Elina’s Diary was very mysterious, tense and scary. I was wondering what’s real and what’s not. The story kept me glued to its pages throughout and I finished it in a day!
However, the book is badly in the need of an editor, there are multiple spelling and grammatical errors. For eg. What happened becomes what happens, unpleasant is written as unplasant, I didn’t kill X always becomes I don’t kill X. There are sentences like ‘don’t take the stress’, a character Dhruv is mentioned as Dhruva eight times and many more where tenses are not proper. In fact, tenses were consistently wrong and kept pulling me out of the story. It was exhausting honestly and wish the author had bothered to find an editor before publishing this. I felt like an English grammar teacher reading a below average student’s work.
Even though I liked the story, I’m unwilling to give this author another try because the grammar and sentence construction was extremely annoying. I know I sound harsh but it felt like the author herself doesn’t care enough about her story to give it a second read and at least correct the typos and spelling errors.
It could have been a 4.5 star for the story, but because of the writing it’s more like a 2.5.
Elina’s Diary is a story about how the past can follow us, even when we try to run from it. The author does a good job of making you feel what the characters are going through — the fear, confusion, and longing for peace. It’s a story that makes you think about what’s real and what’s not, and how sometimes, the scariest things are hidden inside ourselves.
The main character, Jahnvi, is looking for a new start. She moves to a new city, gets a new job, and rents a big, old villa that seems perfect at first. She’s eager to leave her old life behind—her stressful family and the worries that haunted her. Jahnvi’s excitement feels genuine, and it’s easy to relate to her desire for freedom and a fresh beginning. The book captures her feelings well, showing how someone might cling to a new place when everything else feels unstable.
What I really liked about the book is how it explores different themes. It’s not just a mystery; it’s about guilt, fear, and how our minds can play tricks on us. The villa, with its creepy history and strange stories, adds a spooky touch that makes you wonder if it’s cursed or just in Jahnvi’s head. The way the story unfolds — revealing clues bit by bit — keeps you hooked without rushing. It makes you want to keep reading, trying to figure out what’s real and what’s not.
The author’s style is simple but effective. The language is easy to understand, but it creates a lot of atmosphere. The pacing is just right — slow enough to build tension, but quick enough to keep your interest. The diary of Elina, which is part of the story, is a clever way to get inside her mind. It adds depth and makes the mystery more personal.
Throughout the story, there’s a lot of respect for the characters. Jahnvi’s growing anxiety and confusion feel real and understandable. The author shows her as a person with flaws, fears, and hopes, just like anyone else. The supporting characters, like the police inspector Vipul, are also shown with kindness and understanding. They all seem like real people, with their own struggles and reasons.
What makes Elina’s Diary special is how relatable it is. Everyone has felt haunted by something — a mistake, a lost loved one, or guilt that won’t go away. The story doesn’t pretend these feelings are easy to handle. Instead, it shows how hard it can be to face what’s inside us. Sometimes, the biggest mysteries are the ones we carry inside, and trying to solve them can be the hardest journey.
In the end, the book isn’t just about solving a crime or finding out what really happened. It’s about understanding ourselves and facing our fears. The twists in the story are surprising, but what stays with you are the quiet moments of reflection. The ending makes you think about how much of what we see is real and how much is shaped by our memories and feelings.
If you like stories that mix suspense with a touch of horror, and if you enjoy surprises and secrets, Elina’s Diary is a good choice. It’s a story about guilt, secrets, and the truth — and how sometimes, the biggest truths are the hardest to face. It’s a reminder that everyone has their own ghosts, and the path to peace can be full of twists and turns.
