6 Finding Redemption Stars
I have mad-love for this series. Just when I didn’t think it could get any better, IT DOES. Redemption Road is a standalone and is part of the Vicious Cycle series. Each book will focus on a MC brother (they are blood brothers too).
Redemption Road is Rev and Annabel’s story.
Katie Ashley really hit the mark for me on this one. I loved Vicious Cycle and I was really excited for Rev’s story. I loved Rev in the first book because he’s a tortured character I just want to find more about. The thing that really worked for me from Redemption Road was the story-line. It was beautiful, sad and all around addictive to read. My heart melted so many times and I seriously wanted to re-read the book after I finished.
Rev is one of the Malloy brothers. He has a dark dark, really dark past. When I started Redemption Road, I was hit in the face with Rev’s past. I was really shocked and I hate to say, instantly hooked. That alone set the tone for the read and I couldn’t ask for a better start. I just felt for Rev, deep in my bones and I knew he would be my kind of Hero.
Annabel is an adorable vet. She has rich parents, but strives to do things on her own. She has a rebellious side to her and unfortunately it cost her. Something happens to Annabel and just like Rev, they both share trouble past.
I love Annabel; she is the sweet against Rev’s roughness. I love how different, yet the same they are. Both Annabel and Rev have terrible things they need to overcome and Rev understands Annabel completely. He understands her pain, fears and problems and because of that, I love him so much! He works really hard to put Annabel back together. Gah, it will make you swoon for him like crazy.
Annabel is a big mess, as she should be and you will feel for her too. She wants to be normal again and she allow Rev to help her. But as Rev continues to work with Annabel, he knows he doesn’t want a relationship. He just doesn’t work that way.
This book is very much like a fairytale romance. I felt like Rev was this dark, but troubled Hero and Annabel was the damsel in distress that needed a Hero to save her. As Rev tries to save Annabel, Rev still has things he needs to overcome.
I can’t stress enough how much I loved this one and how much I love this series. It was a start to finish instant success for me.

5 REV AND ANNABEL STARS
This is the second book in the series set in the Hell's Raiders MC. The first book concentrated on Deacon and Alex - Deacon is the eldest brother. I enjoyed that book very much but I enjoyed this one more. This novel revolves around Rev, the middle brother and Annabel. These two come from absolutely polar opposite backgrounds. She is the socialite daughter of a politician , but is very grounded and she never once comes across as a spoiled sorority girl. She is working towards being a vet, much to her parents chagrin. Then we have Rev. He is a character of stereotypical juxtaposition. On one hand he is the President of a badass MC club, but they are trying so hard to go legit. He has killed people before but he is uber protective and sweet towards those he loves- especially his Momma and his niece. Very cute when the big tough biker won his niece a alligator ballerina at the fair.He has so many layers to him and as a character he was so intriguing. He is well read and smart and has a business degree but he comes out guns blazing when he has to. And he was so badly damaged as a child that he has carried a deep dark secret ever since. Annabel is caught up in a hideous situation but Rev is her rescuer....in more ways than one. Their relationship is NOT instalove- far from it. The really hot scenes between them appear quite late on in the story but they are worth waiting for and in order for this story to work as well as it did, that had to be the case. It is worth mentioning that this book deals with some really hard topics. If rape/abuse is a trigger, be aware that this book explores that in depth but it is done superbly well.
Really good read. Looking forward to Bishop's story next.

I have to say I really loved this one, maybe even more then the first one. Definitely looking forward to more from this series.

