okay… I really wanted to like this book because the premise sounded so interesting, but I just couldn’t get into it. 😭😭 There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the story or the writing it’s totally me, not the book. 😅 I’ve never been much of a fantasy reader, but I thought I’d give it another shot because it sounded so good. In the end, it just didn’t click for me, and that’s completely on my side. 😔 Even though it wasn’t for me, I’m sure anyone who enjoys fantasy will have a great time with it ✨📚

I have no clue what to expect with this. I’m not a fantasy girl at all so I’m hoping for the best 🤞🏼
Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that is about to be released on January 14th called, Realm of Stone and Starlight. This is the fourth and final book in the Heirs of Elydor series. This story is about Lyra, she is tasked with going to retrieve the final relic from the clan who doesn't believe in what they're doing, which is trying to reopen the gate between realms. So she has to convince Prince Terran to help her retrieve the relic, but Terran is loyal to his father and king. Terran and Lyra have known each other a long time, and there has always been underlying attraction between them. Now they're older and that attraction has only grown stronger and is now even harder to resist, but they believe in different things. Lyra needs to convince Terran that he is on the wrong side of things and go against his father/the king so they can get the relic and finally reopen the gate to reconnect the realms. First off, I am so sad this is the final book, I loved this series so much! It's such a great romantasy series! Second, I loved this book, it was so well written and wrapped up this series so beautifully. I loved the world building throughout this series, it was very entertaining and easy to understand. The magic and the clans were so cool, I loved each book learning more about different clans and their powers! I loved all the characters throughout this series, how some were enemies, some were lifelong friends, and now they're all a solid group who stand as one and support each other. This was such an incredible romantasy series and I'm so sad it's over! ❤️📚
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for this ARC of Realm of Stone and Starlight, in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved Realm of Stone and Starlight. It’s a sweeping, emotionally rich fantasy that blends forbidden love, ancient magic, and political tension in a way that completely pulled me in. The world feels layered and alive, shaped by inherited hatred, fragile alliances, and a looming destiny that weighs heavily on every decision.
Terran is deeply conflicted—hardened by duty and expectation—while Lyra is fierce, guarded, and quietly powerful. Their connection is full of tension and tenderness, built on stolen moments and dangerous trust. I loved how their romance felt both fragile and inevitable, especially as secrets surface and loyalties begin to fracture.
What stood out most to me was the exploration of choice versus destiny. The stakes are high, the emotions run deep, and every decision carries weight. Realm of Stone and Starlight is a captivating, heartfelt fantasy romance that I couldn’t put down and truly loved from start to finish.
This story was gripping from start to finish, and you really do fall in love with the characters. I’ll be interested to see whether there will be more books in the series, as the ending didn’t leave a huge amount of room for continuation, though I’d happily be proven wrong.
Each book in the series focuses on different characters and clans, which makes it easy to keep track of the world and avoids things feeling repetitive. This installment had a great balance of romance, enemies to lovers tension, politics, and rich world building.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of this author’s work.
Arc review A quick and easy read. The story is fast past and really focusses on the two main charcters with very little side plot. The secondary characters are more developed in theirr own books but still have some presence here. As you enter the story you know straight away how the MMC and FMC feel about each other and easily follow their journey.
The friends try to open the Aetherian Gate but need all the artefacts to do so. The only missing one is the stone from Gyoria. So Lady Lyra is set on the quest to get it from the king who hates humans more than anything else in Elydor and is responsible for closing the Gate once. Terran is the heir and still can´t believe that his twin brother betrayed them all and left their kingdom. He is also not willing to really accept, that there is something between Lady Lyra, an Aetherian noblewoman, and him and he suspects, that she has her own agenda coming into his kingdom. Soon he learns that his father lied and not everything is as it seems and soon he must decide what he is willing to do for the woman he has feelings for.
I really enjoyed stepping into the world of Elydor again! I think you should know the series to understand what happened so far and the friendships and the trust within the group.
Lyra I already liked from the other books and I really liked to read her story yet. That she takes on the task to visit the kingdom of Gyoria with a king who hates humans so much, which you can´t trust and who is so cruel is well written. She has her own agenda as spy for the others who want to re open the Gate. She knows she needs Terran and his support but is set to gaining his trust and help without manipulation. I liked very much how this was written. I loved getting to know Terran here. So far he was dark, cruel but I had the feeling there is so much more to his character than what we read so far. Due to this I really liked to read his story here and how we get to know him and how he changes when he understands what his father did, how he lied and manipulated. I enjoyed reading how the feelings these two have change bit by bit and the spice we have in this book was fine for me.
