All my life I’d looked forward to attending Hillslane Academy. After all, it was a huge accomplishment just to be chosen. But my biggest reason for wanting to go wasn't the honor of being picked. No, it was simply because I’d heard most found their fated mates at the school and growing up with four fathers, all deeply in love, I’d longed to find my own mate. One thing I was not expecting, though, was for my dragon to spot my fated mate the very first day, or that said mate was already in a relationship with someone else.

It was a good thing I had my brother Jamie with me and some of our cousins, because my dragon longed to claim my mate, and even with a surprising ally on my side, it seemed time was ticking out for my dragon and soon it would take the reins. I only hoped my mate was ready for me. He would soon become my greatest treasure.

This was such a cute novella! Nym was exactly what you think of when you think about a dragon shifter; protective, obsessive, possessive, caring, devoted, and did I mention possessive? Harpy was such a sweetheart, I felt so bad for him at first. I loved seeing these two together and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

What a cute novella!

The magical world Regi has created is interesting without being overwhelming. We get shifters in an academic setting where they find out they have a fated mate, and that they need to learn protect the magical world.

Nym and Harpy are such sweet characters. I love that we get to see different animals than we usually see in shifter books.

I can’t wait to see which other pairings we’ll get within this found family.

Harpy and Nym were so adorable! Even though the author confirmed these are short stories, I really liked how she handled the relationship development between them.

Harpy was so sweet, but Nym completely stole my heart. He had me at "dragon shifter," but seeing how he treats his family and friends? And especially how sweet he was with his partner at every turn? 🥹 Gosh, I’m head over heels! 💖💖

I’m dying to read the next installments! I’m so intrigued by Damon and his mate; Casey, and Jamie👀.

I so enjoyed this! I loved the concept: fated mates finding each other at a shifter academy? Yes please! This was the perfect cutesy novella to help me destress after an emotional day. 
 
Nym and Harpy are properly adorbs together, and it really made me smile. I loved the difference in the sizes of their animals, and thinking of how sweet they’d be cuddled up together. A dragon and his most treasured possession.
 
I adored how devoted Nym is to Harpy and with how strong his dragon instincts were, it means that he genuinely wants to be the best possible shifter he can be for his mate. If that meant that he was sometimes competitive and possessive… well, I wasn’t complaining!
 
I adored the found family in this too, including Nym’s brother and cousins, and how we had some teasers of what’s to come in the future. I’m so looking forward to Casey’s story!

Hillslane Academy is shrouded in mystery but it is the dream of all shifters to have opportunity to go an learn from the best to enhance their natural abilities. Nym is no exception, he is of royal blood and while he adores his family, he is ready to have his fated mate by his side. Upon arrival he learns that finding his mate is easy but getting his mate on the same page may take some time. He only ever wants his mate to be happy but he also needs to calm his dragon so as not to claim in mate in the dining halls. But Nym has his family close by to keep him calm and also hopes to help them in their journeys. They've done life together so this is just another chapter in their lives. Seeing some of the mate awkwardness and shyness shining through various characters is always fun to me. I cannot wait to see how everyone finds their one and only.

I’m quickly becoming addicted to Regitse’s stories. Every time I read them, they make feel all warm and fuzzy and put a smile on my face.

This was no different. What’s not to love when you got dragon shifters?! I swear I’m obsessed with everything dragons. There’s just something so magical about them and when said dragon is such a sweet soul, it’s even better.

Nym was so good and semi patient about his mate having a boyfriend. He wanted to claim Harpy right away but chose to respect Harpy’s boundaries and wishes.

Instead of throwing a tantrum and exercising his rights as a mate, he gave him space and waited until Harpy was ready. And they say romance is dead🥰

I adored Harpy. He was the sweetest person ever. The magic definitely got it right pairing them as mates.

It was WAY too short and left me wanting more, but I’m also happy with how it turned out. Can’t wait for the next book!

This book was absolutely adorable. I felt giddy the entire time I was reading it. From the very first pages I was hooked on Nym and Harpy and their story.

This was actually my first novella, and now I have a bit of a love hate relationship with them. On one hand it was such a fun, quick read. On the other hand I could have easily read 600 pages of Nym and Harpy’s story alone. I was not ready to leave their world when it ended.

I loved the whole concept behind the shifting, the school, the laws, and the traditions that shape their world. It made everything feel unique and magical while still keeping the focus on the characters and their relationship.

Honestly I just wanted more time with them because their dynamic was so much fun to read.

And now I am already excited for the next book with Casey and Jamie because if their story is anything like this one, I know I am going to love it.

Really sweet short story, fated mates meet at a magical academy they have been summoned for a greater purpose. Love the world building in this universe and the start of the character building is great. Really enjoyed the relationship and all the addition character tid bits.

This series is going to be really interesting as each book builds a bit m0re information I am very intrigued about what's next and the overall plot.

Feel like more detail would have been nice, it is only a novella so short, sweet snippets of possible things to come. Some spice but quite tame compared to other books by this author. Will definitely snap up this whole series and it's a very low angst, easy read magical loveliness.

I never knew i needed a dragon and cat shifter romance but here we are ! The claiming was soo good and well written ! (No suprise i love everything Regitse does lol)

Nym is a prince and a dragon shifter , and he is been sent to the magical academy to learn more about his dragon and powers .

Harpy is a fluffy white cat shifter who also attends that academy. Whoever attends said academy is bound to find his fated mate ! Sadly for Nym , Harpy is already in a relationship ( without being mated ).

Will Nym convince sweet Harpy that they are meant to be?

Ooh i need book 2 of this asap ! I need more cute shifters 🩷

This was such a cute story!

It had a mix of yearning, romance, and some magical learning combined into one story that kept you turning the page, waiting to read what happens next!

I loved both the main male characters but, Nym was my favorite. He was so patient with Harpy, who struggled to let his first love go. Nym has waited his whole life to find his other half, like his father's did before him and he thought his mate would feel the same.

There are some struggles the two have to push through but, the ending is so worth it. I won't give too much more away so, I recommend reading to read how this ends.

I can't wait to read more stories in this series!

I love everything Regitse writes and this was no exception. I loved loved loved the connection to the Wishing for Mates series. It being one of my favorite series by Regitse I love anything tied to it. Nym and Harpy were so cute together. They had a bit of a rocky start but once things evened out they were great together. I enjoyed Nym teaching Harpy about his dragon and Harpy finding comfort in Nym. The cousins were fun and I’m excited for this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Absolutely loved getting back to The Wishing For Mates cast starting with Luka (the OG’s) son Nym!

Loved it’s a novella and that the others will be too. It was short and sweet with some spice thrown in and some serious claiming (I love how possessive and protective dragons are)!

The story was great, I loved the shifted cuddles and the size difference between Nym and Harpy.

The tease for the next couples has me ready for more!
