Newly appointed United States Senator, Apolo Choice embraces his new career with the same vigor he does everything in life, including his new bride.
Caitlyn Choice shares Apolo's enthusiasm, looking to help her husband make his mark with the one project that's important to both of them. People with disabilities.
Add to the mix meddling family members who crave the spotlight created by the handsome new senator's appointment. Sprinkle in the underbelly of Washington politics who dislike the billionaire, and are out to embarrass him before he gets started. This task made easier by a young reporter with his eyes on a Pulitzer by exposing a new senator and his bride's unusual lifestyle.
Leaving behind a staff in Atlanta, that think while the cat’s away the mice can play. How can Apolo and Caitlin focus on the job in Washington, when others at Choice Enterprises are taking advantage of an absent and preoccupied owner?
Apolo is determined to keep his new wife safe in spite of all of the outside forces working to bring their world crashing down.
Enjoyed reading more about Apolo and Caitlyn's lives. Warning - same as with book 1, it ends with the words "the end" but should be "to be continued". I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This story tells us about Apollo and Caitlyn. Apollo is a self made billionaire, very successful and powerful, and by all accounts hot as well. He has a very dominate nature and is very protective of Caitlyn and this is not easy when you have a mother like Caitlyn's, Jesus, reading about that woman drove me nuts. Caitlyn's mother is called Susan Pickett White and likes to be the centre of attention, if the spotlight isn't on her she is not happy but not only that she's very selfish and sly, under handed in her tactics to ruin her own daughter's wedding day. All I wanted through the whole story was for them never to have contact with her again, she was bad news. Apollo has his own worries with family members, namely his brother Anthony, actually speaking of bothers, Caitlyn's brother is not much better. Who needs enemies when you have family members trying to destroy you at every turn. So Apollo has a successful business and has made senator, he has a beautiful wife, Caitlyn and not many people he can trust apart from Jacob, the poor guy has people at every turn trying to destroy him both financial and personally. I found out that Apollo has a disability, this part makes me wish I had of read book one in the series and found out most of the facts before delving into book two. So I do suggest anyone wishing to read this book they start at the beginning. One thing is very clear, while reading this story no matter what life throws in Apollo and Caitlyn's way, they have each others backs and love each other very dearly. This book doesn't leave you on a cliff hanger but it does leave lots of unanswered questions. I did enjoy this read, I hope I find time to read book one so I can understand a lot more about how Apollo and Caitlyn's relationship began. There will definitely be a book three, this story is far from over.

When we start Choice Affairs, it starts right where the first book stopped. Apollo and Caitlyn have just gotten engaged and are happily in love. But it doesn't take long before the road bumps start happening. Can they make it through together or will all the bumps pull them off track?
The book was action packed and it kept you on the edge of your seat just wanting to know how things would play out. There were attempted kidnapping, paparazzi, crazy family members and embezzlement. It really tested Apollo and Caitlyn’s relationship and you get to go through and experience these trials with them. It made them a more realistic couple. In book one; everything happened so fast that you didn’t really get to see them as a couple much. But with the second book, you really saw the couple grow. The only thing I didn't like was that nothing got resolved and it ended on such a cliff. When we came into this book, we had so many questions but when we left it, we had even more.
Apolo Choice has just been appointed senator and the problems are already starting. He and Caitlyn wanted to focus on projects for people with disabilities but that's hard to do when family members keep causing drama. On top of that something strange is going on at Choice Enterprises that needs Apolo's immediate attention and the press has only gotten more insatiable for news of the handsome young senator and his new bride.
Book two in the Southern Heat Series is full of intrigue. Apolo and Caitlyn have problems coming at them from all directions. Caitlyn's mother Susan is up to her old tricks. I won't say anything beyond that because I don't want to give anything away.
Jamie Salisbury does an excellent job bringing you into her world. I read Choice Affairs in one day. I couldn't put it down. It just flows so well and I needed to know what was going to happen next.
Choice Affairs continues the story of Caitlyn and Apolo, a couple you have to love. Their devotion to each other is a huge component in their story. Apolo Choice has taken a senate seat, and that's when things start getting interesting. Although I loved the first book, Choice Matters, I love this one even more. I enjoy Caitlyn's mother because she's one of those characters you love to hate. This book is a combination of love and intrigue, sweetness and heat. I like the way the Choice couple rises to the challenge, no matter what comes their way.