Just finished this book and… wow. I’m honestly still trying to wrap my head around it 🤯
This psychological thriller completely messed with my mind, but in the best way. It opens at a New Year’s party where a teenage girl has her drink spiked by two people she genuinely thought were her friends. They take advantage of her while she’s barely conscious, but she somehow manages to get away and reach her car. In that confused, terrified state, she decides to drive home — not the smartest decision, but you can’t really blame her given what she just went through. Her “friends” chase after her, and in the chaos, she ends up in a horrible accident. When she comes to, she realizes she’s killed one of them. Her father, who’s pretty influential, swoops in and basically makes the whole thing disappear.
Fast forward eight years. She moves to a new city, trying to start over, and rents a villa from a woman named Elina. For a while, everything is calm. Normal. Almost too normal. Then one day, Elina completely vanishes. When the police look into it, they find out something INSANE — Elina actually died by suicide eight years ago.
Like… WHAT?? Who has she been living with this whole time?! That reveal alone had me sitting there staring at the page.
The way the author ties her past trauma to everything happening in the present is just brilliant. I kept questioning every little thing — what’s real, what’s guilt, what’s her mind doing, what’s actually happening around her. Her trauma and guilt from that night are written so honestly that you feel for her even when you’re freaked out.
What I loved most is that it’s not your typical jump-scare kind of thriller. It has this slow, unsettling tension that creeps up on you. The mix of psychological tension with subtle supernatural elements? Perfect.
The pacing is addictive — I flew through this. Every time I thought I had a theory, the author completely flipped it. And the ending… I was literally staring at the last few pages like, “No way.” I even went back and reread some parts because everything suddenly clicked in such an eerie, disturbing way.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers with paranormal vibes, deep emotional layers, and twists that make you question your own brain, you HAVE to read this. Just a warning: it lingers in your head long after you’re done. I finished it and I’m still thinking about it… and losing sleep over it 😅
A solid 10/10 for me — dark, twisted, and unforgettable.
Elina’s Diary: A Truth or Trap is not just a book — it’s an emotional ambush. You start reading all calm and curious, and next thing you know, your trust issues have trust issues. It begins with a dead girl, a creepy diary, and a house that absolutely should’ve been left alone. Elina might be gone, but her energy? LOUD. UNSETTLING. UNINVITED. The diary doesn’t just tell a story — it plays mind games with you. Every page whispers, “You sure you know what’s going on?” Because trust me… you don’t. Enter Jahnvi — rich, haunted, and carrying trauma like emotional baggage she never checked in. After a tragic incident in her past, she tries to start over in Gurgaon (classic “new city, new me” energy), but surprise surprise — it’s actually a beautifully crafted psychological trap. And the way this story connects her to Elina? DIABOLICAL. Everyone in this book is suspicious. Everyone. The ones you trust? Lying. The ones helping? Plotting. The ones acting innocent? Oh, they’re the worst. The manipulation is so smooth you won’t even realize you’ve been played until it’s too late. And when the mastermind is revealed? Yeah… that hit DIFFERENT. What I loved most is how quiet the horror is. No cheap jump scares. No dramatic nonsense. Just slow, suffocating tension that crawls under your skin and makes you question every character, every memory, every motive. The psychological mind games? Chef’s kiss. The revenge? Cold. Calculated. Personal. Is it a little confusing sometimes? Yes. But honestly, that just adds to the chaos. Because when everyone is lying, clarity isn’t supposed to come easy. The characters are messy, broken, and morally grey — the kind you side-eye but still can’t stop thinking about. And the ending? Yeah… it doesn’t just end. It lingers. Like that one thought that randomly hits you at 2 a.m. and ruins your peace. This book is for the girlies who love: ✨ dark psychology ✨ unreliable narrators ✨ revenge served ice-cold ✨ and stories that make you whisper “what the hell just happened?”
As someone who loves a good mystery novel, I definitely did enjoy the build. The story has two timelines, one when Jhanvi is still a teenager and another when she moves for her job.
When Jhanvi was younger, she got into an accident, and later, her two friends died all of a sudden, and she was the main suspect.
