Desperate, she attempts to pick a man's pocket as he enters The Borough's Lounge. But her plan is foiled when the man catches her in the act.


Xander Conti, manager of The Borough's Lounge, is taken aback when he feels someone trying to pick his pocket. Without hesitation, he is ready to defend himself. But when he sees a thin and dirty girl, his anger deflates. He grabs her arm, and an unexpected electric shock shoots through his body.


Feeling the shock as well, Lacey's inner polar bear says that Xander is their fated mate and he will protect them. But as their relationship grows, danger lurks in the shadows, threatening to tear them apart.

About the author

I started my journey as a reader but quickly learned how much I enjoyed everything about romance, so I picked up the pen in 2017 and haven't looked back. Writing various genres, paranormal romance is my go-to. However, I do have a few mysteries and contemporary romances under my belt.

My favorite books involve characters that aren't perfect and have room to grow or a good mystery you can't easily solve. With each new book, I keep this in mind and enjoy creating complex worlds where my characters take the stage.

When I am not creating fantastic new worlds for my readers to get lost in, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two rescue dogs, Sammie and Jake.

This book was a very interesting read , and such a wonderful ending..
Xander - Alexander who had 3 brothers and twin sisters and eventually found his future with
Lacey , she was a polar bear shifter who was tricked into her shifter form and smelled her mate but couldn't do anything about it..
A lot happened to her and her family and many other shifters..
Thankfully she and Xander did meet and eventually became mates and their world was Amazingly filled with LOVE and happiness...

If you enjoy shifter stories then you will truly enjoy this story...

What a fantastic read, as soon as I started reading I knew that this was going to be a book that I could not book down. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for the story and the characters are so life like that you feel as though you know them. No matter waht happens you want to see then succeed in their desires, even if they feel uncertain as they are stepping out of their normal. This book needs to be read, no doubt about it.

Caged Desire completely pulled me in Lacey’s fight to survive on the streets feels raw and real, and the moment she and Xander connect is electric, both literally and emotionally. As Callum Lambart, I loved watching their bond grow through danger and uncertainty, making their story both thrilling and heartfelt.

Caged Desire by K.R. Hall is a sweet and sassy tale of love and danger for a small town girl in the big city and a big city guy who loves polar bears. This is a heartwarming tale that had me rooting for Lacey and Xander and flipping pages ever faster to get to their HEA.
