This is one of those books you can’t put down. Truly. I was staying up late just to finish, I couldn’t get enough of it.
The author did a fantastic job story and character building, and it’s a super easy follow - sometimes when there’s many characters, it’s hard to remember the role of each one, but in this book it’s not complicated at all because each one has unique characteristics. You just know there’s a deeper story behind each character waiting to be unveiled at some point.
The book isn’t super spicy, but there is SO MUCH sexual tension. It keeps you on your toes and makes you yearn to keep reading.
My only complaint is I’ll have to wait for book number two!
An easy 5 stars, I’ll be recommending to all my friends.
It would have been a better book if the story hadn't been dragged out. There wasn't enough background to understand how all the moving parts work together. It was pretty easy to figure out who she was going to bond with. The author didn't explain how she was able to keep the bond a secret. The cliffhanger is used to keep you interested enough to wait for the next book to come out. It's not interesting enough to wait a year for, though. It's pretty easy to figure out where the next book storyline is going. It's not interesting enough to be a 5 book series.
The only only problem is nothing much happens. Even that ending was mehhhh for all we know book 2 will be dragged out as well. Am I here for it? Not sure.... For a RH with that many bonds, we sure did get a lot of Atticus. Sadly I didn't find him that interesting.
Can't tell me none of her bonds wanted to step up right to the end.......
Just throwing it out there, surely the rebels would have been a better bet than the wastes..
At your own risk people. At least the heroine was some what likable.
I read this in one afternoon and it was really well written. There is a lot being done in this genre and I struggle with finishing many of the books I start, but this one was so good. The heroine is strong and likeable, the MMCs are intriguing yet it seems that there is so much about them we are yet to see. The tension is building up and there are hints about what is to happen and which relationships will develop, but it feels that there can be a lot of different paths for the main characters so I'm really intrigued about what's to come.
Wow, this debut is unexpectedly good! I read it straight through with real ease. Even without a prominent, driving plot, I genuinely enjoyed the journey. The FMC strikes a good balance between resilience and vulnerability. She isn’t the kind of character who is described as badass but acts like a doormat. More unusually, she uses her brain–I’d almost forgotten what an rh heroine who thinks with her head rather than her vagina even looks like. Compared to a pre-formed group, I much prefer the mutually antagonistic MMCs, 100% in favor of jealousy and fistfights. I can’t wait for book two!!!
i was very much surprised with this book! for a newbie author, she did a very good job — i was hooked and didn’t take many breaks to finish it.
i love the slow burn and the fact that there are too many men to count in one hand and that they all have their personalities and reasons for being resistant to the bond.
i also like the way the bonds can work, a pre-existing one or a spontaneous one that isn’t all Fate doing her work.
i can also appreciate how things are run by factions kinda like divergent, even if it is about the seven deadly sins… the academy setting is well written and you can see the lessons and classes happening, which is kinda rare for the trope i guess lol