In the first book, my favorite character was Rev Malloy. I was glad to discover that he would be the hero in the very next book. Happily, Rev continued to be an engaging character and even more so when the author revealed so much more about him and turned him into a veritable knight on shining Harley.
This second installment would work as a standalone in a pinch, but the reader would see obvious connections to the first book a few different times in the story as the first book's characters are very present.
Rev along with Bishop get a call for help that is personal to him and the Raider brother who calls him. Breakneck's daughter was kidnapped by a rival club in Texas who abducts young women and sells them to a Mexican human trafficker across the border. Their rescue operation is moderately successful and Rev ends up saving Annabel Percy, a powerful Senator's daughter, during the raid of Mendoza's compound.
Annabel was taken two months before and sold to Mendoza who runs the sex slave trade for American girls. Her hopes slowly withered and died and then just after Mendoza beat her within an inch of her life, she is rescued by a hard-bitten biker. Rev becomes her life line. She is overwhelmed with feelings of self-loathing and a desire to give up and she feels like it would have been better to die. Rev says he understands and she lashes out in anger until she hears his story and learns that he really and truly does understand as most others cannot.
They open up to each other and develop trust. Annabel slowly heals in the safe and warm arms of the Raiders MC, Rev's family, and with Rev. However, both think they are unworthy of each other and meanwhile, Mendoza plots revenge.
There were aspects of book one that really didn't work for me, but I decided to give book two a chance especially since it was Rev's book. I have to say that some of the stuff that bugged me- mostly to do with the previous heroine- are not present in this one. Annabel was raped and endured so much that her road to recovery is naturally tenuous and hard. She is a whole different personality and as such this book was a much more engaging read for me.
As to Rev, while I don't think he was the stuff of which typical fictional MC Presidents are made in that he didn't have that assertive alpha quality, he did have a quiet commanding presence that people respect and listen to. His brother, Deacon, from the first book and the current MC Vice President was more that personality as is his younger brother Bishop, but in retrospect, I'm not disappointed that he was something different. It turns out that he was just right to handle having a rape and abuse victim for his love interest. Now does he screw things up with his own inner demons screaming at him? Yep, but he is well aware of it and knows to express his words of remorse even if Annabel isn't ready to receive them right away. He's also so very close to his family and that were cute and heartwarming scenes.
"You seem to get along well with Bishop."
Rev grinned. "Ah, yes, my dear, sweet baby brother who should have been here half an hour ago with dinner." After he laughed, he added, "Yeah, he's my best friend. Along with our older brother."
"What about your mother?"
The amusement in Rev's face was replaced with such a look of admiration and tenderness that it caused an ache in my chest. "She's my hero. Everything good and decent that I am is because of my mother."
His endearing words, along with the conviction with which he spoke, momentarily left me speechless.

There was a scene with Alexandra, the previous heroine, that again, had me grinding my teeth over her mean mouth. And unlike Rev, she doesn't remember what an apology is and leaves it as understood that she didn't mean what she said.
The action and danger in this one took a backseat to the character and romance development, but the reader always knows its there simmering in the background and not knowing when that pot will boil over. Mendoza was an evil fiend and I really wanted him to come to a long drawn out painful end.
The romance takes its time and develops at a believable rate for a rape survivor. I will put out a caution for folks with triggers from rape scenes. There are at least two flashbacks and nightmares that don't get overly descriptive, but do reference back to the rapes. So yeah, they start out with comfort and then companionship to friendship, and finally tentative attraction. It was great to see them playful and later, passionate. What a lovely couple they are and I nearly swooned at several scenes. I wasn't exaggerating at Rev's knightly hero qualities.
My rational mind told me to be frightened of him. He was a stranger- a strange man at that. He towered over me with muscles that could inflict great harm. But everything I needed to know about him was in his eyes. Searching them showed me that he was a gentle giant, and he seemed like someone I could trust.
At what must've seemed like my continued apprehension, Rev held his hands up. "I'm not going to hurt you, I swear. As long as I have a breath in me, no one is ever going to hurt you again. You're safe."
I stared at him, weighing his words. "Y-You saved me," I whispered.

All in all, this was a good comeback for me when I wasn't sure after the first book. Bishop's book is next and he's such a loud-mouthed, arrogant manwhore that love will totally cut him off at the knees I think. Might be fun to read, right? Anyhoots, this was a slightly gritty on the action, passionate romance, but mild on the MC stuff contemporary romance that I would recommend to those who enjoy such stories.