As already in the other books we have the whole picture here not only the concentration on these 2 characters so I liked to read about the others again and that we have the quest to re open the Gate again.
For me a great mix about fantasy romance with enemies to lovers theme but also about mistrust and hate which are part of this series and how groups try to change this, unit the world of Elydor again and to have peace. The quest we have in the books in obtaining the artefacts which an re open the Gate is nice written and I really enjoyed reading about this.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an e-arc of this book!
I have been an arc reader for all 4 books of this series and it’s only gotten better and better each book!
While each book follows a new couple, there is an overall plot going on so it’s important to read books 1-3 in order.
Book 4 follows Lyra and Terran, who we’ve met in previous books. Terran is Prince and heir of Gyoria (and also Kael from book 1’s twin brother). Lyra is an emissary to Aetheria and one of the strongest on that note. Lyra is working with Mev, Kael, and everyone else from the previous books to get a hold of all 3 relics to reopen the gate to the human realm. Each kingdom has their own respective relic and they need Gyoria’s lastly. Gyoria is the kingdom that hates humans the most. Terran one of those at the top of the list. Disease that humans brought killed his mother. And for his twin, Kael, to not only be friendly to them but fall in love with a half human, is an ultimate betrayal to their mother’s memory.
Lyra walks into Gyoria under the guise of inter-kingdom politics but Terran has known Lyra for too long to know she has an ulterior motive. On top of it, their push pull relationships over the decades is poise to come to a head if only they get out of their own way. But Terran can’t trust her, even when she tries to open his eyes to the madness his father has brought to the realm and how humans are truly the balance they need.
Terran and Lyra’s chemistry is so insane in this book! Each book, I feel each couple has gotten more and more intense! 🥵 While they may believe they are enemies, these 2 have longed for one another for so long, it’s like waiting for the water to finally boil!
Since book 1, the spice 🌶️ in the remaining books have been significantly more and written well. I think Lyra and Terran may be my favorite (sorry Rowan and Nerys, you’re a CLOSE second). Lyra is someone who always needs control but let me tell you, when it comes to Terran, she’s willing to let it go in the bedroom 🥵 the writing for the spice was so hot 🥵
I’ve loved being an arc reader for this entire series and was glad to see the overall story progress throughout all the books and each couple add a component to it, so every book and couple is relevant.
I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me the absolute privilege of being able to arc read this book. I truly appreciate it.
The epic conclusion to a truly amazing series is finally here and you're going to love it! If you've been a fan of this series from the start, you're only going to have your heart broken only because it's over. However once it releases you'll be able to read it all again and again and never have to leave this world!
Watching Terran's heart-wrenching growth wass truly magical, and seeing Lyra finally find everything that makes her feel complete was so beautiful. But what was even more beautiful was how this book expanded on the vividness that C.L. Mecca can create, the friendships and the found family within, the relationship between Terran and Lyra and absolutely the conclusion. If you wanted a truly happily ever after for every single one of our favourite characters it's here, and the only issue is that despite it being over you're still going to want more! Maybe just a tiny little glimpse into the future for all of them, because I never wanted it all to end.
Yes you can completely read this book and the others on its own, but reading in order from start to finish will give you a world, a family, and comfort you're not going to want to leave. However no matter where you start you most definitely will always find spice, a breathtaking story and world and an incredible romance!
If you're a fan of found family, romantasy, a fantasy with a mystifing elemental magic system that runs parallel to our world, or you even just want to dip your toes into a romantasy genre you're going to absolutely love this book and this series! If you finish this book and you love some of those elements and so many more too you're going to absolutely love anything written under C.L Mecca's name Cecelia Mecca or under her other pen name Cissy Mecca!
Thank you so very much again from the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate it! I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait until I can bring it home!
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read this ARC.
⭐⭐⭐.5
Overall, I enjoyed this story very much. I liked all of the characters, their interactions and the romance between Lyra and Terran. The world felt intriguing and rich with detail, and the magic system was interesting to me.
