a second glance. There’s the players who have been around for a while, but they keep to themselves and don’t push her for anything more than another drink. The new rookie though, Hunter, doesn’t seem to back down as easily. She finds herself not wanting him to either. Renleigh has been hurt badly in the past, by someone who should never have hurt her, so I understood how hard it was for her to trust others.

Ginger brings so much to Hunter and Renleigh’s story. From cautious and closed off to fully opening yourself to being loved how you deserve, the two of them find something deep and meaningful with each other. I adored how Hunter fell first and didn't back down. He doesn’t push or act inappropriately, he just doesn’t give up on what he feels for Renleigh. Ginger also introduced us to many characters who I hope to see over and over again! The perfect read for any sports romance fan!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Easy Tiger is a fantastic opening to The Boys of Sweetwater Springs series and a reminder of why Ginger Scott does sports romance so incredibly well. Her love for the game—especially baseball—shines through every page, and her understanding of young love adds an emotional authenticity that’s impossible to fake. Scott’s prose is quietly poetic, never overdone, and her storytelling pulls you in and makes it hard to put the book down.

There’s something irresistible about minor league baseball set in a small town, where everyone is invested in the team and the players are equal parts talented, arrogant, hopeful, and desperate to prove themselves—on and off the field. Sweetwater Springs feels alive, like a place where summer nights revolve around baseball games and gossip travels fast. At times, I definitely felt “Bull Durham” vibes, especially with the blend of clubhouse swagger, on-field tension, and the off-field romance simmering just beneath the surface.

Renleigh and Hunter absolutely stole my heart. Their relationship is layered, emotional, and built with care. Renleigh is guarded and slow to trust, shaped by her past in a way that feels genuine and earned. Hunter, on the other hand, is cocky and confident in that charming ballplayer way—but what really makes him shine is his loyalty and relentless persistence. His pursuit of Renleigh never feels shallow or forced; instead, it’s grounded in patience, respect, and real feeling. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and the banter is fresh, natural, and fun.

Overall, Easy Tiger delivers everything I want in a sports romance: meaningful character development, emotional depth, great tension, and a perfect balance of baseball action and romance. With strong on-field stakes, compelling off-field dynamics, and a love story that feels both tender and earned, this book left me eager for more from Sweetwater Springs. ⚾💛

“You are my non-negotiable.”

Ginger Scott loads up the bases with adversaries to lovers, twist on a bet, one sleeping bag, he falls first and hits a grand slam with this small town, baseball romance. There’s on-field tension and off-field romance and both the plot and the characters of Easy Tiger will steal your heart!

I loved the adversaries to lovers tension in this one. Renleigh Blackwood was stubborn, beyond loyal, feisty and could hold her own with the guys. She isn’t someone who trusts and/or falls easily and watching her fight her attraction to Hunter was glorious. But the real MVP of the game? Hunter Reddick. He falls first, and he falls hard. He was cocky and confident to a fault, but there was no quit in Hunter – not when it came to baseball and not when it came to Renleigh. The camping trip scene with the one-person tent and sleeping bag? Steamy, forced proximity at its finest! The real highlight was watching Hunter and Renleigh catch feelings that go the distance though. *Chef’s kiss!*

The small-town charm is real in Sweetwater Springs, OK. I could picture the walkable Main Street, historic architecture, and close-knit community (where everyone knows your business) that all centers around the magic of their minor league baseball team. The hometown nostalgia is the perfect backdrop for the story. And I mean, how can you not be romantic about baseball?

I expected Easy Tiger to be a light, quick romance, but I was pleasantly surprised that this book was more than just fluff. The characters are multi-faceted and feel like real people. The story itself offers substance beyond the surface-level tropes. This book proves that when it’s your turn at the plate even with a full count, you have to swing for the fences when it comes to your hopes and dreams. It’s okay to do something for yourself even if it’s scary and out of your comfort zone. When you love someone, nothing makes you happier than seeing them live their best life even if it’s not with you. Real love never quits.

If you are looking for a steamy, small-town, baseball romance with a stubborn FMC, a MMC who knows what he wants (spoiler alert: it's her) and emotional depth, this is the perfect read for you!

Easy Tiger came in swinging and absolutely knocked me out of the park.