Il terribile passato di Rev, che lui ha fin ora tenuto nascosto a tutta la famiglia è la chiave che lo aiuta a salvare Annabel dal baratro oscuro in cui è caduta dopo il rapimento e le terribili sevizie subite da Mendoza. È la ragione che la porta a rialzarsi e a farsi aiutare a guarire, e il racconto del percorso faticoso, doloroso e catartico che decidono di intraprendere insieme è il fulcro di questo libro che è bello, drammatico e ugualmente romantico, che tratta temi molto forti ma che non li sminuisce, con due protagonisti feriti e fragili che si fanno forza insieme e che insieme superano le loro ferite.
Mi è piaciuto Rev, serio e posato, un uomo di cui ci si può fidare, leale fino al sacrificio personale, di sani principi nonostante le attività dei Raiders non siano tutte lecite, colto per essere un byker, uno di quegli uomini ai quali non si riesce proprio a resistere, del resto si intuiva che il suo personaggio era forte sin dal primo libro e in molte aspettavano questo secondo capitolo per poter leggere la sua storia.
L’autrice, della quale vi avevo già detto che mi piace molto lo stile di scrittura, gli ha affiancato l’unica figura di donna possibile per un uomo come lui, Annabel, ragazza seria e di buona famiglia catapultata suo malgrado in un inferno da cui raramente si torna ma soprattutto non si torna intere. Solo un animale ferito poteva toccare il cuore di un altro animale ferito e permettergli di prendersi cura di lui, così come lui si prende cura di lei. Il loro rapporto è a tratti struggente, delicato e fragile ma l’amore che ne nascerà renderà invincibili entrambi. Continua su CrazyForRomance

This is the second book in the series and I really don’t know why I didn’t write a review for this one as I preferred it more than the first one. It was all because of Rev Malloy.
It was many and many a year ago,

Annabel Percy is a politician’s daughter and she wanted to live life on the wild side and made a huge mistake. She ended up a sex slave with a cartel in Mexico.
The Hells Raiders MC are going legit that is until Rev gets a phone call that Breakneck’s daughter has been kidnapped. They follow her to Mexico to the cartel but are too late. But they save Annabel. Annabel can’t and won’t go back to the life that she once led. That Annabel died in the hell of the cartel.
She feels safe with Rev and they get closer, trust is built and love flourishes that is until Rev makes a mistake. As all men do but he pays the price.
This is grittier than the first one and for the love of God there are a lot of triggers that people might not be able to deal with.
Not my best review but read the book as my review can’t do it justice enough.

She feels safe with Rev and they get closer, trust is built and love flourishes that is until Rev makes a mistake. As all men do but he pays the price.
This is grittier than the first one and for the love of God there are a lot of triggers that people might not be able to deal with.
Not my best review but read the book as my review can’t do it justice enough.

This story jumped in right after book one. I was delighted for the way the author ties the series together. This is "Revs" love story. This read can be a trigger for someone who unfortunately have been kidnapped or rape so beware. The way the story flows will have you crying and cringing. The miraculous sex scenes are intense and well thought out. Kudos Ms. Ashley for bringing together two broken people and putting them back together.

As a whole, I had liked VICIOUS CYCLE, which was the first book in the series, but REDEMPTION ROAD far surpasses my like, this book was raw, emotional and Katie Ashley gets an applause from me for handling all the "difficult" parts with delicacy and respect for the victims.
I think I had loved Rev from the moment we meet him in VC, but he really takes the cake in REDEMPTION ROAD. He is rough and touch, but caring and loving, doing anything in his power to show this girl that she can heal and be a "woman" again, with the love of a VERY sexy biker...
I definitely liked Annabel. Ever after all she'd been through, she fights, and I like a heroine who fights and doesn't spend the whole book playing "victim". I wouldn't have wanted anyone else for Rev.
Excited for the next in the series, LAST MILE! Katie Ashley definitely did this one right!

Why do I do this to myself? Do I secretly get a kick out of annoying myself so much? I mean, I knew... I KNEW!... what was going to happen from beginning to end and I still kept reading. *bangs head on wall* I think I need a support group. Hello, my name is Denise, and I make bad choices. I continuously select books that I know I will not like in the hopes that it will give me what I am looking for. That first high. That lose yourself in a story place. The one out of every few hundred that make me glad to be an avid reader. Where are those books?

Wow. That was sooo much better than Vicious Cycle! I wasn't expecting for this book to start off with where it did, and how intense it was. It made me very uncomfortable and I wasn't sure about continuing, but I'm so glad I did. I loved these characters! I loved how resilient they both were. Now to finish up with Bishop's book, and after reading the synopsis of Last Mile, I can't wait to see what Katie has in store!

