Me gustó más que el anterior. No hay un insta love, porque los personajes ya se conocen desde hace meses y ya han tenido varias interacciones.

Argumento:

Tilly regenta la ferretería local en Cheerful y se ha ganado la reputación de no tener miedo de decir lo que piensa. Es una excelente manera de mantener a la gente alerta, incluyendo al nuevo veterinario del pueblo. Se mudó al otro lado de la calle, y algo en su forma de sonreír le revuelve el estómago. Cuando él no para de hacer pedidos diarios para sus proyectos de renovación, empieza a preguntarse si es una excusa para estar a solas con ella.

Paxton solo tiene ojos para la pelirroja descarada del otro lado de la calle, pero cada vez que intenta hablar con ella, termina metiendo la pata. Cuando una tormenta de nieve invernal azota más rápido de lo previsto, la entrega habitual de Tilly a su casa termina con ella atrapada por la nieve con él. ¿Completamente sola, sin nada más que su desesperada necesidad de mantenerlos calientes? Parece la manera perfecta de sobrevivir la noche.

Mi humilde opinión:

Romance con atracción instantánea, crush secreto, vírgenes duales, pueblo pequeño.

La historia de amor de Tilly y Paxton fue dulce. Además de momentos con tiernos animales, Paprika es un nombre perfecto para un gato naranja y Dominick, el burrito rescatado era adorable! Los protagonistas eran personajes agradables, cada uno con su personalidad, Tilly era la marimacho pelirroja del pueblo que dice lo que piensa y Paxton es el veterinario sexy con un alma nerd. Podían ser estos dos mas despistados? Se gustaban y ni se enteraban. Después de unos malos entendidos durante una tormenta de nieve que los deja atrapados juntos por fin tienen la oportunidad de confesar lo que sienten por el otro.

Todo sucede rápido, es amor a primera vista y un para siempre como en todas las historias de AR. Me divertí leyendo la historia OTT de estos dos pero… se quedó corta con las vibras navideñas, mas todavía con la portada del librito y un pueblo llamado Cheerful, para mi gusto le falto festividad. Necesité que al menos Tilly ayudara a Paxton a decorar su casa. El final me gusto y el epilogo atrapando a Brian fue loco pero el tipo se lo merecía.

¡Me enamoré completamente de Paprika y de Dominick y eso hizo que la historia fuera mil veces mejor! ✨

¡Paxton! Definitivamente ese hombre vale mil 😍 lo amé demasiado y la manera en cómo sus nervios le jugaban una mala pasada cada vez que se acercaba a Tilly 😅 Pero, al final, el destino los juntó como debería de ser 🥰

This book is why I keep reading AR books even though a majority of them are garbage. I LOVED this one. Good writing, good characters, and a fully fleshed out story. Low-angst, a little dirty with a sweet story is my jam and this marked all the boxes.
