The story keeps you guessing, with secrets unfolding little by little and characters who aren’t as trustworthy as they seem. The pacing is steady, and the tension builds in a way that makes you want to keep reading. Telling the story about two sisters and how even though you think you know is what is unknown. This book shows how even a quiet vacation place on the East Coast can drastically change because of secrets and past summers. Showing how far even people you thought you knew would/will one day betray you just to protect the ones that they love. Honestly, Blackhurst is such a good author that keeps you engaged, and this story was no different.
