Three girls. Four kingdoms. One potion.

After Katerina’s trip to the Cursed Kingdom to steal the first item for Dania’s lifesaving potion, Maeve is forced to take on the next task: to steal two pairs of wings. Traveling to the Fae Kingdom is hard enough, with cunning ogres on her back and snappy fae watching her every move, but sneaking into The Vault Of Lost Wings proves to be a challenge nearly fetal.

After befriending a fae named Ruby, Maeve explores part of the cruel world that lives separate from the rest of the realm. Its breathtaking land a stark contrast against the ruthlessness of the winged creatures. Cruel royals roam the land, and with secrets swirling inside of Maeve’s head, she is a moving target.

When Maeve’s plan of breaking into The Vault Of Lost Wings rolls out, unexpected forces threaten to turn enemies into allies. But there’s one problem: Maeve trusts no one—least of all men. And fate has a cruel sense of humor, because the only person who can help her is exactly that.

Dear Bo, you are brutal.

This book starts directly where the first book ended, so I would definitely reccomend reading them back to back.

This book gives us more backstory about Maeve and Dania, which I loved.
Fluff is just adorable and I love him (please don't kill her Bo, I'm begging you)

It was very fast paced and I couldnt put it down. My only complaint is that it could've been longer and that's a good thing. I just want to spend more time with Maeve🥹 I loved her so much more than I expected to!

It was very magical, dare I say it gave me some Stephanie Garber vibes? But then with dragons and more death😂

Tropes:
•Animal sidekick
•Heist
•Secret identity
•Royal fae

This book was so so so fun!! I was skeptical about it cause I wasn’t sure what to think about Maeve at first, but i absolutely loved her!!

This book felt so much better than the first book tho, the stay in the fae kingdom was longer, the plot was plotting and the world building was way better.

This was fast paced and everything I wish for in a fantasy book. It just keeps getting better and better!!

I liked all the people and companions we met on the way and I can’t wait to dive into the third book. Waiting for the fourth book is going to be hard tho haha, I hate waiting.

Ps. if something is going to happen to fluff or vorrak, I will fucking sue bo salem xx

I liked this book more than the previous, it's a fun light read.

Maeve is a fun character, though the fae were quite edgy. I really liked the adventure parts where Maeve faces danger but also new friends. Really enjoyed Dimitri and Emris's short appearances.

Thankful to the author for giving me this arc. Was really curious to how the story continued. I really enjoyed reading this book. Maeve is so sweet, which did not help for pretending to be a fae, she failed lol, but luckily all worked out in the end. I really like Fluff and Vorrak, they so cute. Feel bad for Maeve, with how she grew up, being alone and taking care of a baby at only 10 years old, insane. Also poor Ruby, she did not deserve that. Love the banter between Maeve and Emris. Wonder why Dimitri pretended to hurt her. The ending is mean! How will this continue?! You can't just end it like that without having the next book available! Now i need to wait idk how long to find out how that interaction will go. I mean we talking about brother and sister meeting after 5 years or so!. I need to know how that goes.

It’s safe to say this book was so much better than the first. The pacing felt much smoother this time around, and at no point did the story drag. The writing also felt far more natural, and I’m glad to see the author taking bigger risks with the plot.

This installment expanded the world we fell in love with in the first book, giving us a much deeper look into the regime and politics of the Fae Kingdom while also having more action, more magic, and more creatures. Maeve was such a sweetheart of a protagonist, a gentle character trying to survive in the middle of a ruthless kingdom.

One of my favorite parts of the book was the animal companions and supporting characters. Fluff was so cute!! and my heart absolutely broke for Vorrak by the end.

I cannot wait to continue on to the third book.

Wow, wow, wow!!! I thought the first book was good, but this one was even better!!!!🤯😍

The setting and the story of this book was gripping and twisting every few pages. It had me reading until I fell asleep and I did not want to put it down!!!💗 I absolutely loved following Maeve into the fae kingdom, and see her growing as a shy girl to a confident young woman!!!!🤭 I loved the story and all the characters, places and creatures you read about in this book. 🥹

I would absolutely recommend this series, and THE ENDING?!!! I NEED to know what will happen next!!!!😱😱😱💗 I cannot wait for the next books!!!🥹🥰

4,5 stars!

If it wasn’t for the bad reading month’s I’ve had, I probably would have finished this book in a day. I loved it from start to finish.

In this book we follow Maeve who’s going into the Fae Kingdom to steal 2 pairs of wings. It’s the second component she needs for a cure for her little sister.