Fast forward a few years, Jhanvi's friend Dhruv finds her a job in a different place finally giving her an exit she needed to escape her family at home who even now holds her past mistakes over her head. She decides to room in with Elina, a girl who owns a mansion, who was in search of a roommate.
She meets Yatharth, Dhruv's friend and her colleague from her job, who seems to like her a little more than just friends. Their relationship evolves, and she start trusting and relaying on him
However, as time progresses, her life turns upside down, and things from her past come back to haunt her. Things that she had tried hard to forget.
Messages containing things that only she knows about, people who should be dead suddenly appearing, at one point I started questioning my own sanity 🙃. (I DONT RECOMMEND READING THIS AT NIGHT)
The author potrays her as an unreliable narrator. The line between reality and her imagination blurs, and somehow, the author balances it just right so that it doesn't get too confusing.
Each character have their own secrets, own dark past that they hide, and it all comes unravelling, making you change your suspect at every point in the story.
My personal favourite part was how the author wrote about Jhanvi's thoughts, the mistrust that was building, and her slow descent into insanity( or what i thought it was).
I definitely loved how each character's past and motives and revealed, their relationship to Jhanvi's past and their motivations.
And the ending...I did not expect that, but nonetheless, it was an amazing though a stressful read.
A must-read for all mystery fans. Just incase you haven't seen my last post, I've introduced the characters too
THE MOST UNPREDICTABLE BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!! Is it a truth or is it a trap? Elina’s Diary by Manya Nigam is a masterpiece inclusive of author’s wit and brains! It’s a perfect psychological thriller that not only keeps you on your toes but also has you wrapped around its little finger! The book weaves a story around Elina Martin, a girl who died 8 years ago and Jahnvi, a girl with a dark past being dragged on and blamed for crimes she hasn’t even committed. Is Elina really dead or is her ghost coming back to haunt and take revenge? Or is it a strategy planned against someone to seek revenge very cleverly? Won’t give away the spoilers! I have been immensely invested, I couldn’t wait to pick it up and continue already each time I closed the book! I was too into reading it, I didn’t realise that it’s fiction – it felt like I know too much! By the time I finished the book, I felt extremely heavy and realised what crazy obsessive psychotic love makes you do. I absolutely loved how each and every character was given a perfect ending. I had to make notes to keep up with the story, still found zero loopholes! It was so satisfying when the dots finally connected at the very end of the book. My mind is blown! Do you know that feeling – the one where something is so awesome that you’re left shocked and stunned? This is exactly what I felt when I finished the book and sat down to pour my thoughts about it! Reading this book was like solving an investigation case. Just when I thought I cracked the code, the story took another turn making me question everything all over again! If you haven’t read a psychological thriller, THIS is your sign to pick up Elina’s Diary – an absolute flawless story is right there waiting for you! I cannot stop recommending it, trust me on this one and you won’t regret!
P.S. It was too hard putting my thoughts into words because one extra detail and there you have a spoiler!
The book starts with a shocking incident in 2005 involving a teenage girl named Jahnvi Malhotra, the daughter of a powerful businessman. After a drunken party, Jahnvi hits someone with her car, resulting in a crash. Disturbing her mind for eight years
The story truly kicks off when her friend Dhruv convinces Jahnvi to break free and take a new job in Gurgaon. What Jahnvi doesn't know is that this new beginning is actually a meticulously planned trap. The whole mystery revolves around a girl named Elina, who died by suicide years ago.
The best part of this book is how the author constantly pulls the rug out from under the reader. People you trust are suddenly revealed to be enemies, and those you think are helping Jahnvi are actually setting her up is the mastermind, driven by a deep desire for vengeance.
While the intense plot keeps you hooked, the sheer amount of deceit can sometimes make the story a little confusing, as you try to remember who is lying to whom.
However, The author does an excellent job of creating flawed, relatable characters who are driven by a fierce desire for justice even if that justice involves cruel manipulation.
Ending will leaves you with a lot to think about long after you turn the last page.