This book has that Ginger Scott magic where everything feels lived-in and real, like you can smell the beer-soaked bar floors and hear the crack of a bat somewhere in the distance. Hunter Reddick might be Sweetwater’s golden arm, but watching him get benched by a stubborn, sharp-tongued bartender was pure joy. I loved every second of it.

The banter is top-tier. The tension is delicious. And the slow unraveling of walls? Perfection. The FMC is closed off for reasons that hurt, and those reasons matter. Her loyalty to her father, her complicated relationship with her hometown, and her belief that love is temporary made her feel painfully human. She isn’t cold for sport. She’s protecting herself the only way she knows how.

Hunter, though. Wow. He falls first and he falls hard, and he does it with patience, respect, and that quiet confidence that makes you melt without realizing it. He doesn’t try to win her like a game. He stays. He listens. He chooses her again and again, even when it would be easier not to.

The adversaries-to-lovers arc is so satisfying, especially with the twist on the bet and the one sleeping bag moment that had me grinning like an idiot. The baseball backdrop is woven in seamlessly, never overpowering the romance, just adding that extra layer of stakes and charm.

And the emotional payoff? Earned. Every look, every almost, every step forward felt intentional. This isn’t just a summer fling story. It’s about wanting more even when you’re terrified to reach for it. About choosing hope over fear. About learning that love doesn’t always leave.

I finished Easy Tiger with a full heart and that soft ache that only comes from a romance done right. Sweet, emotional, swoony, and deeply satisfying. Absolute five-star comfort read with teeth. ⚾💛

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 is the first book in the new series, The Boys of Sweetwater Springs by Ginger Scott, featuring an entertaining adversaries to lovers, baseball romance for Hunter and Renleigh. He’s the newest pitching phenom to come through the Sweetwater Mavericks minor league team waiting on the call to the big dance, and she’s the bartender dealing with real world problems who knows better than to mess with an athlete that’s just passing through. But Hunter Reddick is more than just a cute guy trying to win a bet. He’s ready to set his laser focus on Renleigh, and he doesn’t intend to lose.

I love the anticipation of starting a new series… new characters, a world to construct, and an excited curiosity over how it will all flow. I loved Hunter right away! He had that confidence and swagger you would expect from someone with his talent, yet he was kind and charming with an overall positivity that just sucks you in. Renleigh came off as strong and clearly guarded as she focused on assisting her father who has health challenges. I definitely felt for her, and the Coach Blackwood character hit me viscerally, leaving me missing my late father fiercely. The layered emotions were well-written throughout. Hunter provided the perfect escape for Renleigh, in a way, bringing the flirty banter, tons of passionate chemistry, but also a level of compassionate understanding that she wasn’t expecting. Honestly, he was much more willing to capitulate to her whims than most would, even at his own expense. I’m not saying there isn’t a little drama on his part too, though, so just dive in and enjoy a great story! I can’t say enough about the other characters that have been established for this series! From her sister Lindsey to teammates like Brooks and Roddy, I can’t wait for more!

This is Book 1 of The Boys of Sweetwater Springs series!

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

He’s the golden boy pitcher who never loses. She’s the girl who refuses to play the game.

Easy Tiger is the kind of slow-burn, emotionally grounded sports romance that sneaks up on you. It starts light—flirty banter, stubborn FMC, cocky athlete—but quickly settles into something deeper and more heartfelt.

Renleigh is refreshingly realistic: tired, responsible, rooted in her small town because of family obligations, and completely convinced that real love is a lie. Her walls make total sense, and watching Hunter gently, persistently challenge them is where this story truly shines.

Hunter Reddick is peak “he falls first.” Confident but not arrogant, ambitious but soft where it matters, and absolutely all-in from the moment he decides Renleigh is worth more than a summer fling. His energy is pure golden retriever in a baseball uniform.

The tension comes from Renleigh’s fear of wanting more than she thinks she’s allowed to have. This isn’t dramatic for the sake of it—it’s emotional, quiet, and very human. The “one sleeping bag” moment, the twist on the bet, and the way Hunter keeps choosing her over his own convenience? Chef’s kiss.

This is a story about choosing risk over safety, hope over self-protection, and letting someone love you even when you’re scared they’ll leave.