I love how Bo writes a story. She writes in a way so that you are glued to the page and you really want to know what’s coming next. She writes twists (I didn’t see coming), writes funny moments but also heartbreaking and cruel things which I like in a story. Not everything needs to be happy and positive the whole time. The books in this series are also on the shorter side which I find really refreshing these days.

After this ending, I really need book 3! I can’t wait for it to come out and see what this story is going to bring next.

NOOOOO I NEED TE REST OF THE SERIES ASAP!!!!

We immediately dive into the story where book 1 finished and omg, there was so much more depth. Maeve (human) travels to the Fae kingdom while she sips potions that transforms her into a Fae. The entire story, she has different adventures.

First, she’s almost eaten by Ogres. Then in the Fae kingdom she’s becoming friends with a Fae, watching dragon fights and she also bonds with a Flickerfox. Let’s not forget the grumpy Royal Fae because, WHY NOT MEET A PRINCE WHILE UR THERE 🙂‍↔️?!?!?

Like I said, much more depth because my heart punched. I felt betrayed, I felt anger, I felt sadness, I loved it hehehe. Katerina and Maeve are both badass in their own way. I looove how Maeve is such a caretaker of her sister.

I so hope Maeve will have an opportunity to kick the Queen in her face (iykyk). AND WHATSUP WITH THE CROWN PRINCE? Hello!!! I need answers!!!

Also, without saying spoilers, can we pls go back to the cursed kingdom and get something back (or someone) 😮‍💨…..

Not much world building or difficult settings, which makes the story easy to follow and very suitable for the YA genre.

Happy to have received another Arc in the series and cannot wait to read the rest, because the CLIFFHANGER?!? BO!!!!!!!!

Maeve's story
Reviewing the entire series here.
The series was great! The ending sucked!
To the series: we are immediately thrust into a world of 3 women and 1 girl. A Fae, an Elf, and human sisters. The child (Dania) is hit with an illness that died out centuries ago. However, the band of women comes together to find the cure in an old elven book. They need 4 things: the most valuable item from each of the four kingdoms. So they plan, and the quest begins. Katerina is a banished fae and the only one who can venture into the Cursed Kingdom. Maeve is human, but she has to venture into the fae land; Leyna is elven, and she ventures into the elven land. The human land needs serious planning by everyone so Katrina can get through unscathed. And each woman has a fear of men that is slowly healed along the way by good men. I liked this! I've been hurt by several men. I know there are good men out there!!
The books are a series and need to be read in order.
The adventure was great! Everyone got their HEA, except Emris. And this might be a spoiler. But it made me so mad. The illness is not, in fact, an illness but a curse put on Dania by Katrina's mother, the EVIL fae queen. So, there is no cure! They did this whole adventure for nothing. Why couldn't the author stick with the illness and not transform it into a curse?! Now Dania has lost everyone related to her. Ugh! This frustrated me so much. It ruined the series for me.

If there's one fantasy creature I despise it has to be the fae. They just keep adding reasons to my list as to why you should hate them. The queen being just the cherry on top, makes me wanna set my pre-order sticker on fire. The moment the ogres said "we thought you were a fae" I couldn't blame them before even hearing their story.

I'll never forgive Emris for what he did to Vorrak either he had no right to be mad about his stupid muddy clothing idc.

Also what's up with Dimitri? Did the mama's boy suddenly get a sense of empathy or is there something he knows?

I might've screamed a little when the Cursed King briefly showed up tho :) I don't think Ruby is dead. He can't have killed her if he knew what she had done, can he? Maybe he can, but idk I'm not feeling it.

I would say this book messed with my sleep schedule if it wasn't already messed up. Next one please!!

This was such a fun adventure!

Just like the first book of this series, there was so much packed in just a short book. Every time I thought the story would slow down, something else goes wrong.

I loved meeting the new characters, especially the animals and it was really cool to discover a new part of this world. This book has made me so curious about the next parts! I’m really glad I’ve got the next book already, but I’ll have to wait for the final book (although not long luckily).

Overall I had a great time reading this book and I thought the storytelling was lovely.

Hello my lovely readers!

We are just a few weeks out from release and I'm thrilled to share the next book in this series with you! It's fun, packed with adventure, filled with angst and lots of banter. After this, there will be two more books until the series is finished, and I promise you, this ending will make you want book three, hehe!

Happy reading for everyone who has an ARC, and for the rest of you, just a few more weeks!

This sequel picks up right where The Skin of a Soulless left off, and it wastes no time throwing Maeve into danger. Her task to steal two pairs of wings from the Fae Kingdom is as impossible as it sounds, and Bo Salem leans into that suspense beautifully. It feels very classic quest fantasy, but it's filled with danger, and a touch of cruelty that makes the fae feel genuinely unsettling.