This is a gripping psychological thriller that will constantly make you question what's real and what's a lie.
The story is a deep dive into the dark side of friendship and the reflection of revenge perfect for anyone who loves a novel with multiple shocking twists
If you're ready for a dark, twisty story where no one can be trusted, grab this book. You won't be disappointed.
I did not expect this book to play with my mind the way it did. The moment I reached the last few chapters, I had to sit back and breathe because the twist wasn’t just surprising — it flipped the entire story on its head. It’s one of those reads where you automatically start doubting every character, every detail, and even your own predictions.
Janvi Malhotra’s journey begins with hope — a new city, a stable job, and a cozy rental home managed by her kind landlady, Elina. For the first time, life seems to be settling into place. But slowly, the house starts to feel… off. Strange noises, unsettling moments, and a growing heaviness begin to take over Janvi’s once-calm routine.
Then Elina suddenly disappears. And from that point onward, the story stops being just a mystery — it becomes a puzzle that refuses to fit together until the very last moment. When Janvi learns that Elina supposedly died years ago, the questions explode: Was she imagining things? Was she living with someone she never truly knew?
The writing keeps you hooked because nothing feels predictable. Every character carries a different shade of suspicion, and the author beautifully blurs the line between truth and illusion. What I personally loved was how the book shows that people are rarely fully right or fully wrong — everyone has a piece of guilt and a piece of pain.
By the end, you’re not just reading a thriller; you’re unravelling people’s fears, flaws, and secrets. If you’re in the mood for a story that keeps pulling you back with “just one more chapter,” this book will be a perfect pick. Suspenseful, atmospheric, and emotionally sharp — it delivers everything a good thriller should.
Just when I thought I had figured everything out, this book pulled the rug out from under me. This is one of those rare thrillers that doesn’t just surprise you once; it keeps doing it until the very last page.
This book immediately stands out for its diary-style narration. Reading it genuinely feels like peeking into someone’s most private thoughts, which makes the experience deeply unsettling and incredibly addictive. The story revolves around Elina Martin, a girl who supposedly died eight years ago, and Jahnvi, who finds herself blamed for crimes she never committed. As their stories begin to overlap, the line between truth and manipulation becomes dangerously thin.
What impressed me most is how fast-paced yet controlled the narrative is. Every chapter adds a new clue, a new secret, or an unexpected entry that forces you to rethink everything you believed so far. I found myself making mental notes just to keep up, and still, there wasn’t a single loose end by the time the story ended. Reading this felt less like reading fiction and more like actively solving a twisted investigation.
Beyond the mystery, the emotional depth caught me off guard. The book quietly explores how obsession, guilt, and warped love can destroy not just one life, but many. Characters like Jahnvi and Vipul are written with care, making their pain and confusion feel very real. By the end, I felt heavy, shocked, and oddly satisfied all at once.
Dark, unpredictable, and gripping to the core, this book is a psychological thriller that truly earns its twists. If you enjoy stories that make you question every detail, this one is absolutely worth your time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Crime • Murder Mystery • Paranormal Thriller Elina’s Diary: A Truth or Trap by Manya Nigam is a chilling blend of crime, murder mystery, and paranormal suspense that slowly creeps under your skin. What begins as a simple diary-driven narrative soon turns into something far more unsettling. The story follows a girl who rents Elina’s house, unaware that Elina is no longer alive—and that her presence still lingers within those walls. The diary becomes the bridge between the living and the dead, revealing secrets piece by piece while keeping the reader questioning every truth presented. Is the diary a confession, a warning, or a carefully laid trap? What I loved most was the psychological tension. The ghost element isn’t loud or gimmicky—it’s quiet, eerie, and deeply disturbing. Elina’s presence feels intimate, almost hauntingly personal, making the reader feel like an uninvited witness rather than a passive observer. The crime aspect blends seamlessly with the paranormal, keeping the mystery layered and unpredictable. The writing is simple yet effective, and the slow reveal keeps the suspense alive. Some parts could have been tighter, but the concept and execution make up for it. The book constantly plays with perception—of life, death, and truth—until you’re no longer sure whom to trust. Overall, this is a compelling read for anyone who enjoys murder mysteries with a paranormal edge, unreliable narratives, and stories that whisper rather than scream their horror. Definitely one that stays with you after you’re done.
