Detoxify

Rate this book
Detoxify is a book for the ones who have been breaking quietly. For the ones who gave their love to people who did not know how to hold it, who stayed in rooms where their voice was dimmed, who kept choosing others long after those others stopped choosing them. This is for the heart that tried, and tried, and tried—until trying became a kind of self-betrayal.

In these pages, you will find the permission you never to walk away from what hurts, to release the hands that only held you halfway, to loosen the grip of memories that still echo in the dark. Detoxify takes you gently through the pain of letting go and into the quiet rebirth that follows. It reminds you that you are allowed to outgrow people, places, and versions of yourself that were built from survival instead of love.

This book speaks to the part of you that is tired of carrying what was never yours. It is the warmth you hold to your chest on the nights you feel unlovable; the voice that tells you healing is not a punishment but a homecoming. Detoxify is for anyone who is ready to stop settling for the bare minimum and start choosing themselves—fully, fiercely, unapologetically.

If you’ve ever felt lost inside someone else’s storm, if you’ve ever wondered when it will be your turn to feel light again—this book is your turning point. Your reminder that you deserve peace, clarity, softness, and the kind of love that doesn’t cost you your soul.

Start here. Let this be the moment you come back to yourself.

I am not much of a proponent of self-help books, nor am I in the habit of placing much faith in them; however, this one resonates like a voice speaking directly to the wounds of those who have effaced themselves for the sake of love, gradually breaking apart in silence. It guides us through the mourning process that follows letting go, and points toward the possibility of a "silent rebirth." It offers truly useful insights for detoxifying the lives of those caught in destructive relationships.

I loved this book. It has a more self-help feel in Part 1 and offered unique perspectives. Part 2 was more poetry and essays that I equally adored. If you have been healing a broken heart, I'd strongly consider this book if you feel called.

Not so much a story as it is bits of helpful information on detoxifying your life. Definitely words I needed to hear and very well written.

I have never had any interest in anything resembling a self-help book. Quotes from this book started showing up on my page and I felt seen. So I ordered it. I haven’t finished a book in a day in years being a mother of two special needs kids. But I couldn’t put it down. It was just so relatable for me. It was easy to read. And I love the cover.

Just what I needed. It helped me through a difficult time I was going through. Quick read with a lot of very good advice and perspective. Highly recommend, although it was a bit pricey for as thin as it is.

Great Read, Excellent Advice

I've reached a point in my life that many of the premises in this book are things I've already learned and integrated, making it more of a confirmation and less, "new information." I enjoyed it and also wish I'd have had it 20 years ago!!

The only thing I didn't like about this book was that the Kindle version wouldn't work on my Kindle so I had to read it in the desktop app. My Kindle isn't even very old, but I don't want a Kindle Fire tablet.

I have never felt more seen as when I read this book. Read it in one sitting and highlighted so much of things I wanted to remember and read over again.
