Could be my depression talking, but I’m pretty sure the yearning here would have made anyone think a bridge is an easier option. The absolute misery that this book is. The yearning that made you feel like her heart was getting crushed to dust.
This definitely wasn’t a perfectly executed book, there were a few things that could use an additional proofread, but I honestly couldn’t care less. I don’t have any capacity to care about anything other than figuring out how to stop being so emotionally devastated by this duology. I even kept reading lines over again so that I could live in this world a little bit longer.
Not only was the plot so heartbreakingly beautiful, but the way Nikki’s words came together was actual art. They packed a punch without the drama (praise baby Jesus), and they were so damn believable. I honestly am walking away from this book with no doubt that these characters are real, alive and living the life they deserve.
Also, Nikki dear, if you could, please publish more books immediately.

I loved the dynamics between the group and how well they all complimented each other. I felt like i was also going through what Ellie experienced when she was going through rehab. The ending was also perfect 💗

Trailer Park Psychos — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I felt so much for Ellie in this book. That woman went THROUGH IT, and there were moments when my heart genuinely hurt for her. But underneath everything she endured, I kept waiting for that fighter to come back—the Ellie who grew up with her boys, could hold her own, and refused to stay down. I was rooting so damn hard for her to find that version of herself again.
And then there are the boys… because how exactly are we supposed to choose?!
Jinx — the perverted golden retriever who will get your pulse racing one minute and steal your damn clothes the next. Completely unhinged, ridiculously lovable, and somehow impossible not to adore.
Cy — Clark Kent meets filthy-minded tech genius. Nerdy, brilliant, deceptively sexy, and proof that apparently computer skills can be a turn-on.
Tank — my HEART. The gentle giant who is terrified of what he’s capable of because he knows just how easily he could crush a man—and absolutely has when necessary. But with Ellie? He’s something completely different. Their connection felt deeper, softer, and like true love underneath all the chaos.
And finally…
Kade — the self-proclaimed leader with a slight obsession with burning shit to the ground. Dominant, possessive, dangerous, and somehow has you thinking being collared and called his pet doesn’t sound half bad.
This book took me through so many emotions. I laughed, hurt for Ellie, fell harder for each of these psychos, got completely wrapped up in their twisted little family—and then THAT ENDING.

Absolutely devoured Trailer Park Psychos. Ellie and her boys officially have me hooked, and I’m not ready to leave this beautifully dysfunctional trailer park family behind.

I fell in love with each of these characters in the first book from the moment the scary monster with the softest heart saved Ellie from her bullies and introduced her to the rest of "her boys". And now, in this book, it was only right that Tank was the one to accept her first against the rest of them. I loved seeing how helping Ellie helped heal each of them from the past in different ways. The investigation against her stepfather added some action and mystery to keep things interesting. But I mostly just loved the dynamic of the whole group! I'm looking forward to seeing what this author does next.

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 4/5 ➡️➡️➡️ The final in this duet did not let me down. Kade, Jinx, Cy and Tank all continued to play their rolls in Ellie’s life. Kade, the leader, taking his sweet damn time to make amends with her. The worst (and best 😉) of the bunch.
The guys continue to take down her step-father. But sadly coming to the realization that Ellie is in deep trouble. She’s out of control. She’s an addict. 💊 READ THE TRIGGERS
The fact that her mother (the bigger shock) and step-father completely derailed and ruined her life. I couldn’t imagine doing that, as a parent now.
The guys manage to save the day in multiple ways. In sad ways in the end. They console her. They take care of her. They help her. They encourage her. It’s sweet. They waited years for her and now the secrets are finally out. Especially Cyrus & Jinx’s secret secret (zero judgment here)

TWO DAYS!
I finished it in two days!
i've been waiting for book 2 since finishing book 1.
I love how different the guys' personalities are but also each complement Ellie perfectly.
In my mind, Tank looks like Harvey Dent from Dark Knight Rises, Jinx would be Thor, if Thor was gay, Cyrus is Clark Kent, and Kade is Jack Reacher.
My only issue is the positioning logistics of a 6'10'' battering ram and a 5'3'' fairy. She'd literally be split in half.
This was a great follow up from Trailer Park Princess.

