Rock Solid is a sexy, rollicking ghost story that links 2 different The Brantons (that starts with Body Work) and Perdition House…An Erotic Saga.
Rock Solid was previously published (2007) by Kensington Books in the anthology Built.

Lexa Creighton is a descendent of a couple who worked at Perdition House in its early years. She’s heard rumors about the house all her life. Little does she know that just because her ancestors are dead, it doesn’t mean they won’t mess with her life. Especially her sex life!
When Jake meets Lexa, sparks fly because of his family love at first touch. But with the spirits of Perdition House interfering, his pursuit of a life with Lexa gets…complicated.
For Lexa, their incredible encounters are all about ghosts tweaking their libidos, while Jake is already in love.
Jake has his work cut out for him, but can Lexa learn her lessons from her meddling ancestors?

Rock Solid, by Bonnie Edwards, is a wonderfully creative tale about a Victorian mansion with a mind of its own. This mansion, complete with a resident matchmaking ghost, loves to call people at very odd hours of the early morning to schedule appointments for work appraisals. These appraisals are actually opportunities for two people from different parts of the world to meet one another. The house also heightens sexual desire in those on its premises. This was a fun and fanciful tale that was very well-written. 4*
I received a copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions within this review are my own.
Perdition House has been rumored to be a very sensual place, a place where list abounds, and the spirits of post residents add to the canal feelings between two people. At one point in history Perdition House was a bordello, and it's said that the girls spirits live on to fulfill their life long dreams before moving on. These spirits will do whatever they can to connect two should meant to be together, even if it's making a phone call on the middle of the night.
Jake MacKay,a well respected carpenter in Florida, received one of those phone calls asking for his help in remodeling the old Victorian in Seattle. For reasons he didn't understand at the time, he dropped everything he was working on and was on the next flight out to Seattle. Upon his arrival at Perdition House he came across a very beautiful woman and sparks flew from the first handshake, this lovely woman was Lexa Creighton.
Lexa lived a stones throw away from Perdition House, she works as a landscape designer with emphasis on Heritage plants. She too received a phone call in the middle of the night asking for her expertise on redoing the gardens. Lexa's great-grandparents met many years ago at Perdition and lived a happy love filled life of marriage. Lexa admired everything they went through to be together since she first heard the stories as a child, but know that her life was too busy and demanding for her to live that dream just yet.
Shortly after their arrival Lexa and Jake were left alone to explore the property and give estimates on what needed improving. The current owner of the home, Faye, was the granddaughter of the original owner, Belle. Belle had the house built to her specifications and insisted on only the best. Lexa and Jake quickly realized just how much the spirits could influence their behaviors, they weren't able to keep their hands of one another and almost immediately submitted to carnal bliss.
Jake and Lexa thought there was more chemistry between them than just that which the house was inducing, but couldn't be sure unless they left the property. But would the house let them leave? What would they do if there was more? Could they give up their jobs to be together? Or would life step between what could have blossomed?
This story is one of wonder and excitement, of love and chance, one of endless possibilities of only given the chance. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review, and I can honestly say I'm glad I got the opportunity to read such a heart warming, panty melting story full of lust and longing. Though I thoroughly enjoyed it, I did feel like there was something that it was missing. Something I can't completely put my finger on. The characters and plot were well developed and the story flowed well, but still I feel it needed a little more. If you're looking for a steamy paranormal love story then this is one to add to your list of future reads.

Jake gets a late night call to come to Seattle from Florida to do some work on a Victorian house. Lexa gets a similar call to work on the gardens. When Jake and Lexa meet, sparks fly, and the previous inhabitants of the get up to mischief. Is it Jake's family curse, or the ghosts of the brothel making them feel this way??
Cute, really really cute!
Ghosts who use the only physical connection they have to their old life play havoc with people's sex lives in the manor!
Billed as eroitca (and I've made a new shelf!) it certainly delivers on that front! Jake and Lexa get to it hours after meeting, neither can deny the attraction of the other. Will that attraction still hold when they leave?? It most certainly does!
Just over 100 pages, its a perfect lucnh break, bath tub, clear your head sort of book. Not too complicated, not major twists or turns, just a really cute, sexy read!
Its book three and I've not read books one or two, but I'd like to at some point, I'm curious about Faye, the lady of the house.

This was my first read by Mrs. Edwards and it won't be my last. She keeps the pages hot and I wasn't able to put it down, I just had to keep reading to find out what happens next. I love the characters in the book and how great she tells the story. I'm definitely be reading #1 and #2 in this series as well!
I really enjoyed the concept behind this book. Who wouldn't love to read about horny matchmaking ghosts. This was a very hot steamy read with a little bit of sweetness mixed in. I'm looking forward to going back and reading the first two books in the series.
There's a very erotic place, Perdition House, where spirits of the place enhance what's between two people. It used to be a bordello. The spirits of the girls there stay on to fulfill their dreams... and sometimes yours. So when Jake, a carpenter takes a call in the middle of the night to fix some things there, he doesn't understand why, but he goes. He needs to. Flies across the country to get there. He meets Lexa there, and sparks fly. Lexa is the lanscaper in the area and she lives near. She gets the same call as Jake, and she goes. She knows some of the secrets and rumors- her grandparents being one of those couples.
With all of this flying around, Jake and Lexa come to understand just how much power the spirits can have. And Belle, the owner helps keep them there to finish their jobs while the spirits work their magic. :) It's kinda creepy and kind cool all at the same time. This one is more in the erotic genre for me, instead of just paranormal romance, but it's still ok. I was such a sweet story. The spirits and the hauntings, and the weird way things are. And is it just the magic of the house and spirits, or is it really real between Jake and Lexa? I enjoyed this one, and though it maybe wasn't my favorite of the set, it was a great addition to it. I would still recommend it, especially if you are looking for a heart warming erotic, sensual, steamy romance! Yeah, it's a good one!