Tropes:
⚾️Baseball romance
⚾️Small town
⚾️Adversaries to lovers
⚾️He falls first
⚾️Stubborn FMC
⚾️One sleeping bag
⚾️Summer fling → something real

If you love soft athletes, emotionally guarded heroines, and romances that feel warm, genuine, and quietly swoony, Easy Tiger is a total home run. ⚾️💛

Easy Tiger ( The Boys Of Sweetwater Springs Book 1 ) 🏠Small Town 🔥Enemies to Lovers ⚾️Baseball Romance There are some books out there that just resonate with you and touch your heart in a way that’ not so easy to put into words in a way that rarely ever happens. Well I can say with 100% certainty that every time I pick up one of Ginger Scott’s romances, it doesn't matter if it's part of a series or not. That's exactly what happens. Easy Tiger is Renleigh and Hunters love story and oh man was it truly spectacular, utterly addicting and beautiful and emotional to the point i can guarantee it Will pull on all your heartstrings in ways you'll never ever be expecting . I have to be completely honest, I’m not even sure there are enough words out there that could even start to express how much I simply adored these two . The fact that both had flaws made them even more likable and relatable for me . Renleigh was such a great heroine and oh how my heart went out to her , because her life wasn’t always easy - having to give up her own dreams to come home and take care of her siblings - the obstacles she endured along the way and the walls she had built around her heart so high / hesitant to let people in so easily . . Hunter - well I just might be a little obsessed and in love with this man !!! The way he stood by her first as a friend and then as so much more . The way he showed her so much love and compassion and understanding, I loved watching these two fall for one another !’add into all that , the angst , the humor , the witty banter , the love , the passion, the drama , the off the charts chemistry, the family and friendships. As she always does Ginger has once again exceeded all my expectations and completely blown me away in all the best ways possible

Hunter is a young baseball player who just graduated college. He is starting out with the Triple A team in Sweetwater Springs. He sets his sights on Renleigh. He notices she never gives ball players a second glance. Hunter is hoping he will be able to open her heart. Hunter is full of himself, he always thinks he is the best out on the field, but for a pitcher you need to be that way.

Sweetwater Springs is home to a triple A baseball ball team. A lot of ball players come through town for 1 season or for many seasons. You never know when you may get called up to the big leagues. Renleigh has never given any of the ball players a second glance as she knows there small town is just a stopping point and no one will last long.

Renleigh has been in Sweetwater Springs her whole life. Her father was a college baseball coach for most of her life. Her parents divorced when she and her sister were teenagers. Renleigh has been bitter with her mother not being in her life most of her life. Her father, just had another stroke and has taken longer to come out of it and to get his life back on track. Renleigh left college with just 15 credits remaining to finish her degree so she could take care of her father. She works as a bartender at a local bar in town.

Renleigh thinks she needs to take care of her dad and her sister. She isn’t sure what to do with her mom being back in their lives. But she wants to keep all guards up around her. Renleigh doesn’t realize everyone can take care of themselves and she doesn’t need to worry as much. Will Renleigh be able to open her heart to Hunter? Will Hunter be able to steal her away from Sweetwater Springs?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest book review.

Note: This review is for an ARC provided by WordSmith Publicity and is my unbiased opinion.

Easy Tiger does an excellent job showcasing why Ginger Scott is one of my favorite new adult sports romance writers. It was filled with raw emotion, just the right amount of angst, two characters to root for, and a love to swoon over. This book was addictive and had I had the time I would have read it in one sitting.

To Hunter, life is full of amazing possibilities. He's playing minor league baseball with a big chance of moving up to the majors. He's learning the ropes and making connections. Meeting Renleigh is the icing on the cake - if he can wear her down for even one date. Hunter knows there is more than just the spark of their chemistry. Renleigh is not as sold. Her life is full of things weighing her down, but they are things she feels tied to with people she loves. She doesn't see beyond her family and life in Sweetwater and Hunter complicates that. Giving into her feelings for him is dangerous and challenges what she thinks her path is. Hunter and Renleigh together were a lot of fun. They had chemistry and a connection that brought banter along with emotion. I loved them together and wanted them to go the distance.