If you don't like things a little on the twisted side...don't read. BUT if you're anything like me and appreciate the finer art of unhinged things, this book will be your cup of tea with a shot of whiskey!

I did enjoy this book. It complemented the first book and finished the story in the best way.
I will honestly say there was a part I did not enjoy, but that was completely personal and nothing related to writing or the story.
I’ve been waiting for this book to come out since I finished the first. It had a good amount of spice and a lot of emotions. It’s has a more dark theme but is easy to read. I would highly recommend.

I loved this so much. This wrapped up the duet perfectly. All four of these guys were amazing. Loved their personalities, their individual roles, the way they all worked together so well. This was dark and spicy, with awesome twists and turns. Definitely buying this duet to put on my shelf.

the heroine was separated from her men so one of the heroes started dressing like her and fucking the other hero, all while looking like a clone of the heroine. disgusting. The heroine was suffering, being abused all alone and one of her men was taking her place dressed in her clothes and even wearing a wig the same color of the heroines hair. How is this supposed to be romance?

okay so this had me in the first half and then sorta kinda fell off toward the end…here were my issues:
1. she only ever told Tank she loved him - i didn’t like that none of the other guys got that.
2. we didn’t got a clear relationship status or definition with Cyrus and Jinx which felt unfair to them.
3. the first time she and Kade are totally — which i waited patiently for — felt rushed.
4. AND the group scene was way too quick and hurried.
those things made this feel closer to a 3.5/4 which really sucks cuz i loved the first book and half of this one. kinda bummed me out ngl

the more i think about this book the more pissed off i feel.
let’s start by saying that this book was supposed to be released back in march 🤡 the author delayed this so many times and couldn’t even give the readers a heads up (had to find out after checking it myself on amazon MANY times) with the exception for the newest and latest release date (13th of august) — having said that, i truly hope she has learned the lesson of communication with readers since she is a newbie
now with that out of the way, when i first read trailer park princess i was surprised to see this was gonna be a duet and not a trilogy because i was scared things would be rushed… and i was right in a way.
the story itself wasn’t THAT rushed and i liked the route it took (although it could’ve been explored more in depth)… i enjoyed seeing how things would develop BUT the relationship aspect definitely was, as well as character depth and evolution.
i finished this having NO idea:
• who is cyrus — he felt the less explored out of the 4 men… i genuinely didn’t feel the childhoodconnection between him and ellie and i have NO idea what his family was like, how was he, what did he do after ellie left, NOTHING.
• how did the kings built their supposed “kingdom” — like hello? is anyone gonna fill us in on how they ended up getting so much money? where were the “army” of guys they had? like things felt so disconnected and it just looked like they were rich dumbasses that only pretended to work and only focused when it was to help ellie
• jinx childhood trauma? his story? his brother? what happened after ellie left? HELLO??? let’s also apply this to tank and kade
• how ellie coped and what she did during these times apart… i would also LOVE to know what happened to her uni friend? did she just vanished into thin air? no one thought to check on her? like bro what the fuck
now for the closing points:
• tank was annoyingly similar to wraith and like lenore rosewood, it’s clear tank is also this author’s favorite mmc because what do u mean his brother is being tortured and you go and fuck your girl bc she wants to see what you look like under the mask? my fucking god!!!!!!! i don’t want more tank content, i wanna see more of jinx and cyrus.
• WHY ARE WE THINKING ABOUT FORGIVING THAT ASSHOLE OF A MOTHER? my god i wanted to strangle this bitch from the beginning!!!! sometimes parents shouldn’t be forgiven and that’s OKAY. the most useful thing she did was killing todd and herself in the process, SORRY.

