Was looking forward to reading it on July 15th as it was the third time that the author pushed the released date but now it’s pushed once again to the next month 😭
Trailer Park Psychos was somehow darker, messier, funnier, and more emotional than the first book. The guys have spent all that time believing Ellie chose to leave them and never looked back, while Ellie has been carrying a reality they know nothing about.
That was probably my favorite part of this book because there is SO much hurt wrapped up in those four years. These men have had years to be angry, bitter, heartbroken, and convince themselves that Ellie walked away and built a life without them. Meanwhile, Ellie is very clearly not the spoiled princess they think she became. Being inside her head while she's trying desperately to hold herself together and hide just how bad things have gotten was genuinely hard to read at times.
Tank absolutely broke my heart. He's this terrifying, scarred giant who sees himself as something monstrous while consistently being one of the gentlest people with Ellie. “I've spent my whole life feeling like a horror show, but Ellie Riggs makes me feel like a person.” SIR. 😭
And somehow, with everything happening, Nikki Lark still had me laughing. Jinx remains exactly my brand of unhinged, Cyrus and his fucking binders delighted me, and I love the completely dysfunctional dynamic between all four men. The humor gives you just enough breathing room before the book goes right back to hurting your feelings.
More than anything, I loved watching all five of them deal with the consequences of those four years apart and begin confronting how much they didn't know about what the others were going through.
There is a lot of revenge, violence, spice, obsession, and absolutely unhinged behavior along the way, but underneath all of it are five damaged people who have never really stopped being each other's home.
Please make sure you are familiar with the trigger warnings before diving into this series. Special thank you to Nikki Lark for this ARC, I couldn't wait for the the completion of Ellie and the King of Ruin's story and i'm so sad it's over but feel absolutely dreamy about how it ended!!!!
I absolutely loved that this book picked up right where Book 1 left off because there was no easing back into the chaos—we were thrown straight back into Ellie and her boys’ messy world.
I loved how chaotic and psycho Ellie, Cyrus, Jinx, Kade, and Tank were. Every single one of them brings something completely different to the table, and I loved each of the boys in their own way. Their dynamic is completely unhinged, entertaining, and somehow still managed to pull at my heart.
This book felt even messier, darker, and funnier, while also bringing a lot more emotion as they dealt with the fallout from everything that happened in the past. There were plenty of chaotic moments, but underneath all that madness were some heavier moments that gave the characters and their relationships more depth. I just wish some of those emotional aspects had been explored a little deeper with each other.
The one thing I struggled with was keeping track of the timeline. There were moments where it felt like a lot more time had passed than actually had, while other times it felt like barely any time had passed when, based on everything happening, there should have been more of a gap. It didn't completely take away from the story, but it did make things a little confusing here and there and sometimes pulled me out of the flow.
But overall, I loved that these five finally got their happy ending after everything they had been through. After all the abuse, trauma, and dark pasts they were each handed, seeing them finally find their happiness together was exactly what they deserved.
This is a heavy book. The previous one obviously isn’t sunshine, rainbows and lollipops but this one has far more violence, more flashbacks of abuse and detox from addiction in a detailed way for a decent amount of time.
Given the amount of BS Todd has pulled over the years, I was expecting a bigger, more painful and slow as hell take down of this jabroni. All in all, I think he gets off pretty freaking easily and it’s fast. Does he suffer? Probably, but is it enough to satisfy us readers? I don’t know about that.
We get to see Ellie and her guys find their way back to each other, some healing of past hurts, intervention to a drug addiction, and some truly happy and heart warming moments that make it all worth it for them in the end. They get their very well deserved happily ever after and the growth for each person is beautifully done and well paced.
There is a lot of spice, a decent plot and a lot of love that is nurtured between these five broken people who found a way to be a whole version of themselves together and on their own. I especially love that we get to see Tank let Ellie all the way in and accept the love he never felt like he deserved.
4.5⭐️ 3.5🌶️
Thank you to Book Sirens and to the author for this advanced reader copy of the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Nikki Lark’s debut duet was top notch! Trailer Park Psycho’s was full of drama, chaos, madness, heartbreak, and most of all…healing on for each psycho and their princess.
Each Psycho brought so much to Ellie’s life, in more ways than one. From the trailer park to the mansion, these four Psychos will do anything for their Princess, even if at one point they felt nothing but betrayal!
Jinx – her slightly unhinged psycho who is willing to go to extreme measures for his princess, even if it ends up hurting her in the process. Cyrus – the ever-elusive psycho who is way to smart for his own damn good! But boy can this man break into anything he touches. Tank – the monster of the teddy bear! His looks may scare most who come across him (I mean… a 6’ 10” man who wears a mask…yes please!) but for his princess, he will move a mountain for her and her alone. Kade – the leader of the Kings of Ruin and the one who holds Ellie and arm’s length the most, even if he believes it is for both their benefit.