Holy freaking hell! This book is cray cray! If you're more into foo foo romance books that make even the shittiest situation somehow seem nice, then this book is not for you! There are some very prickly subjects within the confines of these pages. Some of the not so nice things life can throw at you and then some. Dig your heels in, grab a beer, a smoke, some chocolate, and a box of tissues cause you're gonna need it!
Nathaniel "Rev" Malloy is fanfuckingtastic. He's like the sleeping giant. He doesn't seem to have much dialogue in the preceding book Vicious Cycle, therefore I didn't feel like I really knew him too well until I laid my eyes on the pages of Redemption Road. This is a complex man. A man that has seen and been through some horrific ordeals and came out a tad bit fucked up on the other side. Rev has an enormous heart, he just chooses to keep it closed... until he comes to the realization that opening his heart and soul may just be what the doctor ordered to help a certain beautiful redhead with her demons!
Annabel is an exceedingly tough woman! To be violated, to be humiliated, and to be emotionally damaged like she was and still be able to hold her head up high and function fairly normal was a fete within itself. She comes from a privileged background, but you wouldn't know it. This girl is the epitome of benevolence. She'd give you the shirt off her back and never think twice about it. When she meets Rev, I just knew those two would fit together like missing puzzle pieces. Swoon!
The supporting character cast is what it is... Deacon from VC is back and Alexandra his blushing bride... Those two are still my faves. Still making me laugh and cry! Willow is my one of the best written "kid parts" ever written... That kid makes me giggle uncontrollably. I can't wait to see how our Bishop shapes up in the future! And of course there's always the villian... Mendoza is the perfect candidate! Wow, I mean, wow that guys is an asspipe with an capitol A!!!!
Well, this is definitely a darker read. Not uber dark, but dark enough to shy away some of the squeamish readers. It's funny and tragic and unexpected. The characters are incredibly relatable and their dialogue flows with ease and feels natural. It's 336 (Kindle version) pages long and I was glued to it cover to cover!

I have to give up on this one. This isn't a bad book, but I just can't take it seriously. The tone of the book just doesn't mesh with the storyline or the characters' experiences. It's a little too shallow for me, considering the seriousness of the plot outlined. Maybe I'm putting my own preconceived opinions on the characters and expecting them to act a certain way (an issue that's brought up in the book, ironically), but, regardless, I don't care for this book. In essence, it feels like a cop-out, and instead of a story with layers and emotion, I was reading something watered-down and insubstantial. At least the first 40% was. I'm not in the mood to find out if the rest gets better. Deuces.
I'd give what I read 2.5 stars.

Another book that just wasn't for me. I'll go into more detail in my review (that's to come) but this book was slow going and then like Vicious Cycle, the hero and heroine drove me up the wall. Now I've read the blurb for Bishop's book and ugh, I don't want to read his book which bums me out since I wanted his story but I could tell his story will drive me just as crazy as books 1 & 2.

I so wanted to love this story as it got a lot of great reviews...however...I started skimming early. I know it's hard to skim when you have 1st person changing POV and they sound alike. I have too many books on my TBR and I no longer force myself to finish every book I start.

Poor Rev, such a past for a young boy, but that tragedy is what has helped shape Rev into the man he is today. He's compassionate, he's empathetic, he's sweet, he's loyal, and he's fierce when he needs to be. You couldn't ask for a better person to save you when you need it the most.
Annabel may have been raised in a socialite political family but it didn't define her. Instead she had goals and ambitions to carve her own path. This desire to want to be different however lead her astray. One wrong choice gave her devastating consequences. Now living in the pits of hell, and on death's door, the last thing she expected was to be saved from an avenging angel.
After being saved, Annabel feels lost except when it comes to her savior, Rev. From the beginning she feels safe with him.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I swear. As long as I have a breath in me, no one is ever going to hurt you again. You're safe."
Not knowing what she wants to do, she turns to Rev, because the last place she wants to go is back to her parents, and now her college life isn't safe any more. The only choice she thinks she has is to follow Rev back to Georgia.
"Now tell Annabel you're sorry that you were a selfish prick and you would be happy to have her visit us in Georgia."
These two pasts have damaged them, and now they are left with some choices. To move forward or let the damage eat them whole.