Realm of Stone and Starlight is book 4 of the Heirs of Elydor series, but was stated to be an interconnected standalone that could be read independently of the other books. Whilst technically this is possible and is what I did, the books do assume you have a basic level of knowledge from the previous titles, not fully explaining concepts within the world and characters already having pre existing connections, conversations and relationships that are missed out on. This is undoubtedly a MUCH stronger book when read in the correct series order, and I would recommend they are read first. I plan to go back and read the other 3 as I did feel some things went over my head and the romance felt unearned when you didn’t have 3 more books of interaction as it seemed more like insta love instead of enemies to lovers.
The stakes are low in this book, and the conflict resolved very quickly (which again may only feel this way as it is book 4) but being hardwired for more high stakes fantasy reads, I was expecting the other shoe to drop, a betrayal, characters in danger, but instead we had a conflict that lasted one page and then a lot of character arc completions and tying up of loose ends. When you consider the closing out of a wider story, the pacing makes more sense, but defeating the big bad in one page was a bit disappointing. It could have done with being a good 100 pages longer with a more baked conflict.
That said, I did still enjoy my read. I was instantly locked in by chapter 5 and it was an incredibly easy read, fun, good level of spice and most of my feedback surrounds the fact it’s marketed as an interconnected standalone where I believe the other books should be read first as it finishes the major plot line of the previous books.
This is one of those stories that you can't wait to read the ending, but you don't want the book to end. Outstanding!
This story felt like C.L. Mecca completely immersed herself into sculping a tale to remember! I dub this, "A must read!". So far, this is my favorite book in the series. My favorite place was Thalassaria with the way this author described it.
I loved this series, one where both a man and a woman can have power. And sometimes, *wink* she has power over him too!
I was looking forward to Terran's story since book 1 when Kael (his brother) spoke about him being very serious and loyal to his father, Balthor. It's exciting to watch the hard edges soften when a man such as this meets the right woman. And in this case, it was a joy to read. Who doesn't love a strong, muscular warrior prince ready to command his people? And maybe her. Terran is all of this and so much more.
Lyra, I also loved from the first book on. One who was one of the most skillful with her powers and was constantly practicing to hone her talents. I adored her the moment she chose to help Mev sharpen her powers, which was all new to her in book 1. Her attraction/connection with Terran was undeniable. The reader knows where the realtionship is going. It's the journey there that will require patience......mainly on the reader's part.
Moral of the story to me: Sometimes it takes extraordinary strength to overcome hate and the history of hate but with peace being the reward, no risk to too great. (A lesson to learn in our own times.)
I was offered an ARC by the publisher and couldn't wait to post my review!! Outstanding read, highly recommend. Please join me in keeping a bug in Cecelia's ear to continue this series!!
This is the final book in the Heirs of Elydor series and it's a brilliant depiction of love, attraction, mistrust and giving up your power.
Lyra had known Kael and Terran for decades if not centuries. Her parents to their fathers court before he sealed off the portal to Earth. The attraction between her and Terran has always bubbled just below the surface but with his father's actions and subsequently Kael and Terran's actions, they never acted on that attraction. But here she is, in the middle of his father's court and most definitely up to something!
Lyra is determined to have Terran join their little rebellion and she really needs him to steal the stone of Mor'vallis. But she doesn't want to lie to him or manipulate him - seduce him either. She doesn't want to use their mutual attraction to lie to him. So how will she get him to do the right thing?
Aetheria and Gyoria may have very different outlooks and attitudes towards the humans in their lands but that means nothing in the face of love between the heir of one kingdom and a spy from another. I've loved watching the rebellion take form, gathering the relics to re-open the door to Earth for Mev to return home - even for only a short time. Terran really has a hard time trusting anyone and with a father like his it's hardly surprising. But as his father tips further into madness, he feels he has no other option than to join Lyra and the others.
Terran and Lyra have chemistry that's an inferno! These two have circles and yearned for each other but been thwarted by timing, traditions and cruelty from his father. Lyra is not the woman to sit around and wait for rescue, she'll rescue herself and everyone else around her! Terran is a master at getting Lyra to release all that in charge attitude and just be Lyra.
There is spice in this book but it's not over the top and there's actually way more "hand clench" moments than spice I think. I really enjoyed the ending as it ties up all my loose ends but not everyone got a HEA or the outcome that they wanted, a bit like real life. There is definitely more that could be unearthed in this world and I'd happily return for more.
