Standby for yet another excellent addition to the story of Erik and Allie Campbell. It has been a month since Allie’s photoshoot (Exposed, Book #16) and following a Marvel movie night at the theater with their sons, Allie has a confession to make. Once they are home, Erik catches her running a metal nail file between her breasts, and she admits that ever since her college days she has fantasized about Wolverine/Hugh Jackman and how the knives turned her on. However, “it wasn’t about getting cut, I don’t want to be cut. I had never once wanted to be cut.” In a lighter moment she admits it is not just the feel of the steel that arouses her, “Well, I mean, if its Hugh Jackman wielding it, a dull spoon will do.”
Erik strikes out in his effort to find some Wolverine claws to bring her fantasy to life, but when she admits that it is the feel of the steel that excites her, he has an idea. A few nights later he ties her hands to the headboard and commences to run the cold flat of the blade of a hunting knife up and down her naked skin. The results are predictable. He edges her to the point of madness and then commences another activity that blows her mind. What is it? Read it and find out.
There were a couple of other very important scenes that will no doubt play out in the books to come. One of them concerns Allie outing their lifestyle to a neighbor. This is the second time she has done this, and their carefully guarded secret may become a topic of neighborhood conversation.
The second revelation concerned the expected talk between them about the photoshoot and how they brought Ron into their play when Erik had Allie pleasure him orally. Erik had long said that sharing her was a hard boundary, and now that they had crossed it, what will happen in the future? “We’re in this together,” Allie says, “A package deal. I like the idea of that. Whoever we incorporate, whatever we do, it’s still us at the end of the day, you know.” Erik responded, “I do. And that’s what I like about us, too. But on this wife-sharing thing, let’s take it slow, yeah? I think we should explore it some more, but I don’t want to jump into anything too quickly.”
A door that has been firmly shut has now been cracked open.

Whoo!! Let me fan myself! I love this series, but this one was off the chain HOT! Adding a little "dark romance" feel to this one, while still maintaining that strong, healthty relationship of Allie and Erik. Excellent installment.

I am already a fan of the Untying the Knot series. They are clever, realistic, and hot. Their connection and communication are such a relationship goal throughout the series. Allie confesses a secret fantasy, and Eric does what he does best and makes it happen. Pierced is one of the best in the series. It is funny, witty, grounded, and one of the hottest ones yet!

Another great book in this series - starts with Allie looking at the book of pictures that were taken in book 16. Loved the descriptions of the pictures. Pierced is a little misleading as the title - but Allie tells Erik about one fantasy she has never shared. Another hot scene! Still love the family life included in each story. Great Book - can't wait for the next one!
