When Yatti Alexander, aka Mi Amor, a beautiful young woman grinding through the city’s struggles, signs on as a traditional surrogate, everything is hidden behind NDAs, fake identities, and cash she can’t refuse.
The millionaire father, known only as Mr. Black, wants one thing and he wants it discreetly... an heir to pass on his wealth and ensure financial security for future generations to come.
The ultrasounds say it’s twin boys, exactly what he paid for, but the delivery room doesn’t play by their rules... because in the streets, nothing stays hidden forever… not even the baby he never knew existed.
Shelli Marie gets real creative on titles. When you see it so eye catching, I makes you wanna read what’s it all about. How can she have a fast pace book with a slow burn at the same time. I love how all the kids inadvertently were named a gift from God. I honestly thought Donna would end up with Creed former classmate turned Bishop instead of the we never meet. What happen with Chyna and Creeds was really tragic but he had to go thru the pain to get to the promise of what the possibilities of future love. Yatti and Creeds are fated and went to be. I loved Yatti and Shamaya BFF doesn’t seem to be enough. I also love that a Shamaya found happiness also
What a story. Shelli brought us a heartwarming love story that had many layers: death, depression, family dysfunction, surrogacy, friendships, multiple births and mental illness. The pull that Creed and Yanni had towards each other at their first meeting was quite strong, even though they didn’t know how much they had in common initially. Yanni gave birth to triplets, instead of twins as a surrogate, gave the twin boys up, then discovered that Creed was the father. In the end, Yanni and Creed became one big happy family with the kids.
This was such a cute story to me. There were so many moments where I just wanted one of them to finally blurt out the secret so he could really be there for her. The anticipation had me hooked, and it made every interaction feel even more meaningful. I truly enjoyed watching their connection grow it was sweet, frustrating (in the best way), and so worth the read.
This was a great read. Baby I knew from.the jump something was wrong with Julia when she was going off about his surrogate and what he was doing for her. She acted like he was cheating in her and that she was supposed to come before his children. I'm so happy they ended up together. I need the sister story next let's go
I bypassed this book in my library 3 times. Wow! I was so engrossed with this story I found myself reading “all night long” then 2 days later I forgone everything I planned to do just to finish as my mind wouldn’t let me move on without knowing what happened and how it ended. Ms Marie you did your thing with this one!!
This was a different surrogate story. It was written good. A few mistakes and few errors. At one point she was on the road but the next sentence she was running late and heading out the door.
Shelli, you did the darn thing with this book. I'm loving me some Creed. I love the way it ended, even though I hated to see it end. This is most definitely a must read. Highly recommended.
Yatti got her man and her babies her best friend definitely have her back no matter what and got married to cred. Cred needed closure from hurting when his ex wife and son died and he got that i really enjoyed this book
The story snatched me in from the beginning and it didn’t let me get until the end,. There were a few twists and turns along the way. Loved the character development also. This was my first book of hers but hopefully there’s some more out there for me.
Shelli Marie will put her heart and soul into a good read and she did that with this one her ..no spoilers but I will tell you this anything she touched i read ... I would recommend her books .
