Hello! And thanks for checking out my books! I've written two mystery novels so far. My first, Dead Locked, is about Imogen Bell who works for a team of underwater archaeologists and ends up embroiled in a deadly treasure hunt. My second mystery, The Jester's Apprentice, is about Philippa, a woman caught between her new husband Edric and his smoky past - and hers.
I've always loved mysteries, even in elementary school. My mother raised me on TV show reruns like Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, and Magnum, P.I, and later I picked up her Agatha Christie addiction.
However, sometimes I just want a hot (but intelligent) guy and a strong woman bantering for pages. Or a gripping action sequence. Or some fun sci-fi/fantasy elements. And sometimes I want it all in the same book. So with mystery as the backbone of my stories, I blend in romance, action, adventure, and soon sci-fi to keep it fresh and exciting.
Why should you take a chance on my books? Well, I write what I'm passionate about, and I'm passionate about people and mysteries. I make my characters passionate too: about each other, about what they're hunting, fixing, or piecing together. Above all, I want my readers to have fun, and leave happy!
Belinda and Bennett are walking along the beach and come across a painting washed up from the sea that Belinda recognizes as one a local artist had painted. While eating with Jonas and her college friend Ardith, a body is spotted floating out at sea. Are the body and the painting related, or is it just a coincidence.
Trying to find out more about her friends painting, Belinda runs across several more deaths related to the painting, as well as a former stalker. getting close to discovering the murderer, Belinda almost loses her own life.
This is the forth book in the Belinda and Bennett series. It continues to meet the standards that Amy set in the first story with well defined characters, a strong plot, and a good bit of humor to keep a light mood throughout the story.
Since this is my first Belinda and Bennett story, it took me a while to figure out the characters and some of the back story; I wish I had read the previous books as it would have made my personal reading more enjoyable. Having said that, this was a “sweet” romance book with a new mystery for these two to help solve. It was fun and light, a nice change from heavier reading. I did enjoy the secondary characters – poor Jonas doesn’t know what is about to hit him, at least in my humble opinion. Belinda pokes her nose into his life and it is sending him in circles. Very fun! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I will pick up the other books in the series so I can get the full back story AND to figure out what Belinda and Bennett will get into next.
