I wasn't going to end the year without reading a Christmas mafia book by Penny Dee. It's everything I hoped it would be.

The plot was interesting right up to the end and had some twists I didn't expect.

Nikolai is the pakhan of his bratva, but he shows us his more protective and tender side with Holly. She is torn from her life and, although she doesn't accept her situation, she finds herself surrounded by dangers she doesn't understand. She feels safe with Nikolai, and they are going to have an intense Christmas.

I like Penny's writing style; her scenes of passion or violence are a pleasure to read.

This was a really good enemies to lovers Bratva mafia romance. Holly witnessed a murder, the killer was Nikolai. I man she had met earlier & chatted to at a gala.
She runs & tries to escape but Nikolai finds her quickly & takes her to Alaska. Fearing for her life, expecting the worst. Things take a twist, she is forced to marry Nikolai.
A snow storm traps them in the house together. Nikolai saves her from her murder attempt on their lives but was Nikolai the pakhan the target, not just him, but why?
Huge secrets come out about Holly’s past that she has no idea of…
This was a short & steamy at times mafia romance & I loved it.

First of all, the cover is wonderful. Holly thinks she is having a bad night when she watches her just recently ex paw all over another woman. It gets much worse when she witnesses a murder and is taken hostage. The plot thickens significantly throughout the book. Holly and Nikolai are explosive and their adventure is entertaining and sweet. I mean sweet, if you like morally grey thinking, protective behavior at any cost and spicy passion. And I do. I read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I just love Penny Dee’s writing style — it flows effortlessly and keeps you engaged from start to finish.

I really enjoyed the MCs, Holly and Nikolai. This is a quick, easy read with great chemistry between them and a wee twist in Holly’s story that I didn’t see coming.

Nikolai’s OTT “touch her and die” Bratva vibes were everything. Protective, intense, and exactly what I want in a hero.

Overall, this was a really good read.

Nikolai and Holly have a wonderful moment before everything turns dangerous. Holly doesn’t know what lengths Nikolai will go to keep her safe. Kidnapping wasn’t something she thought would ever happen to her but oh did it turn out for the best! Secrets will be revealed and they will find their happy ending ❤️ Loved their love story 🖤

This one seemed like several chapters were missing at the very begining..

We launch straight into Holly angry that her "boyfriend" cheated and she caught him sleeping with her boss the night before but she doesnt seem angry enough for it to seem like an actual issue.

One minute later a man says something to her and one look at Nikolai and all is forgotten.

2 minutes later and she is kidnapped by Nikolai and taken to another state.

The next night they are getting married.

The next night she sleeps with him because he helped her through a panic attack 😒🙄 please

The FMC was annoying. It was like the author went back and forth on making her strong, weak, strong, weak.. it was so annoying and made her unlikeable.

There was a very vague explanation in the third act as to why he had to marry her, why he had to kidnap her.. it was all rushed and vague.
And the twist (if you can call it that) was pretty stupid.

I usually like Penny Dee books but this read like a teenage fan fic.
There was literally a chapter on Nikolai asking Holly what love is 🙄🙄 are we 12?? WTF this guy is supposed to be older and head of the Bratva.

Holly seems to not give any care about her "nana" or job or anything.
She happily let Nikolai just rule over her life because you know he is good looking.. have some self respect for crying out loud.

My favourite eye roll.. "everything we have has been built on a lie".. girl you have known him for like a week (maybe at this point) and he black mailed you every step of the way to get what he wanted.. come on seriously.

"Tears for the man I thought i loved" (you met him a few days ago and he kidnapped and forced you to marry him)
"for the fairy tale i believed in" sorry when was your fairy tale mentioned that you wanted to be kidnapped by a pakhan and forced into marriage... this is so stupid 🙄 😒

That ending was ridiculous.
Your telling me in a room with 8 made men (which includes 2 pakhans).. 1 guy was able to take them all down and a woman without not 1 of them taking a shot at him... come on lets be realistic.

And why the hell is there 6 pakhans in a small area .. huh how does that work it would just be constant war between them trying to own areas and business lines.
Atleast make them 6 other types of power players.. mafia/cartel/bratva/Cosa Nostra/Yakusa/Triads/bikers... there is so many to choose from.
If your going to move to mafia romance you need to know the world.

Translations would be nice.. it was annoying having to stop and look up words because they were never translated.

This book just wasnt it.
Hopefully it was a lapse for Penny and just a rush job to get a "christmas" book out.
She might want to go back to MC stories as Mafia i dont think is it for her.

In Snowed in with the Bratva, Holly is taking a small break from her work when she hears some sounds and follows them. It leads her into an alley and she accidentally stumbles into someone getting murdered. The murderer turns and looks at her and sadly, it’s Nikolai, the same guy she was flirting with earlier. She tries to run and hide but he eventually catches her and kidnaps her. He takes her away to a remote cabin, but tells her it’s for her safety. Even worse, a snow storm passes through leaving them trapped together. She demands why. What will happen when she finds out that he’s Bratva and has been watching her and knows more about her than she does herself?