This book completely messed with my head… and I loved every second of it ???? YES YOU HEARD IT RIGHT I DEVOURED EVERY SECOND OF IT.🤭💋 Right from page one Elina’s Diary is like someone grabbing you by the throat and not letting go of it.This is not your usual jump scare thriller kind of stuff. This is actually a slow-burning psychological thriller with so much tension built up inside that you find yourself holding your breath. The series follows the events of Jahnvi, who encounters a tragic event in a New Year’s party. Years later, when everything finally seems to fall into place, she moves into a villa with a warm and friendly landlady named Elina. who turns out to have been deceased for eight years. YES, YOU HEARD ME RIGHT. SHE HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 8 YEARS. There wasnt anything that felt forced in here….the story flowed so nicely I literally completed this book in a day. The way that the trauma, guilt, secrets, etc. of the past all connect in the present is honestly genius. did I mention that I read this masterpiece in one day? I did right? Did I also mention i forgot to even eat and sleep cuz the story was so interesting I couldn't just leave it half way??? The diary entries are only an added chilling factor like you know layering the truth you are just not sure you want to confront yet. As a reader who isn't taht into thriller books this one changed ny whole perception. I loved this book. Like loved it so much
Woah....😮😮 I am still processing the ending and the twist . Damn..... I am sure you are not going to trust anyone even your loved ones after reading this book . this is full of twists , secrets , surprises , shocks etc. I enjoyed it ❤️❤️
The story follows Janvi malhotra , moves to a new city , new job , and a new house with a sweet Landlady Elina , finally moving on from her past . but after few months janvi begins to sense paranormal activities which fuels her anxiety issues. when Elina suddenly Disappears and janvi files a complaint whuch leads to a shocking discovery...... Elina committed suicide in the same villa eight years ago?? was janvi living with a ghost ? or is there any connection with her past ??
the story is engaging and gripping since the very first page, I couldn’t stop reading it. The writing style is quite easy which makes readers understand the story fully. Each character is suspicious and doubtful, you cant trust fully on anyone of them .
Each one the characters is flawed and has made mistakes. by the end of the story , you can't truly decide who was completely wrong or right because each of them was somewhere wrong and right .
overall, if you like thrillers , book filled with suspense and twists or you are in a reading slump — this would be perfect 😘😘
Never have I ever read a book with a plot so intense that my brain turned into shambles. Absolutely out of the world!!! I am still in surprise after reading Elina's Diary. Manya Nigam has outdone herself with this one.
I have to talk about the mysterious energy in the whole book. It had me on my toes. From the start to the end, I was racking my brain trying to find answers. The story revolves around Janvhi who stays at a newly rented villa with her land lady Elina. She is so excited for a new change in her life but why is everyone so shocked to hear her staying in the villa? What really happened there? So many questions, yet no answers. Just when you think you finally have an idea on what is going on, one news hits you out of nowhere.
Elina has been for eight years!!
Omg, right? But that is just the start. This book is really the book equivalent of a rollercoaster. The story kept getting more intense and intense. I started questioning my own sanity at this point. But books like these make it worth it. I loved and enjoyed reading every second of it.
This book really needs to be in your tbr and if you are someone who loves thrillers, you will more than love it and those of you who don't, this book will make you love thrillers.
I recently finished reading Elina’s Diary by Manya Nigam, and let me tell you—this book completely blew my mind. It is a psychological thriller that kept me hooked from the very first chapter.
