The Dragon & The Moon

Rate this book
Dorinavasya has spent a beautiful, if lonely, life as the goddess of the dark side of the moon. She is ill prepared for the mortal life she is thrust into when her sister betrays her, sending her to the world far below. Will she learn to experience the joys a mortal life can offer her?

Neamhaí has loved the dark moon goddess for as long as he can remember. Drifting through the cosmos with his fellow cosmic dragons, lending their starlight to the vastness of space, he has been content to love her from afar. When she disappears, however, he knows what he must do–find her and protect her at any cost.

Emma Elizabeth said “I got a dragon” and that’s all I needed to know to dive into this novella.
Cozy, whimsical, and a bit spicy. This dragon has been in love and yearning for his moon goddess for centuries. Dori and Neamhaí story had me swooning from start to finish.
I love all Emma’s novellas; this is no exception.

Thank you for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

✨My Thoughts: What an original read! I love the beauty and cozy vibes from this novella. All of Emma's novellas are so good, but I think this one is my favorite. Neamhaí is kind, soft, and nurturing, whereas Dorin is hard and bitter from being casted out. Their relationship is refreshing and I just love it.

💖Quotes: "I believe I was meant to love you, worship you; why else would I have fallen right here, where you've made your home?"
"I think I actually would like that physical contact you offered, if it isn't too much trouble."

You ever see The Princess and the Frog (the Disney animated film)? This is kinda like the story of Ray the firefly and Evangeline the moon.

Dorinavasya was tricked and turned into a mortal. She got a lonely existence but she had a secret admirer in Neamhaí, who searched beyond for her. He also went down to the mortal world to keep Dorin company.

Very short, cute and fun book. I saw the cover and immediately downloaded it.

I love this world, and I wished we saw some cameo from the other characters but alas, the story worked perfectly around the main characters.

Love the fanart in the book, such a fun surprise. Not a surprise now if you read this review lol.

A very cute short (VERY short) and spicy read! I think this is like a novella for series… I think, so I'll definitely check out the other books.

Emma Elizabeth has done it again! We are given a short, fast past story about a goddess that was cast to earth by betrayal of her sister, and the dragon who has loved her for centuries.
Elizabeth presents us with a romance with spice and a whimsical fairy tales feel.
I really enjoyed reading it and was left wishing it was longer.