Trailer Park Psychos was darker, heavier, messier, but the twists and turns, all I can say is WOW!!!
Bravo to Nikki Lark on her debut duet. I cannot wait to see what is in store from this author!
I received Trailer Park Psychos as an ARC and provided a review willingly.
So excited to get TRAILER PARK PSYCHOS in my hands! Book 1 was the debut for author Nikki Lark—totally blew me out of the water. Book 2 has only increased my opinion of this talented author. This book is well written, the world clearly seen, the plot engaging and entertaining. Now, let’s talk characters. These five characters are incredibly well-fleshed, delightfully complex, so sexy-sexy, and let’s not forget how Carolina Reaper scorching HOT they are when they f-f-f . . . fight 😉 TRAILER PARK PSYCHOS contains a lot of story in these 403–on kindle—pages. I chewed through the pages before I realized time had moved. Good. Stuff. *** Recommended *** Definitely ***

I think the conclusion to this duet is epic. I love Ellie. She doesn’t hold back anything and gives as good as she gets, and is unfailingly honest. This author doesn’t hold back and the scenes when Ellie tries to get clean is harrowing, but this is addictive reading and feels real. This is the best compliment I can give this author as I feel like I was seeing through Ellie’s eyes! It was heart wrenching as Cyrus, Jinx, Kade and Tank all hate was she is going through, but know it is the best thing for her. I love how it wasn’t trivialised and the she is still going through it throughout the whole story. I have to say that I did not expect the ending, but it could not have been better as it summed up Ellie’s life perfectly. P.S. Tank is still my favourite! He is caring, protective and oh so lovely! I want one!!
Finally! As soon as my eyes awoke this morning all I could do was jump up and grab my phone and download Trailer park psychos! I have been waiting 4 months after I read the first book. So anyways the review....I have zero complaints. Each man has his own character and I'm glad that none are alike. Tank is by far always my favorite...the ferocious beast that is a soft puppy inside. Jinx and Cyrus are hilarious and make a great team. Kade is that typical bad boy and I loved every moment. They way they helped Ellie and finally understood her motives and the thinks she did not do to them. The end was a bitter sad but won't give any hints of it here. The true ending was amazing and wish there would be book 3 but I know this is a wrap up.
I absolutely LOVED this whole 2 book story! I enjoyed Nikki Lark's writing! It never got to a point where I had to skip paragraphs or even pages bc it wasn't going anywhere. The book kept me reading all day and couldn't or wouldn't put it down and there are not many books I can say that about. I would definitly recommend this book if you enjoy the reverse hareem genre😉 and are a little on the dark and twisted side, bc hey....aren't we all a little? Some just don't mind letting others know! ☠️😈🙈🙉🙊 #forevertrailertrashprincess #neverforgetwhereurfrom
This series was amazing!! I absolutely loved the characters and im definitely going to miss them i wish there was more books to this series. I would have loved to see one of her becoming the bad@ss Queen to their empire they’ve built. I love how different they are but they work well together and none of them feel whole until they are all together. I absolutely loved the first book but this one definitely blew it out of the water. I couldn’t put it down it definitely had me hooked. This is definitely a series I will be reading a few times!! I cant wait to see what your next series will be hopefully another reverse harem!!
Oh this author sure knows how to spin a story so that you are hooked in and ready to find out what's going on I have been waiting since book one ended and I can't tell you how fast I devoured this book.
We doing back with Ellie and the boys that she signed her life away in order to have them Grant her one wish that she wanted and this goes more in depth that tells about the different heat and spice she has with each of the four that she has always loved and has no way to hate them even though apparently they have a lot a feeling towards her
This book was everything I needed!! 😍 I was genuinely sad to end my journey with Ellie and the boys. I’m still completely obsessed with them! The raw emotion woven into each character and relationship was written so beautifully, and I loved how different and addictive each connection felt.
Okay, now for the part you’ve all been waiting for… THE SMUT. 👀🔥 In true why-choose fashion, this book was HOT. Every relationship brought something different to the story, and I was absolutely hooked.
This picks up right where we left off in book 2. Elli and her boys are still stubborn as hell but on their way back to finding each other and discovering the truth of what happened all those years ago. There was an unexpected twist that I did not see coming at all, and it worked really well with the story line. Character development is top notch. I was much less frustrated with Kade in this book, redemption arc on point. I liked the series and would def recommend it.
Been waiting months for this, even had the release date on my calender and it did not disappoint! What an ending and a happy ending which makes me sad it's over! This series will always have a special place in my heart cause it's the first why-choose book I've read! An introduction to the world of 'why have 1 when you can have 5' !!
A good second half to the duet's story. Liked the variety, exploration and acceptance if different relationships, and the element of found/chosen family mixed with childhood friends. The miscommunication in book 1 was resolved as much as it could be in book 2 which led to an amicable HEA
Loved these books can’t wait for more some times broken is beautiful. Never let your past or your circumstances stop you from shining and being the best you that you can be.