They both have to battle their own demons, but together there's hope for something more. Gah! Rev is such a softie. I love him.

I snorted. "I think a baby deer living in my house will be hard not to notice."
The battle between right and wrong is a tough one and sometimes we make decisions we think are right but in the end are very, very wrong.
"He should have known keeping secrets never does any good. Maybe things
could have been different if he had only been honest." She glanced up at
me. "Maybe you'll learn from his mistakes."

Happiness is not easy in most worlds, but especially the world of the MC. But Rev and Annabel will fight for what they both want, need and deserve.

I absolutely adore Rev. Sure he may be a bit too soft within the MC world but I still loved him.
Somehow two broken people had found the other half that completed them and made them whole.
Annabel was strong, when her tragedy could have made her weak. Instead she chose to move forward and live. She didn't let her past define her. Yes it changed her, but she adapted with the new Annabel. With this new version of herself, she got so much more.
Did I adore this book? Yes! Was it super dark and gritty? No, it had darker elements but it was a nice balance between dark and light. Favorite character? Tie between Rev and Willow. Will I continue to read this series? Hell, yeah I can't wait for Bishop's story.

Oh man. Who knew I would be such a sucker for a motorcycle romance? This is the second book to this series and, I've got to say, I loved it even more than the first!
Annabel Percy is tired of going out with the straight-laced guys her politician father would approve of. But one error in judgment leads Annabel to being kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. As president of the Hell's Radiers, Nathaniel "Reverend" Malloy will do anything for his men. Going after the captured daughter of one of his members is a no brainer, but when he ends up saving a beautiful, but heavily damaged woman, Rev will do everything to nurse her back to help and protect her from the men who hurt her so deeply.
Starting off, this book is definitely a very slow building romance. This deals with some pretty heavy topics seeing as Annabel was raped and violated by a very horrible man before Rev rescued her. Obviously she's not going to want to start anything physical soon, but I loved the connection she felt for Rev and how safe she felt with him. The roots of the relationship really formed before it became anything more.
Speaking of Rev, can we swoon over him for a second? Many romances love the whole bad boy trope where he's a total player and smooth with the ladies. While Rev has had his fair share of women, he never brags about it and he's so gentle and sweet with Annabel. I mean, seriously, Annabel pretty much swoons throughout the entire book over how sweet and caring Rev is towards her as she's healing. I knew that the ending event was coming since it was hinted at pretty early on in the book, but I was still on the edge of my seat, hoping for the HEA that these characters deserved.
If you like motorcycle romances, you HAVE to pick up the Vicious Cycle series. There are hot men, strong-willed women who can put up with those hot men, and a loving family that you feel yourself become a part of as you read. I can't wait to continue on in this series and watch another Malloy brother fall in love.

I really enjoyed this read and liked Deacon from book 1 even more in this installment then I did in his own book. Deacons adorable daughter also had a few appearances in this installment and she was just as cute as ever. The star of this book was definitely Rev. He had a way with Annabelle that was so sweet and he definitely is on my favorite book boyfriends list. They bonded in a way that most couples could not. This book is not the usual dirty mc club and this may turn some off. I personally hate mc's who are whores and druggies , talk in slang ect. This made this mc series perfect for me. These are good bad guys. This book may have some triggers for some and deals heavily on the subject of rape. If you are okay reading about this subject this is a great love story. I would add that the ending felt a tiny bit rushed for me but it may have been because I was so tired and couldn't sleep until I finished this book. ;) I was really looking for some closure on Breakneck's daughter that I just didn't feel we received. I am wondering if the author is holding that out as a surprise for the next installment but I doubt it. That's the only two reasons I did not rate this one 5 stars.