URGH I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! this book is the closest 5 star read without quite getting 5 stars. 4.99999 stars! Okay SO.
Firstly the writing is really good. Easy to read, immersive but not overly descriptive and the pacing is great. There were only two times that I wished a sentence wasn’t included in the book. Book 1 was “maybe it’s maybelline”- just took me out of the book and was SO random. Book 2 a description that suggested CY looked like a butler cosplay on tiktok- I really hate tiktok references in books sorry. However, please don’t let these put you off everything else is genuinely spot on! Spicy scenes were great! Honestly could have been more but it was a good level for the story!
Characters were really really good. The FMC stood up for herself well but knew when to back down, she didn’t just do everything they told her to. She never complained about her situation and she made good choices always! I find it difficult to get an FMC I like these days but she was a good one! The MMCs each had really good differentiators and personalities. I loved them all. Tank was my favourite and sometimes it felt like he had the strongest bond with the fmc but it worked and it never gave favoritism. Great level of MM and didn’t include a bi awakening (for those who don’t like that). They each got their own attention in addition to group attention, although maybe Kade got the least? Which is surprising as he is the “leader” BUT he got the most dialogue with the fmc. But it was perfectly balanced and she had really good chemistry with the guys and the guys with eachother. Had such a lovely found family vibe to it.

Overall this had such a lovely found family vibe, I LOVED book 1 as it was so cute reading about the trailer park days but Book 2 was also really good. The reason this didn’t get 5 stars is firstly I am a harsh rater, and secondly because as the story progressed we didn’t get to see as many fun group moments. Book 1 had these at the beginning with nice moments from the trailer park and everyone having fun, would have been lovely to see this more throughout as it makes you feel like part of their family. It’s a fussy point but just didn’t quite reach 5 stars for me. Loved it though.

Finally! This is what I’ve been waiting for since the first book! As the truth slowly starts to come to light, I can’t deny the sheer satisfaction I felt watching certain characters realize just how spectacularly wrong they’ve been all along. I loved watching the individual relationships between Ellie and the boys evolve, and in many respects, they felt stronger this time around. Though Tank continues to be my favorite, I found myself warming to the other three, especially Jinx and his gloriously twisted sense of humor. However, Tank completely stole my heart, and nearly broke it when we finally learn his backstory. The fact that, after everything he’s been through, he could still be such a gentle giant of a man and love Ellie so beautifully absolutely melted me. And then…that moment when he finally shows her his face. Shocking, but somehow strangely sweet at the same time? Hard to describe what I felt. My least favorite of the four was undoubtedly Kade, who desperately needed a reality check. Preferably delivered by someone’s fists. Interestingly, this second half of the duet is much more character-driven than the first book, with far more room for character development rather than relying quite so heavily on the spice. And now that the boys know exactly what Ellie’s stepfather, Todd, put her through, there’s no question that he has to pay. Although, if I’m being completely honest, I didn’t find his comeuppance quite as satisfying as I wanted it to be. I wanted him to suffer. Sorry, but it’s true. One of the most powerful aspects of the book for me was watching Ellie fight her addiction to medication. I really appreciated that it wasn’t treated as a one-and-done storyline, either. Addiction doesn’t simply disappear because someone decides to get clean; the battle against that compulsion is ongoing, and I thought that was handled particularly well. There were plenty of “lump in my throat” moments, but thankfully, they were balanced out by some genuinely hilarious ones. Overall, there is a LOT packed into this book, but beneath all the chaos, darkness, and beautifully unhinged behavior are five damaged souls who have found something none of them ever expected—a place where they belong.

After finishing the first book, I was hoping this sequel would deliver on all the tension, misunderstandings, and unanswered questions, and thankfully it did. Trailer Park Psychos felt much more balanced, giving equal attention to the romance, character growth, and the overall story.
One of my favorite parts was finally seeing the truth come out. Watching assumptions crumble and certain characters realize just how wrong they had been was incredibly satisfying. The relationships felt stronger and more meaningful this time around because everyone was forced to confront the past and deal with the consequences of their actions. Ellie especially stood out to me. She isn't the typical "strong heroine" who suddenly becomes invincible. Her strength comes from her resilience, kindness, and determination to keep moving forward despite everything she's endured.
As for the guys, Tank completely stole my heart. His story was heartbreaking, but his loyalty, gentleness, and unwavering love for Ellie made him my favorite from beginning to end. Jinx was another standout, bringing humor and chaos to some otherwise heavy moments. I also appreciated that each of the men had distinct personalities and unique relationships with Ellie rather than blending together.
This book tackles some darker themes, and there were parts that were genuinely emotional to read. I liked that these moments had weight and weren't included simply for shock value. The characters were affected by what happened, and it influenced their choices and relationships throughout the story.
My only reason for not giving it five stars is that I would have loved a little more time with some of the relationships, particularly after certain conflicts were resolved. A few emotional moments could have been explored more deeply, and I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to these characters when the story ended.