Nikolai is the pakhan. His loyalty is to the bratva. When we first meet him, he is flirting with Holly but he gets interrupted after meeting her. The next time he sees her, she sees him kill someone a few feet away. She is frozen scared and doesn’t run until he turns and sees her watching. Now he is after her and when he finds her, he kidnaps her. He takes her away to a remote cabin. However, he assures it is for her safety. Not only does he hide her away, he also marries her. Again,he says it is for her safety. The chemistry is there and the attraction is undeniable. When they finally give in to their desires they get to know each other. But, the truth is that Nikolai knows more than he is saying but the things he tells her could shatter her world.

Penny Dee kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt bad for Holly. She gets taken and it is told it is for her safety but all she wants is answers. She is very attracted to Nikolai but refuses to admit it. Nikolai also cared too much for her and felt the guilt eating at him hiding the truth. Their scenes were hot and the banter between them was so hilarious. However, this was an emotional roller coaster. I was expecting a small Christmas Novella instead I got an action packed dark mafia romance set at Christmas time. This is an age gap, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers with a feisty, stubborn woman and an obsessive, jealous, and possessive billionaire. He screams touch her and die vibes the minute he decides to marry her. It is filled with drama, danger, secrets, banter, and some shocking twists.

As soon as I found out this was mafia mixed with Christmas I was in fact sat. Then I found out our MMC Nikolai is RUSSIAN and I knew this was going to be the perfect book to kick off my year.

Whilst this book was short compared to many other mafia romance books I have read, it still packed a punch and was such a great read!

My man Nikolai is the pakhan of the Russian Bratva. He is ruthless when he needs to be, he does come across as a little bit cold and demanding however he is also incredibly protective right from the start. Add on the fact that he kinda sorta maybe kidnaps our FMC Holly and I was totally obsessed. You know what they say red flags are just green lights right. Nikolai is on a mission to keep Holly safe no matter the cost however we don’t find out why that is until further in the book. Let’s just say I understand why this man acted like a total caveman and whisked her away.

Our girl Holly just has terrible luck when it comes to dating and apparently her bad luck also extends to witnessing an assassination executed by none other than Nikolai the guy she was intrigued by. Like any normal girl she runs and does try to pack up and leave town as quickly as possible however she is unsuccessful. With no other choice but to go with this Russian Mafia king she vows that she will in fact find a way to escape. She’s also hella pissed that she will be missing Christmas with her Nan and boy does she make that known especially when she calls out Nikolai for being the grinch due to his lack of Christmas decor.

I loved the banter between our main characters right from the beginning. I definitely laughed quite a few times as a result and this only improved the reading experience for me. Also the whole protective aspect on Nikolai’s behalf even when Holly had no idea why he was doing what he was had me addicted. This girl is also incredibly sassy so again another reason as to why I loved her. Above this though, I loved how Holly felt safe whenever she was with him and also grew attached. I was not expecting the plot twist in this once though I will just say that. I would definitely recommend this book though.

Holly’s day goes from bad to worse as she watches her newly-declared ex paw at Holly’s boss in public. Things look up briefly when she meets a gorgeous stranger but things take a dire turn when she witnesses a murder, gets kidnapped and is forced to marry the beautiful, brooding man. She can’t decide if Nikolai is a hero or a villain, but Holly doesn’t hate being his prisoner, or his wife.


Nikolai knows he’s a bit of both but he wants to be her hero. There are a lot of good reasons to protect her and claim her, but the only one that matters to him is that he loves Holly. Although she’s furious with him at first, Holly grows to like her new surprise husband more each day. This is a fun holiday romance with a bit of spice and suspense and I loved it.

Absolutely Devoured!

Nikolai Morozov is a brutal Pakhan who kidnaps Holly one night after she sees something she shouldn’t have.

“I’ve been kidnapped by the most handsome man in the fucking world.”

Yes, Yes you have Holly and I’m damn jealous (cue the song that should be me). hehe..

Nikolai is everything you would want in a Pakhan; brutal, loyal, strong and protective.
Then…. You get the side of him he offers to Holly.. caring, sweet, protective and HOT AF.
These two were a ride from the moment they met which was filled with lust and tension.
Lust and tension quickly turned to enemies after a forced marriage.
But… let’s be honest even during the ‘ I hate you’ moments the tension and pull between these two was fire! And the banter between them was strong and tension filled.
The Pakhan definitely found his queen in Holly who is perfect blend of sweet and strong.
For me this was a quick read that was packed full of mafia, tension, drama, suspense, action, romance, secrets and spice.

I never miss a Penny Dee release and I just loved this one!

A short read, but a great one. Set during Christmas, it’s light, fast-paced, and manages to deliver everything in just a few pages. It pulls you in quickly and immerses you in a wonderful instalove. Nikolai is impossible not to love, and while Holly may not be the most empowered protagonist, she fits the story well within its limited pages. If you’re looking for something uncomplicated, entertaining, and perfect to read in one sitting — this is it.

