Jimmy is on a break from his boyfriend August. He’s still in a tailspin because the break was unexpected and demanded by his boyfriend. But when Jimmy returns home to visit his mother and friends, he runs into his high school crush and the pain from his past he has tried to ignore or bury resurfaces.

When his boyfriend subsequently wants to fly down and see Jimmy, Jimmy isn’t sure what to expect. Will Jimmy have to forge a new path in life? And what about the pain from his past ... should he forgive his high school crush?

It was an enjoyable interlude to read this short story that is unexpected and not the traditional romance. Jimmy is on a break in his relationship with August due to August's request. He's down in Orlando visiting his mother and childhood friends for a few weeks, but he doesn't know the terms of the separation or if August will eventually want to get back together again. And, why does August keep texting him? It's an engaging romance that leave everything in a good place. Recommended!

That seriously felt like a conversation between me and a coworker about the fight they had with their boyfriend over the weekend!