Trailer Park Psychos was somehow darker, messier, funnier, and more emotional than the first book. The guys have spent all that time believing Ellie chose to leave them and never looked back, while Ellie has been carrying a reality they know nothing about.
That was probably my favorite part of this book because there is SO much hurt wrapped up in those four years. These men have had years to be angry, bitter, heartbroken, and convince themselves that Ellie walked away and built a life without them. Meanwhile, Ellie is very clearly not the spoiled princess they think she became. Being inside her head while she's trying desperately to hold herself together and hide just how bad things have gotten was genuinely hard to read at times.
Tank absolutely broke my heart. He's this terrifying, scarred giant who sees himself as something monstrous while consistently being one of the gentlest people with Ellie. “I've spent my whole life feeling like a horror show, but Ellie Riggs makes me feel like a person.” SIR. 😭
And somehow, with everything happening, Nikki Lark still had me laughing. Jinx remains exactly my brand of unhinged, Cyrus and his fucking binders delighted me, and I love the completely dysfunctional dynamic between all four men. The humor gives you just enough breathing room before the book goes right back to hurting your feelings.
More than anything, I loved watching all five of them deal with the consequences of those four years apart and begin confronting how much they didn't know about what the others were going through.

The strong point of this duology is the characters.
Ellie - I liked her in the first book, but I loved her when Tank took off his mask.
Tank - believes he's a monster but is actually the softest sweetheart. Would protect him with my life.
Jinx - A "charmer" who's actually charming. Book boyfriend and BFF wrapped up in one pretty package. He thinks he's the weak link in the group, but he doesn't get enough credit for the way he takes care of everyone else. Learning that he would be attending college with Ellie at the end made my heart grow three sizes.
Cyrus - I always fall for the tech nerd, and Cyrus is no exception. Only...the nerd rarely has so much competition from the other MMCs.
Kade - ehh...we can't have everything. I kind of wanted to smack him for so much of the book. Like how does it take so long for him to figure out that if the FMC is addicted to anxiety meds, maybe he shouldn't be causing her so much anxiety?
Where this duology suffered was in wrapping up the loose ends. I have so many unanwered questions, starting with WHY Ellie's mother forged the note. I know the timing was never right, but I wanted her to be confronted with the actual fallout from her actions, like learning how Kade almost died. We never actually learned what dirt Todd had on her. Was it a quid-pro-quo with him helping her ex in exchange for marrying Todd? That wouldn't force her to actually stay with him, though. Ellie's suspicion of blackmail would make a lot more sense. All indications point to Todd not caring about Ellie or Marney at all. They were just accessories to make him look like a family man. So why was he so obsessed with figuring out how Kade knew Ellie? And why go to so much trouble to check Marney out of rehab and lure Ellie out? Was it simply petty revenge?

I've enjoyed this two-book series detailing the relationship between Ellie and her boys. Kade, Tank, Cyrus, and Jinx were a major part of her life when she lived in the trailer park with her Mam. But once she left, it was as if they wanted nothing more to do with her. Heartbroken that those she always thought would be beside her so easily dismissed her once she left.
Kade, Tank, Cyrus, and Jinx fought their way out of the trailer park. The course they took may not exactly be legal, but they are in a position of power and wealth. Now they have their focus on Ellie, their princess who ghosted them, who left them for a better life, who didn't want anything to do with the 'trash' from the other side of the tracks. But do each of them know the full story? Have the boys been given a different one from the one that Ellie has known? Have the boys just been looking at the surface of Ellie's life, the one she allows the world to see? What is she hiding and why, and when they find out, every ounce of anger turns not toward her, but toward themselves.
The men are now determined to protect Ellie and her mam; they will use any means necessary to burn Todd, her stepfather. They know he is crooked as well as abusive. How he hides behind his smile, his wealth, his standing in the community; they need to find the trail that leads to his crimes. He needs to pay for what he has put their princess through. We actually get plot, character development, consequences, and a much deeper look at the relationships between Ellie and the guys.
One of my favorite things was watching the dynamics between them change as assumptions started falling apart and pieces of the past finally came to light. There are misunderstandings that desperately needed to be cleared up, some very satisfying realizations, and plenty of moments where certain characters are forced to confront just how spectacularly wrong they’ve been. 😆
The book also deals with some very heavy subjects, and parts of Ellie’s story were genuinely difficult to read. I appreciated that the darker elements weren’t simply there for shock value. They affected the characters, their choices, and the way they related to each other.