Thank you to NetGalley and author C. L. Mecca for the opportunity to read this eARC in exchange for my honest thoughts. I’m so glad I got to read it. 💖

🌙 Review: Realm of Stone and Starligh #04 𓍊𓋼𓍊 3 ☆
🗡 Update (01/12/25)
❝I will have you begging before this game is through, Lyra. Do not test me on this.❞
❥๑━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━๑❥
I’m always a bit hesitant to start a book that’s part of a series without having read the previous ones. There’s that fear of being lost, right? But with Realm of Stone and Starlight, the experience was quite smooth. The author’s writing is very gentle and easy to follow, which allowed me to get into the rhythm of Elydor without much trouble.
If you like stories where things happen one after another, this book is for you. The pace is very fast—sometimes maybe too fast—and the plot doesn't waste time. On one hand, it’s great because it never gets boring; on the other, everything seems to happen in the blink of an eye. It was a fun experience, the kind that works perfectly as a 'palate cleanser' between heavier reads.
While I didn't feel a 'profound impact' from the main couple, the side characters sparked a genuine curiosity in me. I liked the group dynamic enough that I might consider reading the previous volumes later. The romance is there and does its job, but what sustains the book for me is how easy it is to read and the agility of the narrative. In the end, it’s an honest read—perfect for when you want something light and fast-paced.
A tidy finale that closes the story without shaking it.
This final installment follows Terran and Lyra, formal enemies and both seemingly long aware of the pull between them. Lyra finally acts on that attraction—but less out of passion and more as a strategic choice to complete her mission: drawing Terran away from his father’s side, where he has stood dutiful and obedient for decades.
That arc, much like the book itself, felt a bit too straightforward. Resistance fades quickly, decisions come easily, and major developments unfold with little friction. Most notably, the death of the Gyorian king felt anticlimactic—especially after the joining of the brothers. No last words, no explanations, no final reckoning. It simply happens, and the story moves on.
As a series conclusion, this is a solid and well-rounded ending. Threads are tied up, character journeys are complete, and nothing feels rushed or careless. Still, I missed tension and complexity—the kind that makes a finale linger rather than quietly close the door.
And then there’s the scent. I’m still not entirely sure what Terran smells like. At times it’s land, strength, warrior; then suddenly bergamot with something darker—cedar and spice; elsewhere rain-cooled stone and the metallic tang of magic. Individually evocative, collectively indecisive.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) A good, cohesive conclusion—satisfying enough, but safer and simpler than I hoped for.
Realm of Stone and Starlight is one of those stories that quietly pulls you in, not with noise or spectacle, but with a steady, enchanting sense of atmosphere. From the first chapter, there’s a feeling of stepping into a world shaped by old magic, shifting loyalties, and the kind of slow-burn tension that keeps you turning pages long after you meant to stop.
What I loved most is how grounded the fantasy feels. The worldbuilding isn’t dumped on you — it unfolds naturally, like overhearing pieces of a whispered history. The characters carry that same lived‑in quality. They’re flawed in the right ways, brave in the unexpected ones, and their relationships have that delicious mix of friction and tenderness that makes you root for them.
The pacing is gentle but purposeful. It’s the kind of book that rewards you for lingering: noticing the glint of starlight on stone, the weight of unspoken truths, the quiet moments that say more than the dramatic ones. And when the plot does tighten, it does so with intention — every twist feels earned.
Overall, this is a beautifully crafted, quietly immersive fantasy that feels perfect for readers who love character‑driven stories, soft magic, and worlds that feel ancient and alive. It’s the sort of book you settle into, rather than race through, and it leaves you with that warm, satisfied ache of having lived somewhere else for a while.
With thanks to C L Mecca, the publisher and netgalley for the ARC
Thank you LBT for having me on this review tour and for my gifted copy of this epub.
So sad this is the last book in this series in this book we follow Lyra, she is tasked with going to retrieve the final relic from the clan that doesn't believe in what they're doing, which by the way is trying to open the gate between the realms I mean can you imagine that trying to do something and they don’t believe?? Would be rough that’s for sure. Enter Prince Terran who Lyra has to convince to help her get to that relic but he’s really loyal to his father and king. Yeah posed a problem but these two have known each other for a long time and the attraction they have is strong I feel like it’s only gotten stronger as they’ve gotten older. The tension is real that’s for sure!!!
I loved how this ended like it was so so good. The writing is extra special and the world building is wow just I feel like this could be made into a tv series or a movie. I could just picture it all so clearly. I love all the groups all stand and support one another now. They have all come together and it’s so cool !!! All the characters are so well done.