This book also had some great side characters. I loved Renleigh's dad and sister. The minor and major league players surrounding Hunter were great. I can't wait to get more of these characters in the future. I'm so happy I got Hunter and Renleigh's romance, and I'm so glad their book is just the start to the series.

Hunter and Renleigh

Tropes:
* Sports romance (baseball)
* Small town romance
* Adversaries to lovers
* Twist on a bet
* He falls first
* Stubborn FMC
* Summer fling to more

Thoroughly enjoyed.
Hunter comes to town on a contract, waiting for his call-up to the major league. And when he comes across Renleigh, he wants her.

When the bet occurs, and she calls him out, I knew that we would have a good story with some solid banter.
We got it. We also got a wonderful relationship build - a little push-pull, a lot of emotions and a bit of angst at times.
Hunter, despite being a bit of a playboy, ended up being a golden retriever. When we say he falls first, it’s pretty much at first sight!
Renleigh… there’s a lot of emotional damage with her, and she was frustrating at times. There was time spent on her issues with her mum, but oh boy…. there was a bit of angst with her.

Loved Roddy - he was funny, grumpy, and the surrogate big brother they didn’t know they needed. I liked her dad, I didn’t like her mum so much (despite the ‘excuses’ given later). No matter the reason, I just found her to be incredibly selfish… And a major reason my Renleigh’s martyr behaviour went on so long.

But… overall, this was a book that I couldn’t put down. I had to finish it in one sitting…. Wholly enjoyable, plenty of tension, a little space, and very entertaining.

Thanks, Ginger Scott, for the opportunity to read in advance.

This was my first Ginger Scott book and it will not be my last. I am glad I am starting with book 1 of The Boys of Sweetwater Springs series.

Not sure how she is going to do better than Hunter. I freaking loved him. He was loving one minute but then knew how to push the next. There was not one thing he wouldn't do for the ones he loved.

What to expect:
⚾️Baseball Romance
🏘️Small Town
❤️‍🔥Adversaries to Lovers
💁🏻‍♀️Stubborn FMC
🐕 Golden Retriever MMC
🎲Twist on a Bet
🛏️One Sleeping Bag
🎯He Falls First and Hard

Renleigh- She dropped out of school with less than 15 credit hours left to care for her dad after he had another stroke. Does not trust love or relationships after her parents divorce.

Hunter- #1 draft pick that is starting his first games with the minor baseball team in Sweetwater. He is the type of pitcher that knows he is good so Roddy the catcher had to put him in is place. Lesson #1 listen to your catcher. Something he had to learn twice.

I can say this book had me on a roller coaster of emotions. Giggling one minute and aggravated the next. When the trope says stubborn FMC that is no lie. Hunter did everything to try to get her to trust him. Even up to the last page he still was not sure how she would react.

I do wish the book was a little longer. It did feel a little rushed but that is to be expected with a book with 260 pages.

Thank you Ginger Scott and WordSmith Publicity for the early copy. Above are my honest thoughts.

Off to a great start in this series, The Boys of Sweetwater Springs! Hunter Reddick is determined to be the best at everything he does. Baseball, no problem! Pitching, let’s do this! Put a ball in glove in his hands, and you’re met with near perfection. He’s worked his butt off to get where he’s at now, and Hunter is waiting to get called up. Nothing and no one will get in the way of his dream!

Enter Renleigh Blackwood. She has a lot on her plate currently, and doesn’t have the time for a distraction of the male kind. Her dad needs her help, so she left her life in Austin behind to come back home to take care of him. Like I said before, Hunter is a very determined person, and he’s got his eyes set on Renleigh. While he’s a hot shot pitcher on the mound, he keeps striking out with her in the romance game. Their first encounter leaves him feeling more stunned than upset, which had me laughing hard by the way. He’s not a quitter. When they finally do go out, he realizes he’s in trouble. He’s falling hard and fast, but can he convince her that he’s not the stereotypical jock that just has flings. That her current life status won’t be permanent. That she can have the life she set out for, but with him as an added bonus. Will she give him that chance? Will she let others help her out with her dad? Will she live her life again? Read Easy Tiger to find out if they both will get a happy ending.

