A.K. Koonce is a USA Today best selling author. She's a mom by day and a fantasy and paranormal romance author by night. She keeps the fantastical stories in her mind on an endless loop, while she tries her best to focus on her actual life and not that of the spectacular but demanding fictional characters who always fill her thoughts
In this story we meet Cersia, who is due to be mated off but when a mysterious wolf shifter with green eyes shows up and gives her a new purpose who is she to say no?
Now she is stuck with 3 shifters, our sweet Avian, hot and cold Roman and grumpy mountain of a man Zilo. They all must work together to stop the Prince of Hell by using Cersia as bait. But Cersia is not one to roll over and these men drive her as crazy as she is attracted to them.
I love how Cersia does not roll over one bit to these men and though there are new rules to Hell, she also is going to do things her way. Over the book, she builds special individual relationships with each of them and starts breaking down those grumpy walls. The men are extremely devoted to her and don’t want her to get hurt but she is not one to sit idly by.
Cersia struggles with her relationship with her sister but also with her power but when she finally unleashes she is devastating.
I was so excited to read this story about Cersia and her hell hounds. I have read a lot of A.K. Koonce’s books and they always hit the fantasy jackpot! This was no different.
The banter and sass from Cersia is my favorite! She will have you wishing to be her best friend, just to hear what comes out of her mouth. But the surprises and twists along the way will keep you on your toes! The author does a great job at keeping you in suspense and surprising you while still giving you hints along the way that aren’t too obvious.
Add this to your tbr to read when it comes out January 6th.
Thank you to @A.K. Koonce for the early copy - all opinions are my own.
On the eve of Cersia (FMC) being mated off she gets given a different choice by wolves - Roman, Zilo & Avian to help them to deal with the Prince of Hell. The job is not all it seems and things became difficult for all of them there. This book definitely kept me on my toes with all the plot twists and turns. Add to that plenty of steam which all went to together to make for a great read.
Loved this book. It’s well written with a fast pace that keeps you turning through the twists and turns. I loved the very different main characters and how their relationship develops.