The story follows Jhanvi, who wants to forget her past and start a new life. She moves to Gurgaon when her friends Dhruv and Ruhi convince her to leave her past behind and take up a job. Jhanvi shifts into a villa owned by a friendly landlady named Elina. At first, everything seems to be settling into place, but soon the house starts to haunt Jhanvi, and strange things begin to happen. One day, Elina suddenly disappears. When Jhanvi discusses this with Avni (another tenant), Avni tells her that she doesn’t know who Elina is. Later, Jhanvi learns the shocking truth—Elina died eight years ago. Was Jhanvi hallucinating? Did Elina want something from her? Or was someone simply lying?
The writing and storytelling are so gripping that they keep the reader on the edge of their seat. The plot is unpredictable, and the ending is truly shocking.
If you are someone who enjoys psychological thrillers with a mix of mystery and horror, then you should definitely pick up this book. Overall, I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves psychological thrillers.
Now this is what you call a full-fledged thriller. The book starts off with strong horror vibes, only to deliver a smart psychological twist that completely changes the narrative. I loved how the story casually played with my brain and emotions, unraveling one twist after another.
What makes it even more gripping is the narrative in the story. You’re never fully sure what to believe. Just like the protagonist, you’re made to question reality, memories, and intentions at every turn. The story constantly shifts perspective, making you question yourself am i reading the same book. Or in simple words you have got your brains cooked. 🤯
It reminded me of movies that begin as horror but suddenly make you pause and think..Psych! this was a manipulated reality all along. The atmosphere makes you believe in ghosts and revenge beyond the grave, only to slowly prove something far more unsettling.
There are no ghosts here...but revenge exists, carefully planned .. waiting for those who once had blood on their hands. 🔪
A girl. A diary. A friendship that feels too real to be safe. This book slowly pulls you into a world where truth and imagination look exactly the same. . Elina’s Diary A Truth or A Trap is a psychological thriller that quietly gets inside your mind. It is not a fast or loud story. Instead, it builds fear through thoughts emotions and doubt. . The story follows a girl who is trying to leave her painful past behind. She finds comfort in a new home and a new friend. But slowly strange things begin to happen. People around her deny what she sees. . Moments don’t add up. And a diary starts holding more power than it should.
What makes this book special is how real the emotions feel. Loneliness guilt fear and trust are written in a very human way. You start questioning everything along with the main character. The book makes you wonder if danger always comes from the outside or if it can be created by the mind itself.
This is the kind of book that left me thinking even after the last page. Not because of sudden shocks but because of the quiet truth it hints at.
This book short-circuited my brain's chemistry and truly gave me more trust issues. Reading this book will make you realise you can't even trust your close friends. It was an amazingly done psychological thriller where each thread was carefully pulled and then perfectly crafted into an amazing story that will sweep you off your feet. In the end, all loose threads were woven well to create the ending of this book.
This was my first time reading an Indian psychological thriller, and I'm such a fool for trying to read it before. The characters were well portrayed with a sense of mystery and innocence. Janvhi, Dhruv, Elina, and many other characters in the book were written so well that you'll really question if what they are saying is actually true. Or are they really innocent? I'd like to appreciate how well the author wrote about Janhvi and her mental state, confusion, guilt, and other emotions spiralling.
Overall, I'll highly recommend it if you enjoy psychological thrillers and are especially fond of Indian books. Then go for it.
Elina's Diary works because it does not allow you to be settled on what is real and what is not. It sounds dramatic to live with someone who could have died a few years ago, yet the story maintains it in a psychological rather than horror sensation. The fear and confusion, as well as the growing paranoia Jahnvi experiences, are believable, especially when the people surrounding her begin to behave strangely, and the information continues to contradict itself.
The most interesting thing is that the book gradually shifts the focus away from the supernatural towards the issues of guilt, memory, and manipulation. The investigation is an addition that does not provide simple answers and each disclosure has you doubting the previous beliefs. The pacing is not flawless everywhere, yet, the tension exists due to the characters being wicked and undependable in a natural manner. The twist is so disturbing instead of discussing ghosts by the end, and the consequences matter.