I absolutely loved that this book picked up right where Book 1 left off because there was no easing back into the chaos—we were thrown straight back into Ellie and her boys’ messy world.
I loved how chaotic and psycho Ellie, Cyrus, Jinx, Kade, and Tank were. Every single one of them brings something completely different to the table, and I loved each of the boys in their own way. Their dynamic is completely unhinged, entertaining, and somehow still managed to pull at my heart.
This book felt even messier, darker, and funnier, while also bringing a lot more emotion as they dealt with the fallout from everything that happened in the past. There were plenty of chaotic moments, but underneath all that madness were some heavier moments that gave the characters and their relationships more depth. I just wish some of those emotional aspects had been explored a little deeper with each other.
The one thing I struggled with was keeping track of the timeline. There were moments where it felt like a lot more time had passed than actually had, while other times it felt like barely any time had passed when, based on everything happening, there should have been more of a gap. It didn't completely take away from the story, but it did make things a little confusing here and there and sometimes pulled me out of the flow.
But overall, I loved that these five finally got their happy ending after everything they had been through. After all the abuse, trauma, and dark pasts they were each handed, seeing them finally find their happiness together was exactly what they deserved.

The plot moves forward with high stakes as the Kings of Ruin agree to eliminate Ellie’s stepfather, but the real heart of the book is the raw, toxic, and beautiful connection between Ellie and her four men. Ellie is a phenomenal heroine who is fighting a losing battle against her own mind, and her desperate attempts to hide her pain from the boys added a layer of tragedy to every single interaction.
Each MMC brings a different brand of chaos to the table. Kade’s destructive anger, Cyrus’s calculated hacking games, and Jinx’s obsessive imitation of Ellie create an environment of constant tension. Tank, the scarred gentle giant, provides a beautiful contrast with his quiet belief that she deserves far better than any of them. The reverse harem dynamic is complicated, dark, and highly passionate. The moment the guys realize that Ellie is falling apart and they must unite to protect her from herself is the highlight of the book, showing that even monsters are capable of profound, self-sacrificing love.

If you read the first book than you know to hang on and get comfortable because you won’t be putting this down until the last page has been turned. We pick up Ellie knowing she has been through so much while the boys think Ellie chose to leave them and never look back, while Ellie has been carrying a reality they know nothing about. But the hurt they all feel for the displacement is crazy and none of them know how to communicate or use their words to explain what is going on with them but instead they continue the path they are on but that is about to change. Our men have built up their anger, bitterness, further breaking their hearts that she left the, behind with a great life without them while the truth was, she was just barely surviving while trying to keep her sanity while wanting them and they were the only things that got her through it but she can’t even get them to listen. Tank is a gentle giant despite what others think of him or what he thinks of himself what he shows Ellie is a gentle giant, than we have Jinx who is a tad bit crazy ….well he is a lot of cray, Cyrus with his issues and lets not forget our fierce leader Kade who needs to be hit a few times really, really hard where it hurts but deep down and I mean really deep down he cares but what did her mom have to do with getting the ball rolling on the whole mess, will she have to answer to it, will we have see the fight return to our girl, will they heal one another , and will they find happiness or are they meant to fight for it every step of the way?