When I read about Rev in Vicious Cycle, I was very interested to be learning more about him, since he seemed to be a really good guy. So, I was excited that his book was next in the series.
Both Annabel and Rev have been through a lot with their pasts. Rev ended up saving Annabel from hell, and because of that, they bonded. This was such an emotional book. The things that happened to both of them were horrible—though they ended up being able to help each other heal.
Redemption Road made me cry, but it also made me smile. Katie Ashley wrote about this dark topic well. It wasn't sugarcoated. The things they went through weren't easy but over time, it got better. I loved this book and all the emotion it brought out. This is a great series by Katie Ashley and I can't wait to read about Bishop next in his book, Last Mile. ~ Leah, 5 stars

Really? A part of the vicious cycle series?
I found this book very disappointing. It can hardly even be compared to others in the series. Annabelle came across as a complete airhead.
And Rev turned into the biggest biker wussy ever. The whole thing was just disgusting. I'm extremely sorry I bought this book then wasted time reading it when there are so many better ones on the market. I have read all the others in the series and this one stunk. Don't think I'll bother with Bishops story as I can't be sure it will be any better than this one. It was like ms. Ashley just wanted to finish the story and get paid instead of thinking through the storyline and keeping these guys bikers instead of turning them into a bunch of wimps.

Rounding up to 3.5 RATING- I'm a little disappointed with this one. I really liked the first book in the series but Redemption Road fell a little flat for me. I just never got pulled into the story the way I wanted. I'm surprised too. The writing was good, and I love a good damsel in distress story...I'm not really sure why this didn't rate higher for me.
A couple notes, while this is a MC book, expect MC-Lite. Also, because of the story line and the heroine's history, no real steam in the book until the last quarter of the story.

For a motorcycle club, these boys sure are sweet! Book 2, Gotta love the Rev - the horrible and tragic circumstances in this book were handled with such care! I think what really makes this series are all the family members, how can you not love them all! My only complaint...and I can't believe I am even saying this - I think I need more angst..and less insta-love. But, it's a short book....short and sweet! Edited to add - I didn't end up reading book 3 - I just wasn't feeling it...maybe someday!

Being around a MC Club is a whole new experience for the uptown girl. But it is a life and a group of people that show her more love and respect than she has known in her whole life. And with the new found support, Annabel begins the long process of healing and trying to move on.
Annabel and Rev's tentative bond grows into a friendship and both begin to feel something more. But Rev has definite opinions on how things should proceed...or not proceed. He is stubborn, fearful of pushing her or impeding her healing, and has his own feelings of unworthiness holding him back. He thinks his reasons are right and noble, but he only succeeds in pushing her away and feeding on her own insecurities. Sometimes I wanted to smack sense into him even though I could understand some of his reasoning.
And Annabel does not want to be seen as damaged or fragile, so it is difficult for her to be treated as such. She is tenacious, smart, and a survivor. So despite their connection, attraction, and growing feelings, they are living in a kind of limbo. Eventually, the man who is used to fighting for anything he needs to is going to have to make a choice about whether to fight for her or let her go. And with all of his confusion and fear, it is not a given that he will make the right decision for either of them.
And there are still threats and issues lurking in the background that could rear their ugly head at any time and put them both in extreme danger. They are two people from diverse backgrounds brought together by horrible circumstances, but trying to find a chance at happiness.
This is a story about survival, coping, opening up, trust, hope, and healing. It is told in both points of view allowing us full access to their complex feelings and fears. It is traumatic, emotional, heart breaking, suspenseful, humorous, sweet, and heartfelt with a rough edge due to the MC club and cartel involvement.
I loved being back with the Hell's Raiders. It was fun catching up with Deacon, Alexandra, and precocious Willow and to see how their little family is progressing. And to also visit with Bishop, Mama Beth and the rest of the Raiders. This is a tight knit group that stands together and is trying to go more legit in business matters. I love the rapport and banter between all of them. I am looking forward to Bishop's book Last Mile and more with all of these characters.

And with all of his confusion and fear, it is not a given that he will make the right decision for either of them.
And there are still threats and issues lurking in the background that could rear their ugly head at any time and put them both in extreme danger. They are two people from diverse backgrounds brought together by horrible circumstances, but trying to find a chance at happiness.
This is a story about survival, coping, opening up, trust, hope, and healing. It is told in both points of view allowing us full access to their complex feelings and fears. It is traumatic, emotional, heart breaking, suspenseful, humorous, sweet, and heartfelt with a rough edge due to the MC club and cartel involvement.
I loved being back with the Hell's Raiders. It was fun catching up with Deacon, Alexandra, and precocious Willow and to see how their little family is progressing. And to also visit with Bishop, Mama Beth and the rest of the Raiders. This is a tight knit group that stands together and is trying to go more legit in business matters. I love the rapport and banter between all of them. I am looking forward to Bishop's book Last Mile and more with all of these characters.