I received an ARC of this and really enjoyed it. The fae lands are beautiful but merciless, and Maeve’s alliance with Ruby adds both warmth and complication to the journey.

My only wish? That it had been longer. I would’ve loved more time to sit with the characters before it was over. Still, it’s a strong continuation of the series that left me eager for whatever Salem has planned next!

Such a cute read <3

Maeve really is the sweetest person and I honestly feel so bad for her that she had to take this journey and see how the kingdom really is. Bo really writes her characters well and her writing style is captivating! I also finished the book in 24h :)

I cannot wait for book 3 which is supposed to come out this year!

This book was slightly better than the first. Felt a bit more appaeling storywise and not so weirdly fast pacing like it was written by a teen. Still not a very strong book.

Okay, phew! O.M.G. I need you all to sit your bottoms down while I tell you about this book. Cause this one is insane! Absolutely utterly insane and the way Bo Salem cooked with this book, God🤭🤧

I am obsessed with her characters! First of she portrays everything with such a genuine feelings like can you imagine trying to like a character you hated from the start.🤨. EXACTLY I AM TALKING ABOUT THE FAE PRINCE. I hated him so much. Like so much.

And my poor, Maeve, she is so kind and polite and the way she almost got betrayed by Ruby. Like can just everyone let Maeve breathe, she is here trying to save her sister and what you people want, trying to uncover her disguise?! What is wrong with you.🤨🙄😭

But then when Ruby helped her out, I breathed a sigh of relief. The book was such an adventurous read, like it has everything—comedy, action, emotions. Oh the way Author described those emotions.🤌🏻✨️

And now let's come to my favorite part. The stealing part. The Heist. O.M.G. The pipe part. Do you know that I read this one in one sitting. Like it was such a part. GOD I AM OBSESSED. AND NOT TO FORGET THE PART WHERE I MELTED. EVERYONE LISTEN CLOSE—HE, THE CROWN PRINCE DIDN'T HURT HER. 😳🤧 YES, THE CROWN PRINCE DIDN'T HURT HER AND ANOTHER PRINCE HEALED HER TWICE. MY GIRL BAGGED TWO PRINCES AT ONCE!!!🦢🤍

AND THE ENDING O.M.G. I AM SO EXCITED TO READ BOOK 3 WANT TO WATCH KATERINA'S REACTION AND ACTION!!!! I LOVE THIS BOOK! DEAR AUTHOR, I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!

🌹 Will Maeve be able to pull off the heist of her life or will her kind heart be the death of her? 🌹

🌹The second instalment of Bo Salem's The Kingdom's Greatest Treasures series was packed with tension, twists, and thrills. I just had to know what happened next.🌹

🌹 The Wings of a Fae follows Maeve on her journey to the Fae Kingdom where she attempts a seemingly impossible heist to save her little sister.🌹 While Maeve learns to navigate a cruel world where nothing is what it seems, the line between who she can trust and who wants her dead becomes more and more blurred.🌹 Even though she is kind-hearted, she can be incredibly feisty and determined when necessary.🌹 I related to her as a parentified older sister who turns to food for comfort and cannot wait to see her grow more into herself as the series unfolds.🌹

🌹 The absolute cliff-hanger ending of this book has me eagerly awaiting book 3... 🌹

This book is the most "true fantasy" bo has ever written. With vivid descriptions she takes you on a journey to the kingdom of the fae like you are truly there. the book takes place right after the events of book 1. The girls are still giving it their all to save little dania before it is too late. Now it is up to maeve to sneak into the fae kingdom to steal a pair of wings from the royal vualt. Will she be able to steal them? Go read this book to find out! 😉

This is book 2 of the serie called: The kingdom's greatest treasures.
And that is what these books are about. Getting the hands on the most important item of each of the kingdoms realms.

In this book we follow Meave. Her little sister is sick. So she sets out on a all important trip to the fae. Her task is to steal fae wings. But can she -a human- blend in with the fae, while taking a potion to look like one of them.

Wow this book is so good. I loved the first book. But this is even better. How innocent Maeve is in this harsh world. Her character and the pet companions. I love Fluff ❤️
This book gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 stars. Because men this end. I can not survive without answers.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I simply couldn't put it down! This time, Maeve must travel to the Fae Kingdom to steal wings in order to save her little sister. I loved that Maeve is softer than Katerina, and this book shows that it's sometimes better to be a gentler character. I really liked the characters she encountered and the friendships she formed. Having finished this book, I am very excited for the next one in the series!