This book follows a girl Jahnvi trying to start over, but every step she takes pulls her deeper into something darker, stranger, and way more complicated than she ever expected. What I loved most is how the author builds tension so quietly at first and as the story unravels, you keep discovering new cracks in every character’s version of the truth. No one is clean, no one is safe, and every reveal makes you question who’s actually pulling the strings. Jahnvi’s mental spiral is written so well. The fear, the confusion, the guilt, it all feels real and messy. And the investigation only makes it worse, because every answer leads to another disturbing question. By the time you reach the end, the entire puzzle snaps together in a way that’s clever, haunting, and honestly kind of devastating. This is the kind of thriller that gets under your skin.
What an absolute ride this book was. Every page was packed with thrill, tension, suspense, and a lingering sense of horror that never lets you relax. The author has done a brilliant job crafting the storyline and plot everything feels sharp, gripping, and perfectly paced.
The writing is simple, fast, and incredibly engaging, making it hard to put the book down. With every page turn, a new shock awaits, keeping you completely hooked till the very end.
The story revolves around a girl who becomes trapped in someone’s dark intentions, leading to her death, and everything that unfolds is deeply connected to her past. The intensity builds beautifully, and the suspense is handled so well that it keeps your heart racing.
It’s a powerful, well-written read absolutely worth your time, and one that won’t disappoint at all.
I just finished reading Elina's diary. And let me tell you, this thriller absolutely blew my mind.
The story follows mainly one protagonist, Jahnvi who is finally ready to overcome her past. But as she moves in to the new place, she discovers that it has now come to haunt her. She cannot trust anyone, not even herself.
As the story progresses forward, secrets and realizations and betrayals occur. Sinister conspiracies are revealed and then, a mysterious end to who haunts Jahnvi. (You'd have to read to find out who planned the whole thing!)
The writing and crafting was made to keep readers like me at the edge of the seat till the end. I mean I was hooked! However, after halfway I did feel like the pace slowed down a bit. And yet, it had the best twists.
Anyway, this was a wonderful read. Recommended to thriller lovers like me!

The writing is engaging, and the author's ability to weave together Jahnvi's past and present is expertly done. The twists and turns are unpredictable, keeping you guessing until the very end. I loved how the author explored themes of trauma, guilt, and the blurred lines between reality and paranoia.
The pacing is well-balanced, with a slow-burning tension that builds up to a thrilling conclusion. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, making it easy to become invested in their stories.

And the most terrifying part? “She lived for four months with her friend… who died eight years ago.”
You know a book is truly haunted when EVERY character has a story. EVERY truth has a shadow. And nothing is what it seems.
“Was it a ghost? A hallucination? Or a truth no one wanted uncovered?”
Elina’s Diary: A Truth or A Trap If you love psychological thrillers that crawl under your skin this one’s for you. It contains 3 parts and last one is my favourite
This book was so so so good that I can't believe but I finished this book in just one day. I was so hooked to the book. The twists, the mystery everything had intrigued me so much. The book is about the mystery behind Elina's life. It starts with Jahnvi being held responsible for the crimes which she didn't commit and how all the incidents were related to Elina's life and how Jahnvi's past was tempering her present. I loved Vipul's character so much and how he helped Jahnvi to solve the mystery behind Elina's life. I felt bad for Elina and Jahnvi so much. This book shows that just because of one person how many lives get destroyed. With each turn of page there was something more intense and more revelation were happening, surprising entries, some new secrets and may more things which were so good. There were so many scenes where I felt just tell me the culprit already 😩. I loved reading this book so much it was a real hooked worthy book. I didn't expect any twists turns like this. I would recommend everyone to read the book if they love reading mystery, thriller and murder mystery solving books
