Another dead alien. Ethan Blake and his partner Jenkins need to get as much evidence and info as they can before the FBI comes and takes it all away. There has been a lot of things swept under the rug. Lady Lyra of Atlan has a job to do. She has been on Earth for 3 yrs trying to track down the Silver Scion. This may be her lead. But keeping hidden is tricky and realizing that the human male is her mate is another worry. When time starts running short, she has no choice but to reveal herself but others are not far behind wanting the evidence and the body. When Ethan and Lyra have to team up to find the Scion, their chemistry burns hot. But Lyra is experiencing what the male Atlan’s do, mating fever. She needs to appease her beast to keep in control.

I have to say, this is a really good turnabout. We finally get to find out what happens when it is a female alien, an Atlan no less. Lyra was as shocked as we all of us that she could have the fever as well. And when Ethan and she get together, HOLY MOLY. It is nonstop with these two. Man, I was sweating just reading about it. I feel for Ethan and Jenkins. Their loss is heartbreaking. And what Lyra went through, OMG. I wanted to cry, cheer, and scream. One name HELION. UGH! She defiantly did not deserve all that. Thank goodness Ethan realizes that she is his forever. I am glad to read about our other Atlan’s especially Kovo. Now we need to rescue Reji from his mission before it destroys him. Can’t wait for “Dauntless.”

Lyra and Ethan

This is a reverse story for this universe. Lyra is an Atlan female who meets a human police detective who her, previously unknown, 'beast' claims as a mate. Atlan females don't have beasts, but Lyra has been played with by the dastardly Commander Helion and she is not quite normal. Doesn't matter for the mating fever problem, Ethan is as nuts for her as she is for him. There are problems to solve and battles to fight and connections with earlier stories that fill in the story. Fun!

wanted more

Was thrilled to read about female gen altered hybrid Alt.
Wished the last part of book glimpse of other books was cut to two pages and more of the couples getting to know each other was added instead. Did not believe that he would suddenly go from hating aliens to love after sex. Or would not have major mental hurdles to work through afterwards to grow into healthy couple. Definitely wanted to read of them having children.

Another of Grace Goodwin's Brides I couldn't put down. Especially as the MFC is one I'd been waiting to see for a long time (almost as long as seeing a certain female get her second chance at a happily ever after!!! 😂).
Thank you Grace for an enjoyable few hours under the covers on a very cold Winter's day.
I can't wait for the next installment.

Yes! I loved this book and Grace delivered as always! The spice was on point and diving in deeper into the lengths of what the Coalition IC will do to further get an advantage over the hive was such a great line.
I also really loved there being an Alien female joining the Coalition. It's not just a male's universe.

Will Lyra and Ethan get their revenge?
I loved this book! Lyra and Ethan are marvellous characters and it was wonderful to see other characters I had met before from Earth as part of this story. The twists and turns kept coming and were very unexpected. The pace of the adventure was just right and so was the ending. I can’t wait for the next book in this series or any other series in this world. Another winner!
