Exposed

Untying the Knot

Erik and Allie worked hard to build a life they were proud of. It wasn’t easy, but by the time they reached their forties, they were content. Not just husband and wife, but also mother and father to three energetic boys. Unfortunately, that didn’t leave much time for each other.

This series is their journey to reinvent their intimacy by diving into the world of BDSM. Their love takes them on a year-long exploration of themselves and each other. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of self-discovery to untie the knot of suburban domesticity

It is early summer in Houston, Texas, and Erik is planning a surprise for Allie’s 42nd birthday. He is inspired when his pal Ron forwards him some photos he took, which Erik forwarded on to his “Little Slut.” They are images are of a naked model tied up with jute in a number of provocative poses. Allie LOVES Shabari bondage. On the evening of her birthday Ron arrives with a literal truckload of equipment and records her and “Sir” as she is tied up and used to his satisfaction.
Of course, I am skipping all the good stuff, and one other major surprise, so you have to read the story to find out. Rest assured however that the 16th book in the Untying the Knot series carries on in the same tradition we have come to expect from this literary duo.
The thing that makes Erik and Allie Campbell so special is that they are real. Just like us, they have jobs that are both challenging and boring; they discuss their finances, needed home repairs, vacations with their parents, and help the kids with their homework; together they cook dinner for their three rambunctious boys, kids who get sick, leave messes, and make couch-cushion forts. They even have water-balloon fights with the other kids in the neighborhood and come barging into the house soaking wet. In essence, Skylar and Logan have created a family you want to be friends with and placed them in a setting that calls out to those of us who fondly remember those days. And in each book this loving couple explores a different element of BDSM and their connection with it only draws them closer. Look at the other book titles and you get an idea of how into the Lifestyle that they are. But as Erik says, “You know what my favorite part of all this is? That no matter what we explore together, no matter what new thing catches our attention...at the end of the day, I still just want to be sitting here with you.”
You're going to love this one. I did.

Exposed is part of the Untying The Knot series about Erik and Allie, a couple that had lost the intimacy they once had in their marriage, but after three children and demanding jobs, their sizzle fizzled. This series was about their journey into the world of BDSM as a way to bring back the intimacy in their relationship. In this book, the couple explored photography, thus they are Exposed.

As always, the writing style of Logan Black and Skylar Quinn was impressive, and the plot was tastefully written with a little bit of wit and descriptive prose that will have you reaching for a fan and a cold drink. I liked that there was more mention of their family life in this book, and the impact children, jobs, and life’s demands can have on intimacy. There was more specific mention of their three sons and how demanding parenthood can be. Another excellent book in a fun and smexy series. I definitely recommend it.

This was chef's kiss, as all of these are! I love that while we're getting k!nk!er and more daring in each book, we're also seeing Allie and Erik grow even closer as a married couple. Re-investing in their relationship and trying something new after 20 years of marriage is one of my favorite parts of this series, and why it has stuck so deeply with me.

Also- kudos to the authors on Ch. 2, and the accuracy of their terminology during the shooting range scene. As a firearms instructor for many years, it drives me crazy when those details are wrong. Thank you for ensuring those details were correct!

In Exposure, Eric looks to surprise Allie for her birthday and needs help from their friend Ron with the gift. With their communication and trust, this spicy adventure is enjoyable for all. This series follows a married couple as they experiment with new concepts and prioritize each other amid their busy lives. The characters are realistic and relatable. This book is especially enjoyable, and I anxiously await the next one.

WOW - book 16 in the series and the series continue to be hot and have "normal" family stuff. I have always loved Erik and Allie with their family of 3 boys and their adult time which stays at the top of HOT. Erik and Allie have Ron to their house to take X-rated pictures of them on Allie's birthday. Ron takes video and still photos - hot Hot HOT - the descriptions are WOW. I love this series - Logan and Skylar do it again!!