Overall I beee more by this author for sure !! Can’t wait to see what’s next !!!
Ms. Mecca never disappoints under any of her pen names but I love this series set in Elydor! This is the second book from this series that I have read and I fell in love with the characters. Prince Terran is heir to Gyoria and has believed his father, the King, throughout his reign even to the point that it has separated him from his brother. Lady Lyra is from the Aetherian clan and has gone to visit Terran to see if she can obtain his help to open the gate to the human world that his dad had maliciously closed in his anger. Lyra never thought the attraction she held for Terran would increase while she attempts to encourage him to assist his brother and his wife to open the gate. Terran himself feels attraction and his fierce facade is starting to break around her as you see him smile and jest with her. As the race against time and his father to get all the relics together, unrest occurs. Is there a chance for Lyra and Terran? Will they be able to get the Gate open and will it stay open? The suspense made we want to not put the book down and then upset when I had finished it. Loved the character. The story kept me enthralled
Realm of Stone and Starlight, the fourth and final book in the Heirs of Elydor series, focuses on Terran, heir to the Gyorian throne, and Lyra, an Aetherian ambassador. Lyra is sent to Gyoria to retrieve an artifact needed to open the gate to the human realm, and the growing attraction between her and Terran complicates both their mission and their hearts: “I had been trained to exploit weakness. The trouble was learning where his ended and mine began.”
Each book in the series highlights a different couple, and I loved watching Terran and Lyra’s relationship heat up while catching up on familiar characters from the previous novels. The pacing was a bit uneven in places, with some scenes wrapped up quicker than I expected, which sometimes made the romance feel prioritized over action—but for romantasy lovers, this is unlikely to be a problem.
As always with this series, I became attached to the characters, and it’s bittersweet to reach the end. A satisfying conclusion to a beautifully crafted world, full of magic, romance, and intrigue.
Thank you to C.L. Mecca, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC.
This is the final book in the trilogy and what a slam-bang finish! I love that the characters take on the personalities, dress, food, and magic that characterize their clan; be it stone/earth, air/sky, water or human. As in the other 2 books, a cross-clan romance threatens to unbalance the world of Elydor. Or to heal the recent past that is full of hatred and mistrust between the clans. This book is full of intrigue, adventure, suspense and love as Terran and Lyra are on a quest for the stone of power for the Gyorian clan. The enemies-to-lovers romance between opposites Terran and Lyra is a slow burn but full of passion and feeling as two confident and powerful individuals give up some power to each other. There is also plenty of magic, secrets and danger here as the plot builds to an explosive ending. It is best if you read the previous two books in the series to gain a full appreciation of the events in this final tale that brings to mind The Lord of the Rings quest. I volunteered to read and review an early copy because I had to know how it ended!
This had a lot of elements I usually really enjoy, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. I didnt realise that this book sits within a larger series. Because of that, I felt like I was missing some key background details, which made it harder for me to feel fully immersed in the world and story. I know this my was fault rather than the book. I also dont feel like its a true enemies to lovers romantasy, it felt more like friends to lovers between characters from different clans, which isn't a bad trope just not what I was expecting. I did however really enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters, the world and the magic elements. I just found myself wishing for a bit more action and tension to keep things moving.
While this one wasn’t a personal favourite, I think readers who are already familiar with the series or who enjoy gentler, romance forward fantasy may have a great time with it.
This entire series has been incredible and not at all what I expected. The characters although part of a magical world have been so real and relatable you can truly immerse yourself in their stories. I mean honestly I'd be ready to pack my bags tomorrow if I had the chance. Lyra and Terran I had a feeling coming up to this last book that they might be our finale couple. And honestly I wasn't sure if I liked the idea or not. But I should not have been surprised Mrs. Mecca brought us two more strong characters who made formidable opponents and even better love interests. Both Terran and Lyra have to go through so much growth and change for their people, for the greater good and finally for each other in an effort to save their homes. Full of action, adventure, plenty of banter, arguing, debating, tension, magic, and heat, you won't want to miss a single word. I have voluntarily left this review.
Thank you to Net Galley and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read this ARC.
