Finally, some examples of spontaneous symmetry breaking are given for classical systems.

I wrote this!
It is a thesis on a rather difficult topic in physics, attempting to describe Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking ina a manner a non-physicist can comprehend. There are some mathematics contained herein, but they are broken down and explained step-by-step. The book also contains a history of symmetry and symmetry breaking, a brief discussion of quantum decoherence, and possible simple real-world experiments to demonstrate spontaneous symmetry breaking.
