The Wedding Mishap: An Opposites Attract, Destination Wedding Romance with Humor and Heart: Sequel to Brooding Heart, but Standalone Story; A Wanderheart Sweet Romance Series Book 2
“Sometimes the best things in life aren’t on the itinerary.”
I came to Mexico with a clipboard, a plan, and the confidence of a woman who’s never missed a deadline. My best friend’s wedding? I’ve got it. Even if a few wedding mishaps decide to test me. Enter Marco, the groom’s relaxed brother. He’s got a PhD in winging it and a grin that should come with a warning label. He owns the resort, charms every vendor within a ten-mile radius, and drives me absolutely insane. Between missing luggage, meddling moms and one unforgettable dance under fairy lights, we clash and connect in equal measure. He lives by instinct. I live by structure. Yet every moment with him reminds me there’s more to life than plans and perfection. Because sometimes, when everything goes off script, love has a way of giving you exactly what you didn’t know you needed.
A Romantic Comedy of Opposites Attract and Destination Wedding Fun
Rachel has planned Emma and Enrique's Portland wedding to perfection. One week before the wedding, they are blindsided by Enrique's passport renewal postponed. It will take a week more. The wedding is in a week. Marco, Enrique's brother, suggested that they have the wedding in their Mexican resort. They host weddings all the time, and they could have a sunset beach wedding right there. Emma and Enrique love the idea. Rachel feels like her months of planning are all for nothing. But this does seem to be the only answer. So, off to Mexico they all go. Rachel has to admit, the setting is beautiful and Marco has planned some great events. The food is incredible, the rehearsal goes smoothly. Everything is good. She still is trying to control everything. Marco told her to try to enjoy the weekend and relax. He has planned many weddings and she can take a break. That seems impossible for Rachel. She is driving the staff crazy with her micromanagement of everything. Marco tries to smooth everything over, but he's running out of patience, too. They finally find some things that they do together, like plan a romantic evening for the happy couple, and find they are good together in planning and making plans come true. A kiss after some heartfelt confessions changes everything. When Marco takes pictures for the wedding, he keeps finding Rachel, not the wedding events. She takes all his thoughts. They dance together and it feels perfect. The ending is a surprise, still involving the missing passport. This was a fun book. Watching two opposites navigate an event together was entertaining. I really enjoyed it.
This read was so cute and relatable. Who hasn’t had the best laid plans amount to naught and have to pivot. The way the characters - yes the main, side, and obscure ones - are all written makes you feel like they could be you or your friends/family. I think I may have been a part of this wedding at some point. It was that kind of relatable. It was a super fun story that kept me involved till the last line.
Another great read from Sherry Aab! Sherry writes her books so you feel like you are in the location with the characters, her description of the scenery and food are awesome. The plot keeps you glued to the page and the characters are so realistic. I can't wait for her next book. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher.
THE WEDDING MISHAP is a fun story about the bride’s best friend (and unofficial wedding planner) working with the groom’s irritating, flirtatious brother to pull off a flawless wedding. I love all the characters, their interactions, and the well paced plot. Sherry Aab’s characters slip into your heart, cosy up, and make themselves at home!
I enjoyed reading this fun little story. But, the ending is just a lead in to the next book. I kind of felt like I was left hanging. The wedding is accomplished. Loved the scene where the mothers got lost. I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
