Hunted #3
Secrets in the Silence
In the haunting stillness of a Nashville winter, Isabel is trapped in a battle for her life. After a horrific attack leaves her voiceless and filled with terror, she takes a desperate step to regain her life, only to find herself haunted by the choices she's made. Returning to her roots in Tennessee, Isabel encounters Sam Milier, a bar bouncer with a face that evokes bittersweet memories of her lost brother. As their paths collide, mutual recognition ignites an unspoken bond between them, but both are living shadows of their pasts, searching for solace amid their own mysteries. Sam’s fragmented memories and simple life come crashing down when Isabel stumbles into his world, bruised and terrified, awakening a fierce protector inside him. But danger lurks, as a man long thought dead reemerges, determined to erase her from the world entirely. In a night filled with revelations and life-changing truths, Isabel's life teeters on the precipice, forcing her to confront the darkness that has haunted her for far too long.

This series is brilliantly written. Each and every story is captivating and has the reader on the edge of their seat. Isabel has suffered more than in the short span of her life than is conceivable, and yet, she finds a way to survive. I desperately need to read the next book in this series.

This book was a lot. Like… a lot a lot. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but this whole series has been really intense. This one really hit me emotionally and not many books have ever done that.
Watching Isabel try to live her life after everything she’s been through was heartbreaking. She’s still just a kid, and it felt so unfair how much she’s carrying. The way she holds onto her brother, the guilt she puts on herself, the way she blames herself for things that were never her fault, all felt very real and heavy
I couldn’t stop reading, even when I wanted to look away for a minute. And the ending… I absolutely need more. This does not feel finished, and I really hope the story continues.
Five stars, without question. This series will stay with me for a long time

Holy GUACAMOLE! Where do I begin? I'm still trynna process the ending....what a freaking 180 turn. I couldn't put this whole series down. This is the 3rd book in the series. It had me biting my nails, sobbing so much in the first 3 chapters, then again in the next few chapters, then again, then again 😭 the ending left me silently looking at the wall because I had so many feelings running through I needed a minute to process them. S Lynn C, you have emotionally wrecked me again. I can't wait to read whatever you have next for us!

Well to start off... I know there's two other books to this series but I chose to read book 3 first.. it was amazing.. it's had all the thrills and adventure and it just kept you reading... And even through I was backwards reading this book... I wasn't not lost I had my idea through out the story what was what...there not no full moments through the book..I would highly recommend it.. also I did go back and read the other two books already and I hope this story continues!!!!!

If you thought the first two books ripped your heart out buckle up cause you haven't seen anything from this woman yet. You're going to bleed and cry for not only Isabel and what she goes through but the rest of the family and friends as well. It's raw, painful, heartfelt, and full of twists that will have you gripping the edge of your seat.

Isabel is a character who is so relatable, you will cry, scream and yell for her. S. Lynn C. is great on finding a way to rip your heart out as you read. You don't need to read the 1st two to understand what is happening but it helps to understand her pain and journey.