As both a baseball fan, and a Ginger Scott fan, I have been eagerly awaiting this new series! Easy Tiger was a great introduction to the Sweetwater Mavericks team and this small town.
Hunter Reddick is a #1 draft pick, and has all the swagger of one. He rolls into Sweetwater as a rookie, determined to make his time there short with hopes for a call-up to the majors as quickly as possible. Renleigh Blackwood is no stranger to baseball, daughter of the longtime Sweetwater HS baseball coach, and a bartender at the Mavericks watering hole. She's used to cocky baseball players and avoids interactions beyond what's required for serving drinks. As the primary caretaker for her father, she has no time for extracurricular activities.
But Hunter is both charming and considerate, taking Renleigh by surprise. After initially writing him off as an overconfident ball player looking for a hook-up, she finds herself falling for the pitcher who makes time for her, builds a relationship with her father, and talks of a future beyond his stint with the town's team.
Hunter won me over from the get-go! His patience and ability to help Renleigh reason through her fears and family drama was a highlight of this book.
I look forward to the next book- the author leaves us with some enticing hints on what's to come with this series!

- MMC is a baseball player
- He falls first
- One bed (sleeping bag)
- Small town romance

Renleigh has been living in Sweetwater for all her life. And working at a bar in Sweetwater she has seen her fair share of baseball players. They are good for one thing only: tips. But then Hunter Reddick comes along. He’s a first round pick, talk of the league and probably only in Sweetwater for a short amount of time before being called up into the big leagues. He starts to break down Renleigh’s walls and how knows - maybe a summer fling isn’t a bad idea. But Hunter is not after a summer fling. He wants falls and winters and something real.

Easy Tiger is book 1 of the The Boys of Sweetwater Springs series by Ginger Scott. It’s a standalone and I’m sure you can read it independently because book 2 will feature two other main characters.

I fell in love with Ginger Scott’s books while reading her The Waiting Series Next Generation series and I was so excited that she wrote another sports romance series and that it’s baseball. I think the world needs so much more baseball romance. And I really enjoyed Easy Tiger. I love the small town setting with a farm team rather than a MLB team, because it gave me a feeling of found home and found family. I just loved it. Renleigh is a great character. I loved her passion, her being there for the people she loves but also her growing throughout the story. Hunter is the most green flag when it comes to professional players in sports romances and I absolutely love him. His passion, his patience, his commitment. The love story is cute, entertaining and even though there isn’t a lot of suspense I still wasn’t able to put this book down because I needed to know what was in store for the two of them. And knowing what the next book in this series will bring us has me screaming in excitement. 😍

Loved it!
It’s so easy to see how much this author loves this sport. She writes with precision, knowledge and care.
Ms Scott’s characters are always real and as usual I instantly felt a connection with them both.

Hunter is number one draft pick and at first you think he’s going to be a bit cocky and over confident. But he very quickly shows his humble side and it also becomes apparent that he has the skill to back up the ego! I loved his relationship with Roddy..they made me chuckle!
Renleigh is feisty, a tough cookie and I loved her! She’s sarcastic, witty and loyal….especially to her father whom she shares a special bond with. She’s a grafter and doesn’t have time for her head to be turned by a player. She knows how it goes…one day they’re there the next they’re off chasing the big dream….but could this player be different from all the rest….

Hunter is absolutely perfect for Ren. He shows her so much respect, speaks the truth to her and gives her the space to come around to it in her own time!

Loved this and I can’t wait to get back to Sweetwater Springs for the rest of these guys to get their stories!

Easy Tiger was an amazing book!!! I loved the drama, angst, and spice in this book. I thought the characters were well written, the storyline was original, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. One of my favorite tropes is sports romance, and this book checked off all my favorite mini tropes. The bad boy/good girl and friends-to-lovers tropes. Ginger Scott is an amazing author. I love her creativity in her books. She brings out all the emotions, including excitement in the storyline, and has my heart on a rollercoaster ride of heartbreak, then groveling and swooning. This book was over before I wanted it to be over!!!

