The Trail Provides: Finding Peace and Purpose Along the Path

Rate this book
On a self-imposed rite of passage, a young man—tired of the soul-numbing corporate world and “doing what's expected of him”—embarks on a solo journey to discover… what exactly? His purpose, his passion?

Why he's so angry at the world? Why he feels so lost and confused? Why he seems to be endlessly searching, seeking…looking for answers to questions he doesn't even know how to ask?

And along the way, he discovers much more than he ever thought possible—by taking a walk through the woods, across the country, alone.

Each step guiding him farther from home, but closer to himself.
To truth. To peace.

“The Trial Provides” is a deeply honest memoir about shedding expectations, facing the silence within, and finding meaning one step at a time.

An incredible journey and achievement documented by a down to earth soul. This story reveals how we can find true meaning in the simple, in the complex and the in between all the same. Miller’s written experience of his time on the Appalachian Trail is unique but also powerful in its delivery providing life lessons for anyone at any age. I wish I could have read it sooner.