This is a heavy book. The previous one obviously isn’t sunshine, rainbows and lollipops but this one has far more violence, more flashbacks of abuse and detox from addiction in a detailed way for a decent amount of time.
Given the amount of BS Todd has pulled over the years, I was expecting a bigger, more painful and slow as hell take down of this jabroni. All in all, I think he gets off pretty freaking easily and it’s fast. Does he suffer? Probably, but is it enough to satisfy us readers? I don’t know about that.
We get to see Ellie and her guys find their way back to each other, some healing of past hurts, intervention to a drug addiction, and some truly happy and heart warming moments that make it all worth it for them in the end. They get their very well deserved happily ever after and the growth for each person is beautifully done and well paced.
There is a lot of spice, a decent plot and a lot of love that is nurtured between these five broken people who found a way to be a whole version of themselves together and on their own. I especially love that we get to see Tank let Ellie all the way in and accept the love he never felt like he deserved.

Given the amount of BS Todd has pulled over the years, I was expecting a bigger, more painful and slow as hell take down of this jabroni. All in all, I think he gets off pretty freaking easily and it’s fast. Does he suffer? Probably, but is it enough to satisfy us readers? I don’t know about that.

Even Monsters deserve a HEA
Nikki Lark’s debut duet was top notch! Trailer Park Psycho’s was full of drama, chaos, madness, heartbreak, and most of all…healing on for each psycho and their princess.
Each Psycho brought so much to Ellie’s life, in more ways than one. From the trailer park to the mansion, these four Psychos will do anything for their Princess, even if at one point they felt nothing but betrayal!
Jinx – her slightly unhinged psycho who is willing to go to extreme measures for his princess, even if it ends up hurting her in the process.
Cyrus – the ever-elusive psycho who is way to smart for his own damn good! But boy can this man break into anything he touches.
Tank – the monster of the teddy bear! His looks may scare most who come across him (I mean… a 6’ 10” man who wears a mask…yes please!) but for his princess, he will move a mountain for her and her alone.
Kade – the leader of the Kings of Ruin and the one who holds Ellie and arm’s length the most, even if he believes it is for both their benefit.
Trailer Park Psychos was darker, heavier, messier, but the twists and turns, all I can say is WOW!!!

I enjoyed this book, but for me, it didn’t quite live up to the potential I saw in the first one.
The plot itself felt quite slow, and not a huge amount seemed to happen. However, the characters and their development were brilliant, and they were definitely the reason I kept reading. I really enjoyed Ellie as a main character. She was much more meek and vulnerable than many female main characters, which made her feel realistic and easy to connect with.
I also thought Ellie’s struggles with drugs were handled really well. Those parts of the story felt raw and believable, and they added a lot of depth to her character.
My biggest disappointment was that I felt the abuse Ellie suffered was only really touched upon. I kept waiting for a bigger, more emotional moment where she finally opened up to the boys about everything she’d been through. I also expected a more impactful confrontation involving Todd, and I would have loved to have seen the MMCs step in and protect her in a more significant way.
Overall, I think this is a book that succeeds because of its characters rather than its plot. I enjoyed reading it, but I was left wanting more from some of the story’s biggest and most emotional moments.

Ellie, Tank, Jinx, Kade & Cyrus

Overall, this book was okay. There are a lot of contradictions from book 1 to this one; Just to name a couple - Jinx’s eye color changed & Ellie’s last name is back to her birth name vs her adopted name.
Everything was wrapped up but it kind of left me feeling unsatisfied. Todd had a quick ending & Ellie didn’t get to confront her mom about the letters or her dad. Answers were provided but the resolution was not satisfying at all.
This may be a me issue because I can only suspend reality so far in a somewhat realistic book BUT, for Tank to have bones showing in his face - especially for 10+ years, you would think he would be meticulous about cleanliness. The infections that he would get without the tissue barrier would have already played its role. This was a disservice to Tank. As someone who has been around two people that had dog attacks (one was a best friend in elementary school & it was her head & the other was a previous step mom & it was her face), I understand that dogs can do damage but that type of damage with major “rejections” from skin grafting is crazy work.
Anyway - I enjoyed the series but I would not read again. I’m in the middle of if I would actually recommend or not.
