Momo Kisaragi has a problem. She has to be the center of attention. In fact, she can't get people to stop looking at her. But when a chance encounter leads her to discover the strange truth behind her eye-catching ability, she's thrust into a deadly hostage situation that's far more than she bargained for--and that's before she runs into her shut-in brother, Shintaro!
It was so good ! The chapters are a little long but it’s a basic length of manga. I LOVE KANO SO SO MUCH. Mary is so adorable !!! I actually really like all the characters except Shintaro. Shintaro can go cry in a corner. Did I mention that my favourite character is Kano ? I really like Kano for your information. Kano is great. I love how he was being kidnapped and he’s texting and taking selfies.
Wasn’t a wholeheartedly bad story, and book, and provided a unique perspective on events that had already transpired, plus establishing some new characters, a worthwhile read!
Volume 2 of the manga adaptation of Kagerou Daze adapts the second half of the novel and, it seems, a first bit of the second one. In it, Momo Kiseragi and her new friends in the Mekakushi Dan work to save her brother (and other hostages) from terrorists. At the same time, her brother and Momo are working on a similar plan, showing how alike they are (much to Momo's dismay.
The denouement of the manga was a fun day at the amusement park. The novel referred to this a bit, so I am not sure whether this was expanded on from the novel for filler to end the manga, or the beginning of the adaptation of the second book.
I really liked the high-jinks of the new group of friends, and I know he is disliked by his sister as a shut-in, NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) loser, but I felt a lot of empathy towards Shintaro. Is this my tender heart or similarities, I wonder.
All in all, it was a fun manga adaptation that has me looking forward to the next light novel and manga. Whether it was just filler or a continuing adaptation, I really enjoyed it. Really cute.
Also, Marie is so adorable and kind, yet shy and pouty. She's such a woobie. :)
Loved it! Honestly I finished it way too quickly. I should have paced it properly since there's really only 8 volumes and the series is amazing, I don't want to run out too quickly.
Anyways, the backstory was really really good. I loveeee Haruka and Takane they're acc so cute. The plot twist was unexpected, where the teacher turned Haruka into Konoha. Actually, slightly expected since in vol 1 there was a character Konoha and Haruka's alter ego is Konoha, but i didn't think the teacher would have anything to do with it. I love how the intrigue was set up, especially with how the teacher talked about the "key".
The interactions are so adorable, I love the characters, I love how it doesn't feel like too much when reading.
I'm starting volume 3 today as well, inshallah.

3.5. Me ha gustado bastante he conocido más personajes pero no se conoce las personalidades de estos, lo que más me gusta de este manga es que es muy gracioso , pero hay cosas que no me han gustado por qué me parecían poco realistas.
I’m not quite sure about the plot of this series… it’s a little bit winding and it feels like filler. The main character is also a bit judgmental of his new group, but perhaps he will have a strong role to play soon.

VOLUME 2 IS SOOO GOOD TOO!!!! I LOVE THE AMUSEMENT PARK ARC, IT SHOWS US A LOT ABOUT CHARACTERS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIPS!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO READ ABOUT ENE’S BACKSTORY IN THE NEXT VOLUME!!! (Btw I read it on August 15th, so happy Kagerou Project day!!!)
Volume 2 continues the retelling of the story from volume 1, then the gang goes to the amusement park. Fortunately, this is my last volume from this series, although it continues.
I really want to like this series, and the idea of it still intrigues me. But given that this volume was in the same time as where the first one started, I’m feeling more unsure now.
I do typically like seeing alternate points of view, seeing what happened in other peoples minds. It was done well here, given that this time we’re with the sister, and she is meeting the group in a very different way. We get to see them and know them better here, and see what happens in the hostage situation better. I do like the group of characters—they intrigue me a lot, and the idea of what is happening is interesting.
But there wasn’t much progression in this volume. I’m still not much closer to the characters or figuring out what is happening, or what the objective is. I’m a little confused.
I might pick up the next one when I get the chance, but I might not. I’m just feeling iffy about it.
The second volume of Kagerou Daze was honestly a huge bore for me. The story was just not engaging to me like the previous volume was and I found some of the characters to be mean spirited or just plain idiotic to the point where I was extremely annoyed. It also didn't help that I kept confusing Marie and Momo because of their similar appearance. It wasn't until the final ten or fifteen pages that I started to enjoy the story like I did in the previous volume. I'll give this manga one more shot and if my feelings don't improve I may discontinue this series.
This manga series is fun, but I don't have very much time so I'm just going to jot down a few notes:
-The characters are still my favorite part of this. This could be because I have already seen the anime, and even though little things were changed, it's the same basic story. But the characters, man. They're great.
-The art isn't my favorite manga style, but it does its job. No complaints here.
-It's amusing! I think it's funny, some of the dialogue is great.
3.5/4 While this volume did a better job of explaining the backstory of last volume's introduction, I'm still feel a bit lost my undertanding of the group's purpose and the end game. Will read on though!
