The Twisting Ladder

Rate this book
Murder, perverse dreams of immortality, and a hibernating bat are family matters which only Patrick Bird could resolve.

A cutting edge tech developer has been murdered in a picturesque Italian city, and single father Patrick Bird must navigate a spiraling kaleidoscope of historical secrets and monstrous new technology while occasionally enjoying la dolce vita.

Ever wondered what the "broligarchs" really want to do with all that money?

Two local detectives investigate the unusual comings and goings of a few international tycoons at the ultramodern medical clinic of a remote mountaintop castle by the sea.

Philip K. Dick meets Haruki Murakami in this fast-paced and ironic literary thriller.

"Dark, compelling, and very funny." (from Miss Sparkling Books review of "Il Traduttore")

When murder and immortality are family matters, some souls get lost in translation.

A real deal page-turner. Chock full of mystery, history, and adventure. Funny, too. Made me laugh out loud several times. The Italian setting description makes you want to book a ticket to the old country asap. A very good read.