4/5 stars! I loved this book and wanted more which brings me to my first point.... I did not know that this was a series (Heirs of Elydor) and strongly feel like this was perfectly enjoyable as a standalone. The things that lacked for me was world building and character/relationship development BUT this may be because those things could have happened in previous books. However, in this book, the plot felt very rushed. The enemies to lovers were QUICK and the MMC also immediately moved sides without much push back. While I enjoyed that there weren't any slow sections, I also would have appreciated more depth and development in these areas. Overall, loved and would recommend to anyone. Will be reading the series!
I am so sad that this series has come to an end. I’ve been so invested in this story since I read Whisper of War and Storms almost a year ago. This series is perfect for relative newbies to the world of fantasy/romantasy like me.
Lyra is sent to Gyoria to find the relic Princess Mev needs to open the walls to get back to the human world. She also needs to get Terran to see things from her side, without falling for him. Easier said than done. Their connection is clear from the beginning and I loved watching them come together.
I definitely think these books need to be read in order. Each on picks up right where the last one ends.
Everyone one of Cecilia’s books I’ve read I’ve loved, and this one is no exception. Being a part of her Inner Circle is such a privilege.
Thank you NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Love Books Tours for my copy of this book.
An enemies to lovers romance that has building in the background, characters you’ll love, a plot you can’t help but want to know what’s going to happen next and just enough spice to keep the chemistry between our main characters turned all the way up! This is the fourth book in the Heirs of Elydor series and honestly I would recommend not only this book but this whole series to anyone looking for a new romantasy series, full of romance, interesting plots that interconnect but are completely able to be read as a stand alone, enough world building that will leave each scene vivid in your head and plenty of happily ever afters!
Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and C.L. Mecca for an early copy to review!
I went into this a little blind not realizing it was book 4 in a series. It is meant to be able to be read as a standalone as well though. Even having not read the first 3 stories I still enjoyed it. It was obvious there was back history between the fmc and mmc that I had missed out on but I still got into their story and figured out the world and the politics. It was fast paced and a really nice conclusion. I’ll have to go back and read the other 3. Even knowing the end I want to hear all about the stories of the other characters that were in this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the arc of this book.
This book was not for me... I was able to get an arc copy of this book and I love romantacy but this one did not hit the spot. I would not consider it enemies to lovers like I was expecting more of an mutual forbidden longing to lovers. I did see after finishing this book (which says it can be a stand alone) that there are more books in the world that could be read as a series. One day I might go back and re-read all of the books from release date in this "series" but as a stand alone this book didn't do it for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC!
This was a strong conclusion to the Heirs of Elydor series. I loved Terren and Lyla‘s story. Their chemistry was palpable. The way Terren was irrevocably in love with Lyla had me kicking my feet and smiling. The overarching plot within this series was wrapped up nicely and I found myself satisfied with the final outcome. I also loved seeing all of the MCs from the previous books join together. Overall, I would highly recommend this series!
C.L. Mecca does it again! When I read book 3 I said it was my favorite of the three, well now I can say this is the best of the 4!
I was concerned going into it that Terran was going to be our MMC, I just couldn't see myself falling for him. I take it back, I need so much more of this man.
I'm so happy that Lyra gets her happily ever after! She's been a favorite of mine since the beginning.
Honestly, I'm really upset this was the last book in this world. I've enjoyed it so much that I just want more of every single character.
This SPICY hot romantasy had me hooked from the beginning.
Lady Lyra, an Aetherian, is sent to Gyoria to retrieve an artifact needed to open the Gate to the human world. With a long standing aversion to Aetherians, the Gyorians are resistant to her presence. Immediately, the tension between her and Prince Terran heats up. She has to get Terran to trust her in order to succeed in her mission.
Although this is book 4 of the Heirs of Elydor series, it can be read as an interconnected standalone.
Love, love, loved Lyra and Terran's story as the end to the Heirs of Elydor series. This is my first foray into Romantasy, but not my first read from Ms. Mecca. Her character development and fun, flirty dialogue between characters make her novels delightful to read. The story is a stand-alone adventure, however, it is better enjoyed when read in order of the series. Overall, Realm of Stone & Starlight is fabulously written and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in this genre!
I was completely swept away by the chemistry between Terran and Lyra; his brooding intensity and her fierce determination created a gripping enemies-to-lovers dynamic. The elemental magic, rival kingdoms, and high-stakes plot kept the tension high, while the romance simmered beautifully throughout. I loved the dual POV, which gave both characters real depth. While a few plot points wrapped up a bit too easily, the emotional payoff and world-building more than made up for it.