Renleigh was loyal to her family, caring, and stubborn. I loved her attitude and her selfless nature in this book. Hunter was cocky, arrogant, and a total player in the beginning. I enjoyed his slow transformation, especially when it came to Renleigh and his feelings for her. Their chemistry was intense and undeniable, and I loved their slow-burn romance and how it built throughout this book. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this new series!!! 4.5 stars-by Brooke

This is how you start a new series!! I seriously enjoyed this book from beginning to end! Hunter is a baseball pitcher with both a great arm and a heck of an ego. He knows he is good…he was a number one draft pick after all. What he was not expecting was to meet someone that gave it right back to him. But this is the minor leagues and he doesn’t expect to be here long…but can he still keep the girl? Renleigh has a lot on her plate. Her degree was forgotten because she needed to be there for her dad. Her mother and her don’t have the best relationship and the minor league baseball player literally drive her crazy. She knows these guys, they come and go…she never gets distracted by them. Then she meets Hunter and everything changes, in so many ways. This was a quick paced read that I seriously couldn’t read fast enough. The story sucked me in and held on tight. Hunter and Renleigh have sassy banter and perfect chemistry. They also trusted each other and most importantly learned from each other. Both characters had great depth and told a heck of a story. A story about putting yourself first sometimes and going after your dreams…no matter what they look like. I am Extremely excited for this series and can’t wait to read the next book. The side characters were just as entertaining as the main characters…. Can’t wait to read their stories.

No one prepare me for how awesome this romance would be, but with this gifted storyteller, I should have known. It's so freaking cute with the push and pull and the banter, but the depth of heart surprised and delighted me.

Hunter Reddick is an up-and-coming pitcher with the AAA Mavericks' team in Sweetwater, OK. Kenleigh Blackwood knows baseball and baseball players. She's lived in this town all her life and her father was the high school baseball coach. Which is why Kenleigh stays away from players.

But Hunter is determined. He waits it out until her no turns to yes and he slowly but surely wins the girl. But winning is only the beginning. Kenleigh has watched romantic relationships fail, and that makes her hesitant to take the leap.

Pretty sure Hunter and Kenleigh are my new top sports romance couple because their story is phenomenal. Witty, charming and a touch irreverent, but full of layers, vulnerabilities and emotion I couldn’t get enough of. Get this one and begin your next epic reading escape right away.

He’s not cocky, he’s confident. Hunter Reddick is good and he knows it.

Ginger Scott knocked it out of the park! 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙏𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙧 was the perfect balance of fun and flirty yet heartfelt and swoon worthy.

The teammate heart to hearts. The wisdom of an old coach [her father]. The emotions of the hotshot pitcher in the moments before being called up. The girl. This book made me smile.

Hunter was the exact opposite than what I expected. A hotshot pitcher that is self-aware, caring, driven, and understanding, yes please! Renleigh was just as lovable. The thrill of the chase had me giggling and was so darn sweet; the fall had me swooning over and over again. If you are looking for a short and sweet baseball romance, look no further, 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙏𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙧 is available now. 💜

💋Huge thanks to Ginger Scott and Wordsmith Pub for the ARC of 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙏𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙧.

I’m already hooked on this new baseball romance series. Renleigh and Hunter’s story is heartfelt, emotional, and everything I want from a great sports romance.
Hunter is the No. 1 draft pick, stuck in that frustrating in-between stage, waiting for his call-up to the majors. Renleigh is working behind a bar, guarded and closed off, carrying more responsibility than she should have to—especially when it comes to her family. She has walls for a reason and doesn’t trust easily.
The dynamic between them is so well done. He falls first, believes in the possibility of them, even when his career feels uncertain and everything is on the line. The emotional depth really stood out, balancing the sports angle with real-life struggles and vulnerability.
This series is off to a strong start, and I loved it. If you’re a fan of emotional, character-driven sports romances, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Easy Tiger is the first book in a new sports series written by Ginger Scott. I think this author is good at writing every sport, and even if baseball is the sport I like less she can make me love it through her skillful wrinting.

Hunter is in Sweetwater to play baseball in the minor waiting for a call up. Renleigh came back home to take care of her father. She is at peace with her life choices and she is sure no passing baseball player will wreck her routine, but Hunter will soon show her he has got the best game inside and outside of the field.

Hunter is a very nice guy, with a big ego that Renleigh takes down with her witty tongue. I adored their dynamic, their growing fondness for each other and their chemistry.

This story is cute, spicy, a little emotional and so much entertaining.

I can’t wait to read about the rest of the guys, especially a certain father and son that play for the same team.
