An incredible well researched history that weaves an intriguing story of a key piece of California history. Sharp writing and compelling characters reads like a real life Vineland with a bit more academic rigour in the research. Hunter Thompson meets Pynchon? You get the feeling that the writer is holding back on unleashing their talent a bit. Can't wait for the next.