It hurts to read about the victims of the rape. It hurt me to read about Annabel and Rev. and I think the pain actually made me so much sympathized with them that I wanted to believe in their relationship and their happy ending no matter how cheesy and romantic it was. Both Annabel and Rev were the victims of Rape. I could never said who got it worse because there was nothing to compare. A victim is a victim and they all had their sufferings.. may be not the same but suffering and pain nonetheless. And that made Annabel and Rev's relationship bittersweet and I truly happy for both of them.

Annabel was a sex slave. She was a result of a single bad decision and I felt that it was an important thing to point out that in reality, this can be definitely true. The possibility of getting on a vehicle with a handsome unknown stranger and expecting safety is really stupid and I know many romance books started that way and ended up with a nice guy who became a love of your life but please never expect it in real life. You would probably never find it. Anyway, Annabel's situation really showed that... well in her case, her bad decision led her to being gang-raped and then sold to a cartel mobster... which was even worse... but no.. her suffering did not end there.... she was almost beaten to death when she was pregnant with her rapist's child. She miscarriage it and through surgery that saved her life, she lost the ability to be pregnant ever again. It was a sad traumatized and anguish situation for her. I felt her pain. It would hurt any woman just to lose the ability to have children. Her life was better with a arrival of Rev. and it might seemed stupid but she gained the ability to see the monster in a man and she saw none of that in Rev.
Rev was a good man. and he deserved Annabel even if he, himself, was necessary evil. His hands was not totally cleaned. he had killed before, even if it was for better purposes. But what I and Annabel loved most about him was his consciousness, his knowing that his wrong-doings would never be cleansed or justified by any good reasons. He lived with his sins. He might not be a good person in the eyes of the society but in his heart, he was ultimately a good person with better heart.
These two was so great a characters that I loved this book very much despite a few short-comings I found in the books. the overall story was well written and as usual, there was a very strong female character that I really loved.
A few minor offs from me.
1. I didn't like the part where Cheyenne was kicked off her bartender duty just because Alex wanted her gone. As I mentioned in the first book, I didn't think of Cheyenne as a major bitch. she didn't deserved to be fire just because she loved Deacon (I think) and unless the author writes something additional about her that show her bitchiness. I would stand my ground.
2. I felt really sad for Breakneck. I truly wished that Sarah did not died.
3. I wanted to see the villains involved got what they deserved. I wanted to see Johnny getting the taste of his own medicine. I didn't know if I missed out anything in the book but I didn't see it and I really felt pouty for not seeing them suffering. I knew I'm a psycho but I really want to read about it. the more painful and gruesome the better. I really thought how Alex killed her villain off in the first book was brilliant.. well stupid but BRILLIANT!!. I knew Mendoza did suffer. I just really wanna read more about it.
4. I knew with Mendoza gone, so was his organization and his human-trafficking but I really wanna know more if the whole thing was truly destroyed. (obviously that would be like in my dreams but well, we are reading fiction book here so I wanted the world to be rid of all this nasty crime.)
Overall I loved the book very much. 4.5 Stars

Redemption Road is a sweet love story, written in Katie Ashley’s familiar style. Yes, terrible things happen – also to the main characters – but it isn’t described in an explicitly brutal way. This story is about healing—how the love between two damaged people can heal them, make them better, and make peace with the past. I also really enjoy to see the main couple from the previous book Vicious Cycle, Deacon and Alexandra. Deacon’s daughter, Willow, is still as funny and cute as before and the relation between Rev and his mother and brothers is strong. I still consider this series as biker-light – I have read many MC books—and a less raw and gritty story is refreshing once in a while.

I’ve truly enjoyed being back in the world of the Hells Raiders. I’ve loved the first book in this series, and the second book is a great addition. I give this story 4 stars.