Lectura corta, pero gran lectura. Es una historia ambientada en Navidad: ligera, ágil y que logra tener de todo en muy pocas páginas. Te engancha rápido y te sumerge en un instalove maravilloso. Nikolai es imposible de no amar, y aunque Holly no sea la protagonista más empoderada, en el espacio que tiene logra acompañar muy bien la historia. Si buscás algo sin demasiadas vueltas, que te entretenga y se lea de una sentada (literalmente), este es tu libro.

Mafia romance is one of my favourite tropes, add in a forced marriage, enemies to lovers, and I was in my element. When Holly witnesses Nicolai Morozov commit cold blooded murder, she knows that her life will never be the same again. Going on the run is her only option. Nicolai however, has other plans. His plans have just had to be brought forward, and Holly is the his ultimate goal. Lots of action, a little suspense, and a whole lot of sexy time. Things really are starting to unravel in a cosy lodge in the middle of nowhere Alaska. A short entertaining read with a possessive alpha mafia boss and the feisty woman who is starting to make him feel. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Surprisingly sweet but dark !

This was a great quick holiday read with the all the usual excellent traits of Penny Dee's books. And although the subject is dark (forced relocation, marriage, a whole host of shady characters), the book ends up being surprisingly sweet.

Being a short book - but longer than a novella- the story is fast paced, along with the relationship building but it is well written and well paced.

I enjoyed the way they met and the very relatable "bad ideas" reactions Holly had thought the book.

Holly is soft but strong and Nikolai is only dark for others!

As usual, I did get emotionally involved with the side characters so I'd love to see more stories in that world!

So good!!!!

I love Ms Dees books! This one was so good. It is about Holly and Nikolai. Holly sees something thing she shouldn't so Nikolai takes her to his home in Alaska to keep her safe. Yuri, the evil and vile Wolf, is after her but why?
I can not do reviews very well. I have a hard time with putting my thoughts down. Other reviewers are so good so please read theirs. All I can say is please read this. You will be so glad you did. I received an ARC for my honest review and I also bought a copy for myself. Ms Dee is such an amazing author. Get this book, you will enjoy it! Promise!!!!

Penny Dee is one of those “go to” authors that never lets me down, and she’s continued her winning streak with this book. Snowed In With The Bratva jumps right in to the story and doesn’t let up until the end. Great couple…I expected nothing less…action…of course…and an intriguing storyline. I only found one fault with this story…it was over before I was ready for it to be! I would love a little more from Nikolai and Holly, oh and I’m pretty sure that Dmitri needs a book too…just sayin’! Great job, Ms. Dee, you never fail to entertain!

Mi último romance navideño con un toque más Dark.

La trama fue interesante, te atrapa desde el primer momento y creo que justo antes de comenzar es importante leer los Tropes que tiene:

Tenemos a Holly que por mero error, presencio un asesinato por parte de Nikolai, con quien apenas hace menos de 10 minutos habia hablado y se habia interesado.
Al darse cuenta de lo que paso, huye a su departamento y comprende lo pelogroso que es Nikolai y fue aún más consiente de eso cuando al intentar salir, Nikolai la encuentra en su departamento, la secuestra y la lleva a Alaska, a un rincon muy alejado del pueblo y rodeato totalmente de nieve.
Ahí es donde comienza nuestro Forced proximity y nuestro Arranged marriage que tanto disfruto en los dark romance.

A lo largo del libro, nos muestran el lado protector de Nikolai y la convivencia hace lo suyo con Holly, es super rápido de leer y en ningun momento se te hace tedioso.
Él grita vibras de "tócala y muere" en cuanto decide casarse con ella y por eso justo creo es importante que primero conozcan los Tropes, porque se entiende que a muchas no les gusten pero si definitivamente esperas eso, este libro lo tiene con sus toques Spicy.

Snowed in with the Bratva is a Christmas mafia romance by one of my favorites, Penny Dee.

This is an enemies to lovers style story where Holly becomes a witness, and Nikolai is very much the kind of man who makes his own rules. When a snowstorm traps them together, everything shifts, and they come out of it seeing each other in a completely different light.

There are secrets and twists throughout, and I personally really enjoyed the story. The chemistry between Holly and Nikolai was amazing, and Penny Dee absolutely knows how to write mafia romance.

Love it

Holly witnesses something she shouldn’t have and Nikolai decides the best course of action is to kidnap her. He marries her while he still has her hostage in his lodge. Secrets, action,danger and suspense are all in this awesome story. So much passion between the two that turns into so much love between them. Some of the side characters in this book need their story told. Highly recommend this book and author to everyone 🖤❤️

Holly’s night just keeps getting worse, having to watch her ex boyfriend and boss behave inappropriately at a work event, a situation in an alley and finally being kidnapped by the handsome stranger from the event.

A brilliant story, I was gripped from the very beginning as the plot twists and turns with danger, malice, family betrayals, secrets and passion and an OTT possessive and protective Pakhan .

Looking for a quick and spicy holiday read. Look no farther because this book has it all. Enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, secluded lodge in Alaska and all the drama and spicy you could want. For as short of a read this was, it had a whole plot line and story. It was an absolute perfect holiday mafia romance read and just what you need for the holiday season.

Personally, after reading this I now want to go to Alaska and f*ck under the Northern Lights. 🤭
